  1. Weird. I can get a half dozen associations from my office if I leave my pineapple running all day. I sit about 500 feet from a factory and a highway.
  2. It will work, but like you said, you have to know the mac address.
  3. Heh, my everyday work laptop runs Kali natively. I have windows converted to a vm inside that. My laptop has two mini pci wifi cards, the stock broadcom and an atheros clone. I've added a normal non-root user, so I'm not running as root all the time. It works for me, and I know the risks, but it's more convenient than installing stock debian, then compiling whatever I may need.
  4. Okay, just so you know, the pineapple doesn't have a real time clock. It gets time from the internet, so if you're running without an internet connection, time will be wrong.
  5. The device will connect to whoever has the highest power. You can deauth the real network to get connected clients to connect to you.
  6. AFAIK the drone works as an adhoc network all on it's own. I know there have been a few hacks so it will run off a repeater, but I think you'll start to see too much lag after a couple bounces.
  7. Heh, my pfsense box seems overkill now... IntelĀ® Core i5 CPU 750 @ 2.67GHz 4 CPUs: 1 package(s) x 4 core(s)
  8. You shouldn't be getting an open "version" of your encrypted network unless you've saved an open version of that network on your laptop. Karma doesn't work that way, it doesn't do anything with encrypted networks at all. In fact it doesn't broadcast any network name other than it's own pineapple network.
  9. functions.php, and large_tile.php need edited. Aww man! Pineapple Surprise quit working with 1.2! My Nedry roll still works though. Took me a few minutes to realize you moved the thumbnails to a new location.
  10. Heh. This is why they call it the F5 lotto! 650 tickets were released this round. All tickets were held in 9.94 seconds. The wait list filled up 9.34 seconds after that. So in other words we sold out in 19.29 seconds. First reservation was completed 6.96 seconds after registration officially opened. All reservations were complete in 10 minutes and 33 seconds. 650 tickets were released in round 2. All tickets were held in 11.42 seconds. The wait list was filled up 19.45 seconds after that. So in other words we sold out in 30.97 seconds. First reservation was completed 9.87 seconds after registration opened. All tickets were allocated and reservations were complete in 7 minutes and 28.78 seconds. A mere 160 tickets were released in round 3. All tickets were held in 7.95 seconds. The wait list was filled up 1.7 seconds after that. So in other words we sold out in 9.65 seconds. First reservation was completed 9.62 seconds after registration opened. All tickets were allocated and reservations were complete in 6 minutes and 48 seconds Stats for the year: All tickets were held in 29.31 seconds. The wait list was filled up 30.49 seconds after that. So in other words, we sold out in 59.8 seconds < - This is the big one. All reservations were completed in 24 minutes and 50 seconds.
  11. One thing I just thought of. Hook probably won't be a good idea. The swinging mass will really throw off the quad. I tried hanging an old cell off the bottom of my quad to try to keep the jello effect down. Crashed about 30 seconds after take off. Quad couldn't keep up with the cg change of the swinging phone. Something to consider would be a magnet with a servo attached to it. Give the servo a long arm so it can tilt the magnet off the package. Whole assembly goes into a plastic container under the drone. Man I love having a pen on my phone....
  12. An electromagnet strong enough to lift a pineapple and its battery would need its own battery heavier than the quad could lift. A hook would be the simplest method, just a bitch to capture later.
  13. Uhh, you'll catch something on fire before that happens.
  14. The mode button is what you're looking for. AM, WFM, will give you radio stations.
  15. Then it doesn't matter. Also dd-wrt doesn't have that backdoor.
  16. Spotify requires 78.31.8.0/21 to be open in your firewall, for port 4070. Easy enough to break.... :D
  17. My wife bought me a screaming pineapple for christmas!
  18. I used to keep photo lithium AAs in my mini-mag flashlight when I was a crew chief in Alaska. They were the only batteries that would continue to work during the winter.
  19. Sure, but what about structures on the roof? Also hooking something with a quadcopter can be ungodly difficult.
