  1. I will make a more detailed post if needed but follow the path of the /Library/xxxx/xxxx/xxx/com.apple.xxxx.nat and just delete the entries. Don't use xcode to edit the file use something vi or nano from the terminal unless you have a text editor like atom or sublime text. The default text editor likes to save things as .rtf and sometimes it's ok other times it will break shit. I'll also upload or send you the default file if you want a reference of what it was or just replace it all together. Do you run your wifi to your house through the PC?
  2. There are a couple tutorials written up that explain how to route traffic from the pineapple to PC to run things like bettercap
  3. You need to use the wall adapter along with the usb cable to ensure enough power or if being powered by a 5v source ( battery pack ) you need to use min of 2 5v2.4a ports which is why you get a y-cable.
  4. switch your attackmode to STORAGE ECM_ETHERNET
  5. Happy Fathers Day to everybody!!!
  6. Mine does also and I have had it in a blazing hot car collecting ssid for a couple hrs and it was in a case. I do not suggest this at all, I could barely handle the nano when i took it out of the case, but it still works. So what I did was took the case apart and opened up the premade vents on the case a little more to help disipate the heat faster, also put some RPi heatsinks on some of the chips.
  7. The best way I have found to setup wp6.sh is using the manual option. In the above your HOST IP Address is not 172.16.42.42, it should be the IP address of the PC itself, everything else looks right. Kali linux will set your pineapple as the active Internet connection when you plug it in, go to settings and network to change it back. for some reason Kali doesnt like to let 2 eth0 or eth1 both be on at the same time.
  8. Depends on what you are using with the pineapple. If it draws as much power as the nano itself then yes you will want to get a powered hub or just like the pineapple a usb Y cable. In my experience, using the rt5370 snubby wifi dongle i dont need a hub because the nano can power it just fine. If I use my ALFA AWUS051nV2, which came with a Y cable, then yes I also plug that into the battery im using. This way your not trying to push to much power through the nano and it should stay cooler theoretically. Snubby RT5370 RTL-SDR Alfa AWUS036neh TP-link wn722 ^^^^ these are all things I have used with my nano without using a powered hub or extra power for the dongle. If you underpower your nano then you also underpower your dongle.
  9. PineAP will not replace the network and if your clients are connect to the secured network then most likely you wont get them to connect. PineAP works off OpenAP SSID's. So you will never get somebody to connect to an ssid that has wpa/wpa2 security on it. You just have to hope that they have connected to an OpenAP at some point and it takes precedence over the secured network they are connected too.
  10. $ wget http://www.wifipineapple.com/wp6.sh
  11. You need to enable ICS on your machine to forward internet to the pineapple. But to help with that we need to know what OS your using.
  12. try a factory reset and see if that helps. Also the Nano does run hot but all temps are within normal operating standards. Ive had times where it seems way to hot to operate but mine has always functioned properly.
  13. try using an external battery and the pc to see if you get the same result. Are you running the latest 1.1.3 firmware?
  14. How are you powering the nano, is it getting the full 5v2a that it needs to function properly?
  15. It will either ask or use both 2.4 and 5. if you want PineAP to use 5ghz then set the channel on the Open AP to a 5ghz channel. Make sure its a valid channel for your country. US anything between 140 and 165 are good.
  16. are the clients you are trying to get connected to the Pineapple already connected to say your home wifi? If your at home most likely your devices are connected to your home network which makes it hard to get them to connect and if you have never connected to an open AP with those devices then you wont get any clients on the pineapple. PineAP takes advantage of the client connecting to an OpenAP and it being stored in their device. PineAP wont grab clients with a password protected SSID, such as your home network.
  17. 5Ghz as in PineAP open AP or Scanning?
  18. reboot the pineapple and if the problem still persists give it a factory reset and see if it still does it. Also the Tetra is very power hungry, are you using the wall plug in?
  19. First of all if you don't know what it does or how it works you should start with the youtube channel to figure out what this device is. Second we need more info than " its just weird" does not help anybody be able to further assist you with this "weird device".
  20. are the devices your trying to get to connect to the pineapple still connected to another Wifi?
  21. Its all good any resources to help others is awesome. I never figured a VID/PID would ever matter, but I found myself being wrong. PS - I had full permission along with the IT supervisor next to me when I did this. I had a basic ducky script that just calls a website when inserted, I used it on a machine on the network and nothing happened, I was puzzled because I'm not an IT guy or a sec specialist, just a hobby for me. But as soon as I changed the PID/VID to a dell keyboard.... boom drivers downloaded and replug and boom there was the website. So I just figured if it can help me as a hobbiest, then it would probably help somebody thats in the field and might need to find a quick vendor ID. I got the format fixed for the ID numbers to plain text vs default where 0100 would show as 100. Now its set to plain text for easier editing.
  22. I started going through that to find certain vendors and products and thought Id make a quick reference guide for most common used Vendors such as Dell or HP depending on the engagement. Might make it easier.
  23. Without them knowing whats wrong or what the problem is they cannot help no matter how mad you get.
  24. the $ <--- represents another line in the terminal, kind of a way to say "hey its a terminal command"
