  1. Hi! We've just pushed Beta 1 for 1.0.2 to the WiFi Pineapple BETA Channel. This update features some small bug fixes and UX improvements since 1.0.1. If you'd like to try the upcoming release, updating is easily done by following the above guide. Change Log: Recon Fixed an issue where the dBi column would not sort. Show a message if all table columns are disabled. Fixed an issue where results would not update when navigating back to a running scan. Campaigns Added the functionality to delete campaign reports. Misc
  2. Hi, I've just received the WiFi Pineapple Nano and everything seemed to work well until I had to connect to 172.16.42.1:1471 to set it up. I am using Windows 7 and my browser (Google Chrome) said that the site can't be reached and that the IP refused to connect. I did look on other forums but all I've seen was uncheck your internet sharing (was already done) and to reset it which didn't change anything. So I would really like some help to get this set up and finally upgrade my pentesting arsenal, thanks.
  3. This is my first post for absolutely ages to the Hak5 community, and was prompted after I discovered an issue whilst following the various set up guides within the community, and having read some really negative and unfounded comments from others having a go at Hak5 for set up issues. [disclaimer] From the very start, let me say that the issues were caused by my Virtual Server hosts here in the UK (Fasthosts) and by there system built in Firewall policy. Kudos goes to Hak5 Darren for pointing me in the right direction as I thought I was losing the plot. With hindsight, I should h
  4. Hello! We're happy to announce the release of 1.0.1 for the WiFi Pineapple Mark VII. Based on your invaluable feedback (especially the Beta channel testers, thank you!) - numerous improvements to PineAP, Recon, Settings and more have been made. Be sure to check out the changes below and grab the new release by giving your WiFi Pineapple Mark VII an internet connection and going to "Settings > Check for Updates". Changelog: Setup Improve screen real-estate on smaller mobile screens. Button delay now says 4 seconds, to match the recovery wizard.
  5. Hi! We're pleased to announce a new release for the WiFi Pineapple TETRA: 2.7.0. Kernel has been updated from 4.14.133 to 4.14.171. Fixed an issue where OpenVPN would cause a kernel panic upon establishing tunnel. Recon Fixed an issue where live scans would fail on the WiFi Pineapple TET

  7. Hello, I have a question regarding mounting the SD on the Nano. I don't see an fstab file on the Nano and where is the "Save Fstab" file in the web interface saving the fstab file? Here is what I've done. Nano is powered off, I put in an SD card into the Nano and powered up the Nano. SSH as root into the Nano after power up complete. Run df command, the SD card is not mounted. Issuing mount -a does not mount it. I cd to /etc/ to find the fstab file is a link to /tmp/fstab. The /tmp/fstab file does not exist. I then decided to power up the Nano first and then plug in the SD card. Af
  8. Please post general comments here so we can have one place to answer the common questions.
  9. What can be other use of Pineapple in daily life (w/ Pineapple firmware!), not just for pen testing. My initial setup also has Alfa awus036nha. Can it be used as Wifi signal booster; connects to wifi with awus036nha and you can connect to internet through AP121U LAN; other (name them). I presume, if you don't have stock firmware, which came with AP121U then you are stuck with Pineapple for life?
  10. I'm on firmware 2.7.0 I'm not sure why the the SD card keep getting corrupted. I have an 8 GB Micro SD formated via GUI. Should I use a bigger card like 64 GB or 128 GB ? Is there a specific format that I should format the card to prevent is corruption in the future ?
  11. I have a new install of Cloud C2 and a WiFi Pineapple. I've just been tweaking the configuration, etc. when I noticed that the Pineapple shows offline in the C2 server after about 15 minutes (the exact time varies, sometimes it can be longer). Each time it happens, all indications is that the Pineapple is continuing to function fine. I can log it via web or SSH, stop and start PineAP, make configuration changes, etc. The Pineapple can ping the C2 server by name. If I reboot the Pineapple it reconnects to the C2 server, but that's the only way I can figure out to get it to reconnect. Obvi

Anyone have experience hooking up a wifi pineapple to a macbook pro, can it be done, and how so?

  15. Hi, When I want to execute hostapd-wpe on Wifi Pineapple I don't have problems, but when someone connects to the AP, it appears the following error: Using interface wlan1 with hwaddr 00:13:37:a7:11:80 and ssid "AcrylicWiFi-bgn" wlan1: interface state UNINITIALIZED->ENABLED wlan1: AP-ENABLED wlan1: STA 10:b1:f8:ae:c0:4b IEEE 802.11: authenticated wlan1: STA 10:b1:f8:ae:c0:4b IEEE 802.11: associated (aid 1) wlan1: CTRL-EVENT-EAP-STARTED 10:b1:f8:ae:c0:4b wlan1: CTRL-EVENT-EAP-PROPOSED-METHOD vendor=0 method=1 wlan1: CTRL-EVENT-EAP-PROPOSED-METHOD vendor=0 method=25 SSL: TLS processin
  16. Kismet - Pineapple Edition - With WEB-UI I just saw the video uploaded by Hak5 to youtube the other day, where they used an array of Tetra's running Kismet to scan ALL channels at all times. After that, i just had to get it working! Today i finally managed to compile the latest source-files for kismet, which also has a working web interface. I've tested it all day on my Tetra, but it should be working on the Nano as well. It might complain about the version of libmicrohttpd , so i recommend to also download the version of libmicrohttpd on my repo. (links to ipk's below) Al
  17. I just currently purchased the Hak5 Essentials Kit and currently setting up the pineapple nano. I have connected to wifi and able to see the modules available, but when I download one a prompt says, This module is developed by sebkinne, a third-party developer. Generally, module support can be found at forums.hak5.org. You do not have enough free space to install this module. Please insert an SD card and ensure that it is formatted correctly. I tried to reformat to ext /fat in disk utility, as I'm on a macpro. I am also running Virtual box with Backtrack5 and tr
  18. Hello everyone, I've been playing around with a freshly acquired Wifi Pineapple Tetra. I upgraded, did a few factory resets and frimware reset too I there a two problems that need to be fixed. The first one apparead with the firmware upgrade from 2.4.something to the latest 2.6.2. : The live scan results don't print. We need to do a scan, stop it and load the scan file to output the results. I have seen this issue a few times on the forums but no admin/dev here made any answer or fix. WE NEED TO FIX THIS. This feature is important for the field pentesting. The second one is linked to w
  19. I'm trying to decide between the Tetra Basic and Tactical. Is the difference simply the backpack/ shoulder bag? Also, what all is included in the box? Thanks.
  20. Tmux - Compiled for the WiFi Pineapples I'am posting this to the forums after a request from @kbeflo. He meant other people also would be interested in using this. Tmux is a "terminal multiplexer", allowing the user to switch between different programs in one terminal. I will not be providing extensive support for this. If you're curios about how it's working, try googling it. ? EDIT: 17.May-2018: Finally, working! [Download]
  21. Hi everyone, I bought a wifi pineapple about a couple of years ago. I've been searching for a battering thin enough to fit the case and be plugged using the U shaped usb connector. I know about the anker and pineapple juince models.. however, I can't find them online (shipping to belgium). Has anyone else found another battery that fits?? Thanks a lot!
  22. I have recently bought the pineapplw wifi tetra one, I'm trying to understand if somebody could list all the offensive use cases we can do with it ? thanks

    UK RETAIL

Hi, Would anyone at HAK5 consider working with a UK retailer?
  25. I have been assigned a task of combining 2 wifi signals into a tablet. One signal would come from a Iridium Go! satellite hotspot that puts out 2.4ghz wifi and the other a dynon adsb (which is like a radar acquisition unit for small planes). This would go to 1 program (ifly) . Would the wifi pineapple tetra do this? I'm sorry for the long winded explanation, but I needed to explain how it would work. I should mention they both work on 2.4 Ghz band. The sat hotspot would receive weather and the dynon unit would receive ads-b. I know the type of data isn't important, more fyi. Thanks for any he
