  1. It's to do with how encryption is reported. I am going to write up a small script or command that'll collect the information we need to debug this. Sit tight.
  2. I'll write up a more detailed response soon, we are traveling to toorcon right now. Client mode works, but it seems there is a bug somewhere with certain access points. The red LED only turns on when connected to another network. Bootloops after reset: check your dip switches.
  3. That going back and forth isn't the actual item. That's the customs people talking back and forth.
  4. Please see our website and our shipping policy. It shows you the options for having it shipped to an alternate address.
  5. Execute the command "wifi" over SSH. Tell us the output of that.
  6. We answered this question a few times on here and especially on our live stream. The answer is yes! But of course not everything can be back-ported and it may take longer than development for the MK5. Though it doesn't mean we don't still do MK4 work.
  7. There is a webui for this. Use the network tile - > client mode
  8. I don't know off the bat. We actually just demonstrated it live on a wpa2 personal access point!
  9. As it's a hangout on air, it'll be on YouTube.
  10. That seems wrong. We'll fix it ASAP. Should be about half of that.
  11. It will be hangouts on air as far as I know!
  12. Using the built in USB tethering app works great on the S4!
  13. You know, this is something we will touch on in our live-stream. Stay tuned!
  14. Hey everyone, We just wanted to announce today's live hangout. We will be discussing a few things in regards to the MKV so be sure to tune in! The stream / hangout is scheduled for 15:00 GMT-8 (23:00 UK time). This thread will be updated with a link to the hangout and youtube stream once everything is set up! Looking forward to seeing you there! Sebkinne Live Stream: And the Hangout: https://plus.google.com/hangouts/_/b163362ab34965ca9078e74093b02db3109773f9?authuser=0&hl=en
  15. That's not how you re-flash the device. This only works when using the stager. I am currently writing up instructions on how to perform a clean flash WITHOUT serial using the new MK5 features. Check out http://wifipineapple.com/?flashing in an hour or so. Crepsidro, that comment isn't really appropriate. This seems to be an issue, yes. Has it been reported for more than one device? No. I wouldn't call it a blatant Day1 bug at all. Without proper information it is hard to debug what happened. Thankfully, these issues are easy and quick to fix.
  16. You won't be able to re-create the MKV. You can do so with the MKIV though.
  17. Faster to process, gives the user time to get to know the system and read through the booklet, always the latest stable firmware, etc. If we notice a bug, we can quickly swap out all SD cards and do not have to re-flash them all. Another example is pre-installing infusions on the SD, updating system infuisions as they come out - even if there is no new sysupgrade available. Best Regards, Sebkinne
  18. It sure does. It worked on the MK IV just fine too, if you knew how to set it up. But for now, you can install if via "opkg update && opkg install reaver" Best Regards, Sebkinne
  19. When the time is right. But no, we will discuss more details on Wednesday.
  20. The red light will only turn on if it is connected to another AP or otherwise in that type of use.
  21. Thank you, it is always nice to hear kind words!
  22. I am quite intrigued by this. How did you have it working as a generic AP? Did you have access to it at some point? Those lights that you see mean that it is ready to be talked to over ethernet. If that doesn't work though, I suggest you try connecting to it's WiFi AP and trying again from there. This is very odd behavior. Fixable though. Let's figure out what went wrong first. Thankfully the device is practically unbrickable. I am writing up instructions for our website on how to fix it now. Best, Sebkinne
