  1. I've not been able to get dnsspoof to forward to another site, just to the internal server. Not sure what's the issue.
  2. I ran mine off the original pineapple juice pack for about 4 hours before the power got too low for it to run. Not too shabby.
  3. I don't think you can. Pretty sure it doesn't have usb cdrom support baked into the kernel. What you can do, however is pull the drive out and put in a desktop, install, then put it back.
  4. Nope, I've been having issues with dnsspoof on the mark 5 since I got it. Was pleasantly surprised this worked. I still can't redirect to an external ip address though. SSH in and check the conf file with vi or nano. It seems that any edits from the gui add character returns to the lines.
  5. Amps aren't really needed except for rare long distance cases. They amplify the garbage as well, and don't really do anything for receive sensitivity. You can also get yourself in trouble with one and the right antenna. As an example, the above amp with a 18dbi yagi will put you quite a way over the US maximum eirp for directional wifi.
  6. Darren tweeted this the other day, thought I'd post it up here since not everyone follows him on twitter(though you really should). https://github.com/troyhunt/PineappleSurprise I got it working on my pineapple, but can't quite figure out the logging. It keeps dumping the logs into the www folder, no matter what I put in the index.php file. Troy's page on it here. http://www.troyhunt.com/2013/04/the-beginners-guide-to-breaking-website.html Got logging to work. $logFileName = "/sd/logs/myrandomname.log";
  7. Only one will show up I believe. The other is part of the soc, which isn't on the usb bus.
  8. Kismet needs updated! The version in the repo is an older version that has issues hopping mac80211 drivered devices. Dragorn says the latest version should fix that. Other than that, kismet works pretty well on the pineapple.
  9. Actually, that's the correct meaning of the term "bricking". The only good use of the device now is to use it as a brick.
  10. Weird. At the moment I have everything forwarding to bing, cause I'm evil like that and it's still not working. Checked the file with nano and it's good, no ^M's anywhere. Even reset to stock again, just to be sure, still no joy. Seb's flying home, so I'm sure he'll check up on it once he gets back to normal.
  11. Now we just need to figure out why dnsspoof isn't working....
  12. Hey, you asked. I used heat shrink. Works just fine, and it's been riding in my everyday carry backpack for months with no issue. I cut out a piece so I could still see the lights too. If you know someone with a 3d printer buy them some beer to make you an enclosure.

    Get Wifi

Unless you know what the hell you're doing, which you obviously don't, you're not going to get this kind of link working. You're going to need two high power directional antennas, with a clear line of sight, which oddly enough doesn't mean just because you can see the other end means it will work. http://ruralwi-fi.com/2011/01/point-to-point-links/ I've helped set up several long distance(14 miles) point to point connections. All were mounted on rooftops, or towers, or towers that were on rooftops. They all had 3 foot or larger dish antennas. Now, if you really want to try this, ubiquity has some pretty nice point to point radios that I've used in the past 3 or 4 months for point to point. Nothing this long though, but they should be able to do it. They also have the ability to adjust the transmit power, put your location's power limit into them! Nothing like getting a knock on the door by your local regulatory guys about out of spec wireless gear to ruin your day.
  14. I've always been happy with www.fab-corp.com. They've even overnighted me parts on a goofed order to Alaska, and it was actually overnight. Well crap. Looks like they don't have much in the way of sma connected stuff.
  15. I've never seen wifi adapters at radio shack. Unless it's the online store.
  16. Wasn't someone looking into making a usb hacksaw that did something like this?
  17. Hey dude, can you post up the origional index.php? I thought I made a backup, but didn't.
  18. Yep! That's what it's doing. Now I just have to figure out what all configs it touches to remove the ^M's.
  19. Heeey! The factory reset dip switches are pretty slick! Still not working though...
  20. Well crap. I fired up the mk4 and it's pushing the same dns settings, and working....
