  1. Drink 2 full glasses of water and go back to bed.
  2. I hate to burst your bubble but it will probably not run on your acer. I have an acire aspire and the video card in it is absolute shit. Unless you have a built in Nvidia card, and know how to install the right drivers on your linux system you wont get beryl up and running.
  3. Well here it is. Ive been thinking long enough about doing it. Tonight I finally did it. Ubuntu with Beryl.
  4. Any one of these works for me. It is coming up on june and those of us in the United States need to start buying Plane Tickets. Also for those of you flying over from the US, what are your plans? I assume that you are going to be staying longer than 3 days right?
  5. I am in as well. Second weekend works for me. I believe I will be flying over with DarkSenay.
  6. Metatron Ive been looking for that wallpaper forever. Where did you find it, or is it of your own creation?
  7. FreeBSD
  8. im trying it now. doesnt seem too bad.
  9. I got an archos 404 mp3/pvp player. Very cool, and works cross platform perfectly. Lots of cooking stuff for our new apartment, including a heavy duty wok. Some cash, and gift cards for music from napster.com, and of course love, cheer and good food. The best gift of christmas was seeing the smiles on everyones faces.
  10. I once had a job busing tables at a steak house for 4 dollars an hour. The only thing I could afford to feed myself for 6 months was ramen noodles and pork and beans.
  11. There is more to a good relationship than just sex as well.
  12. I hear ya Darren. My cynicism comes from people more or less. I work in sales, and want to shoot myself every time I walk out of there. I talk to so many people each day that have no appreciation for technology, and some even act like its more of a hindrance. I cringe every time someone buys a 1500 dolar laptop, and 2 days later call me back because it wont turn on. I then find out it isnt plugged in, and their battery is deader n a doornail. Yea it is the people. I can only stand to hear someone refer to a usb port as a ubs port, or a gigabyte as a jiggabyte so many times before I start to lose faith in the industry. Many large tech corporations are now solely driven by monetary gain. They could care less if they come up with something new and exciting. With the exception of apple maybe. They seem to be innovative. Take laptops for example. The laptops we sell are all top of the line, but they run slow because of all the shit that comes packed into them. What happened to choices. What happened to being able to choose what you wanted installed on your system, rather than a manufacturer choosing for you?
  13. better yet try it, film it, and then put it in the fridge to see if it turns back into cookie dough ice cream. Either that or pour it down your pants.
  14. The comment on Gentoo was priceless. I absolutely loathe rpm's though, so ubuntu gets my vote. FreeBSD gets my vote as well.
