  1. We do not support any other devices - sorry! If you are not able to afford a Pineapple, look at the ap121u - that is the Pineapple hardware.
  2. Yeah, as long as it is a powered hub that'll work just fine! Best Regards, Sebkinne
  3. Yeah. I understand you. But without costly equipment this is not possible or rather not needed. You will probably able to contact Alfa and get some kernel and rootfs files to flash back.. but I cannot guarantee that. That's their thing.
  4. Without an spi flasher / reader it's basically impossible. You could back up the individual mtd partitions but lots has gone wrong with that in the past - I wouldn't trust it. If you already have a serial device, flashing openWRT is a trivial process.
  5. Not really. It just means you have to set up swap, something you should really have set up already when using USB storage and following Darren's guide. There isn't really a way around it in this scenario.
  6. All devices undergo a flashing and therefore checking procedure before shipping out. It is possible that something breaks in the packaging, shipping or other processes. Contact the hakshop and they will help you.
  7. Depends on what mobile you have. Doesn't look amazing but works well on a Nexus 4 / SGS3 / Galaxy Note. But yes, 3.0 Will be very different. There are no overlapping issues. We haven't reached the final state of the UI just yet in terms of mobile, but already it is an improvement.
  8. From what other have said, I would like to add that you ordered the gear before we knew about this properly. At least this is my assumption if you received it today.
  9. If it is asking for a username / password, you either didn't press 1, you have your serial wires crossed or you have flowcontrol turned on. The pineapple hasn't realized you pressed 1 and boots the normal system up.
  10. Yes there is, either you contact the shop or report these issues using the bug reporter on our pineapple website.
  11. Sure! Read this for more information. The Networkmanager infusion does work though, and if you are new to linux networking, I suggest you go that route.
  12. Yes, that is the correct card. For routing, try the Networkmanager Infusion. I don't know what you mean about the Karma attack. What autoconnection are you talking about? On the clients? The answer is not really. I am assuming you mean the AWUS036nha? It is better to do it the other way around - use that card to supply internet to the pineapple and keep using the internal card for Karma / Jasager. The best way to do this is download the Networkmanager infusion and use that to set everything up! Please don't make multiple threads on the same subject. I have merged the two. Best Regards, Sebkinne
  13. Could you re-flash 2.8.1? We use a different package repository than OpenWRT for some versions, so that won't always help. Either way, seeing this error is because the pineapple tries to make a connection out but fails / times out. It seems that you cannot reach wifipineapple.com Try running a wget on http://wifipineapple.com/ip.php If that works and gives you a file with your IP, good, if not, alright. Then, try the same for http://google.com if that works but the above doesn't, it would seem somehow the connection is not allowing our host. Please report back with your findings! Best Regards, Sebkinne
  14. I am guessing it is in hex. Try a hex to ascii converter.
  15. Let me also chime in - Anyone that has this issue, could you report your current firmware version? While I doubt it is firmware related, we want to make sure to cover all angles here. Best Regards, Sebkinne
  16. Karma can log probing MAC addresses. You could then run all collected MAC addresses through a filter and see which ones are actually iPhones (check the oui). I think that is what you are asking.
  17. The answer is yes, the Pineapple can connect to the internet over wifi. To be able to use Karma or the wifi card for other things, you will require a USB wifi card (see the hakshop for some Alfas). Using that, you can make it connect to WiFi, and keep using the internal card for Karma etc. Best Regards, Sebkinne
  18. We don't have / supply alfa's one. We only have stock OpenWRT. Either way, you cannot flash them without serial as long as you are coming from the other. If you have alfa's installed on your device, you need serial to install OpenWRT and from there you can install our Pineapple firmware. If you have OpenWRT installed, as we don't have an image, there is currently no way to restore it. Unless you dd the mtd partitions somehow to make a backup.
  19. Hi Soroush, Yes, this is a bit of an issue currently. The upcoming 3.0.0 release will be entirely different compared to the current web-interface. Best Regards, Sebkinne
  20. Put this instead: ifconfig wlan0 down macchanger -r wlan0 wifi That will not only bring up the wifi interface but also start hostapd again. Best Regards, Sebkinne
  21. Just use the normal terminal?
  22. Yeah, the pineapple is pretty good with just unplugging it. Issuing a halt before COULD be a good thing but it wont fully shutdown unless the power is cut. Saying that, personally I always just kill the power.
