Heh, my everyday work laptop runs Kali natively. I have windows converted to a vm inside that. My laptop has two mini pci wifi cards, the stock broadcom and an atheros clone. I've added a normal non-root user, so I'm not running as root all the time. It works for me, and I know the risks, but it's more convenient than installing stock debian, then compiling whatever I may need.

Okay, just so you know, the pineapple doesn't have a real time clock. It gets time from the internet, so if you're running without an internet connection, time will be wrong.

AFAIK the drone works as an adhoc network all on it's own. I know there have been a few hacks so it will run off a repeater, but I think you'll start to see too much lag after a couple bounces.

You shouldn't be getting an open "version" of your encrypted network unless you've saved an open version of that network on your laptop. Karma doesn't work that way, it doesn't do anything with encrypted networks at all. In fact it doesn't broadcast any network name other than it's own pineapple network.

One thing I just thought of. Hook probably won't be a good idea. The swinging mass will really throw off the quad. I tried hanging an old cell off the bottom of my quad to try to keep the jello effect down. Crashed about 30 seconds after take off. Quad couldn't keep up with the cg change of the swinging phone.
