cykio
Nothing too interesting this month have been on laptop all last month EDIT: Was about to say everyone has very nice wallpapers (expected as we all spend too much on time on our comps) but then CraigHB went and ruined it :P One funny thing I noted is usually my desktop is clear and i love keep files organised properly but can't apply the same to my real life room is always so messy!! Anyone the same way?
CraigHB
Here's mine, pretty unnoteworthy except for how barren it is. If it wasn't for my wife, my house would look the same way, hehe.

VickiWong
Not my desktop but I have pretty much the exact same setup. Did this to confuse a friend, and to prove it was do-able. I'm running gnome I know it's an abomination, I'll get a decent desktop sorted within the next week.

pritchard9
dr0p, how'd you manage the transparent urxvt terminal? I had a method, involving multiple scripts and trannset, but it stopped working after I started using urxvt as a daemon.

pritchard9
Thanks for the link. But it's not working for me. I've put the "urxvt*inheritPixmap" as true, aswell as tweaking the fading and tint values. But instead of being transparent, it just shows my desktop background. Like, for instance, if I open a terminal above firefox, the terminal wouldnt show firefox, but would show part of my wallpaper. Is this the norm, or an incompatibility issue with feh setting the background and the transparency setting in ~/.Xdeaults? Sorry for diverting the thread topic. dr0p
URxvt*shading: 40 That is what determines my transparency level with 0 being opaque and 100 being fully transparent.
pritchard9
Hmm. I had that.. It's like, a "transparent" terminal, when above another window like firefox, doesnt show firefox underneath it. Instead, it shows my desktop. Its like showing me whats behind firefox, instead of firefox.

ssmithisme
I thought I would open that picture there because my desktop is rather plain. Dont ask about the icons, I put them up there to get them out of the way and I clean them up when I need one.
