  1. That's a paintball mask, gun and equpiment if you couldn't tell.
  2. Eh, mowing the lawn isn't that bad. I cut 3 to 4 lawns a week for cash on the side. 20 bucks a lawn X 4 lawns = money to fill my xploder plus a case or two of beer easily.
  3. Songs been changed. It was freebird when I tried it.

Nate - I'd highly suggest Falcon Northwest. They have the all around best machines out there and for the right price. Alienware sells great computers too but you can get the same machine from FNW for a bit cheaper. Also, it will look a ton better. Unless you're into the whole sci-fi thing. For specs I'd suggest anything dual core (AMD is by far the best), 100+gb hdd, 1+gb of ram and widescreen. If you're planning on doing some hard-core gaming, look into 2+gb or ram and the fasted hdd possible (7200 is the fastest that I know of for laptops) and get an external hdd for your massive storage needs. This should be running you around 3 grand (US) depending on who you buy it from. Happy hunting and please let us know what you find.
  5. You're right in that regard. I just hope TPB is back up soon and from the looks of their site, and other's, they're fighting back and making progress.
  6. This is the mpaa we're talking about. The US government is packed tightly enough with lobbyists that anything is possible and deemed legal with the right amount of money and pressure. Rarly does anyone in congress or any another other branch/division get caught - Aside from the few senators and representatives who are on trial for such activity at the moment. I was somewhat correct in my previous post, the mpaa did have a hand in Pirate Bay's demise: http://www.mpaa.org/press_releases/2006_05_31.pdf
  7. I'm willing to bet that the riaa and mpaa had something to do with this. They probably promised the Swedish government a few hundred thousand dollars (money they made from sueing poor college kids and the oblivious elderly) if they would raid the place.
  8. Ethereal will show their ip address.

At your price range, you could build your own machine that would be far more powerful than any alienware box at that same price. My suggestion would be to look around at what processor you find suitable, mobo, graphics card, etc and build your own. For 2000 you could have one hell of a box and that's the route I would take. As for boot camp, it's already out (check out apple's site to learn more) and there are cases in which the core duos are out performing pcs of similar attributes (I believe Tom's Hardware performed that test). Anyway, you must have an intel based mac for boot camp to work and if your a fan boy of mac, you could spend your 2000-2500 on a macbook pro or intel core g5 and boot xp, thus giving you a cool-looking, expensive gaming machine.
  10. A very good friend of mine had joined the Army (USA) just last fall. Boot camp was no problem for him but once on base down in Texas, he had run into a few problems with his officers. In light of his small mistake, he ended driving his S-10 pick-up into a highway overpass at 90 mph without his seatbelt on. He lived and is doing great now (no lifetime injuries) but the mental hell they put him through for one simple mistake was ridiculous at that. I would never join the military unless forced - then a position in intel would be appropriate. As for which makes the more money, I would suggest contracting work. Slightly safer as long as your in the correct parts of the countries you work in. Offtopic slightly: My father was a Lieutenant (police) and when the Iraq conflict turned worse without saddam hussein in power, he was offered upwards of $200,000 a year as a head security administrator out in Iraq. But, there in lies the risk of being shot which is why being close to the battle in not the way to go – and which is why we flat out told him to forget it. The money is there but is putting your life on the line worth it?
  11. I used ubuntu for a while - very easy to install, set-up and use. The only reason why I left it was because I looking for something a bit more indepth, not an os designed for windows users who planned to make the switch. (That's what I got out of it anyway, others may disagree). Also, because you said that you didn't like Fedora Core 5 kinda scared me for a sec because thats the distro I'm going to install on my box tommorrow sometime. Was it just too much for you at first or was it not friendly with your hardware? Just curious.
  12. I take it you're a college student as well yes?
  13. I havn't graduated college yet... Nor have I.
  14. Darren - Nice pictures on your flickr account, you're quite the photographer.
  15. The south-east of a city in every city? Do all the dangerous types congregate there in every city for some reason? Is it like moss and the north side of a tree? No, only the major cities like NY, Miami, Los Angeles, etc. And yes, for some odd reason the SE side of these cities almost always turns to shit, don't know why.
  16. My god, you're over a 1000 posts. That's probably more than double the next closest person. Your Hak ++ should change to uberforumfan or something weird like that.
  17. Is there any particular reason why you feel the need to carry a gun in America? It isn't that bad as long as you stay away from the SE side of any major city and even if you do go there, just don't stop at any red lights and you're alright.
  18. That they do, I saw an apple II at one the other day but it had sold by the time I came back with cash. Old Apple equipment is worth picking up if its cheap as you can sell it on eBay as lots of Apple users eat that shit up. That's what I wanted to do but some guy got to it before I could.
  19. If the laptop has a cd-drive then you can load a LIVEcd of linux and use that for whatever you want to do. My suggestion would be Knoppix-std but here's a link where you can find many more and decide which one would work best for you: http://www.darknet.org.uk/2006/03/10-best-...nsics-recovery/

  22. Start selling your plasma, sperm and blood. Doing that will yield about $80 a week. Therefore, it would only take about 20 weeks to raise $3,000 if both of you two take part in donating.
  23. I dont even fucking care anymore. Agreed. If I can take down a few 'Gibsons' (haha, shitty movie though) before they bust through my door, I'm glad to go to jail. If everyone can see what I'm trying to do and follow suit, there arn't enough jail cells to hold all of us. Change must take place, and my apprehension will be just the beginning.
