  1. Hit up your device manager to see which com port to use. In putty set the serial settings to match the port, 115200 8 1 no parity no flow control.
  2. You're off a little. Zanti was around before dsploit. They hired dsploit's Dev last year.
  3. I've not tried it with the mk5 yet, but on the mk4 you aren't supposed to use the power lines at all. It powers itself, and using them could break things.
  4. Heh, these were slow. Compact flash rotating disk hard drives! The white one on it's back is a whopping 340Mb, the other is 4Gb. That's as big as they ever got. Wifi Pineapple microsd card for scale. Pulled the 4giger out of a linux pda and exchanged it with a 16Gb flash based cf card. Huge difference!
  5. A FPGA cluster was used to create the original church of WiFi WPA rainbow tables. Pretty sure pyrit and hashcat can use them.
  6. A lot of the HP blade servers let you specify theac address in bios. Can only think of a couple reasons you'd really need to do this. Not sure you can do it on the fly with a switch though.
  7. Judging from my server logs, there are hundreds of these kinds of scripts out there...
  8. Depends on the chipset. You'll also need a driver app to get it to work, since android(assumption here) doesn't have the built in ability to configure wired ethernet. There are a couple apps in the app store, they should say which adapter works with them.
  9. Gotcha. I've got a few of those kicking around in a box somewhere. I used them in my Janus box build years ago. Looked kinda like this. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/50cm-PC-Computer-DIY-HOST-Case-Motherboard-10Pin-USB-Female-to-Dual-Layer-USB2-0-A/1881210632.html
  10. Oh, so like this. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Shipping-20cm-Dupon-USB-2-0-A-male-to-9pin-Female-header-Motherboard-extension-Cable/32233387710.html Or this. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/PC-Desktop-Computer-DIY-Motherboard-Mainboard-Inner-USB-9Pin-Female-to-A-Female-Data-SHORT-Cable/1870972934.html That's how I have my vmware esxi server running. Boots off a 2Gb usb thumb drive attached to a header on the board.
  11. I've done all my firmware updates in client mode since it was available. Make sure your wifi password doesn't have any spaces or funky characters in it. It's usually spaces that screw it up, my password has uppers numbers and special characters and it stays connected.
  12. Pretty sure they use Dell, and Windows 7. Kali has a pretty cool patch to lukscrypt. They have a luksnuke addition that if the nuke password is used, it wipes the keyfiles from the drive. Even if you use the proper password after that it still can't decrypt the drive. That's how I have my laptops set up.

  14. You're not going to use them for data are you? Don't think that will work. If you're going to use it for power, that might work, but solder them!!

No, but the ubertooth can sniff anything in the 2.4ghz range. I use mine as a wifi spectrum analyzer. It's about the only useful thing I've found I can do with it.
  16. New work fail. Found in the ceiling above the patch panel. I guess they ran out of cable or something, and needed another 6 feet. They did a horrible job with the patch panel, so I moved it up the wall and found I had enough slack to repatch all the cables properly. They had all the cables running through the wall to the patch panel, looks like they made the hole in the metal stud with a hammer. Nicked the outer cover in a few places, but all the cables certify out cat5e or better, so I'm not going to repull anything. They have the bundles taped together throughout the building, so I couldn't even use the old bad cable as a pull string.
  17. I personally use pfsense on a pc for a router, but for some clients that want to see something other than "just a pc" I usually recommend this.
  18. Sounds like it's running a deep freeze like program, or it's netbooting an image.
  19. An addition to digip's comment, UEFI is the new bios. That's why you can't remove it.
  20. If you can find them the Jeff Duntemann drive by WiFi guides are pretty good. Kinda old now, but are pretty good for the basics.
  21. They can pull air in from the inside end if the top is covered. I know a couple guys that have a few servers full of these cards for cracking hashes.
