  1. Depending on the carrier of the phone that option wont be enabled. if you root the phone you can add a line to the build.prop that will allow you to make a hotspot on your phone. Or you can use the Management AP on the pineapple itself to access the pineapple.
  2. even if you dont have data or a plan, you can make a hotspot with the android device and have a 3rd radio (wlan2) for the pineapple that connects to the hotspot. Then you can access the webui with the phone. you will need to power it with a battery. Second option would be to set occupineapple up for start on boot, that way you dont have to worry about connecting it to anything. I will just automatically start broadcasting the ssid from occupineapple after starting up. If you go with option 2 make sure you test it first. Ive set things up for auto start and later turned them off not thinking about it and was shit up a creek when i remembered what i did and had no way to fix it until it got home.
  3. and I misunderstood that last post i thought you were you using the one you originally linked too. Im glad you got it working
  4. @Sebkinne I didnt try to unmount and remount like @Fang_Shadow suggested. I did the "reformat_udisk" and while yes it erased everything, it did fix the problem. Thank you.
  5. If your using the wifi adapter that you post it most likely wont work as it needs a driver. the one I post that looks identical has a supported driver on the pineapple. So this means that the wifi adapter you have is not supported in the firmware and you need a different one. Just because they look the same doesnt mean they use the same chipset.
  6. how are you powering the nano? and did you setup parallel tools installer on kali?
  7. I could not find what wifi chip that usb wifi is using and depending on the chip it might not be supported on the nano which is why you dont see a wlan2. I suggest a RALINK5370 or atheros 92XX series chipset. Those are known to work well with the nano and you can get them in mini form. http://www.amazon.in/RaLink-Receiver-Wireless-Raspberry-installation/dp/B01MS8EURE/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1492264116&sr=1-1&keywords=ralink+rt5370
  8. I have recently switched from linux mint to ubunut gnome 16.04 and when I try to switch payloads on any switch it tells that the directory is read-only. I know there has to be a work around, has anybody else run into this?
  9. If you watch the video before 1.1 was released. @Sebkinne has one without the case on it and has what looks like rpi heatsinks on the processor and mabye something else.
  10. just plug in, go to the browser and go to 172.16.42.1:1471. for ICS just wget http://www.wifipineapple.com/wp6.sh and make executable sudo chmod +x wp6.sh and then run as root.
  11. only for certain devices right now. Straight talk is a little slow coming to that field. The phone will do it but the carrier wont allow me to enable it for this device.
  12. So what you would have to do is make your phone a wifi hotspot and use your gsm data as the internet provider for the nano. youll have to plug your nano into a pc and connect to the Android AP through the webui. After you have connected the nano wlan2 to the android AP then it is saved in the pineapple for wlan2 after reboots. get an app like hotspot manager to see what ip your phone has assigned the nano and connect to that ip. mine was like 192.168.43.48 and dont forget to add the port :1471 for the webui. FYI not all android phones can do wifi tether, im guessing since you can do usbtether then it should, also, configure the AP on your phone through the system settings and not hotspot manager.
  13. So You want to be able to access the nano from a different machine through the management AP and have a 3rd radio aka wlan2 connected to your home network? is that correct?
  14. @Just_a_User that is correct the problem sounds like a power issue that is why I suggested that. Also you didnt specify how you powered it so it was just one idea on getting it work and does it persist with a reboot?
  15. How are you powering the Nano. A lot of problems with the nano lead back to not enough power? If you laptop usb is only putting out 5v1a then you will run into things that wont work because the power is just not enough.
  16. Correct aircrack only takes advantage of the cpu power not gpu power. There was no difference in speed when i got a gtx1050 and tried it.
  17. my i7 3770k quad core with ht got around 7800k/s with no dedicated gpu. CPU only
  18. Or the combo of both together the bunny heat and the laptop heat was enough to do it.
  19. So mine was plugged into a 3 foot usb extension cable because my pc is not very easy to get to. so that might make a difference
  20. what switch was it on @jafahulo
  21. I accidentally left mine plugged in for 8hrs last night and unplugged it this morning and it was warm but not melted by any means.
  22. Depending on the pc you are using, the amount of power from the usb port to the nano might not be enough.
  23. you have to use the twin duck firmware for the rubber duck
