  1. If by "we" you mean you, then I have to agree.
  2. You could always change his wallpaper to an image of you fucking his best friend, but thats just the way that I roll.
  3. I started mine so that I could get crap out of my head. I needed to have an outlet for my frustrations because I was headed for a heart attack. My blood pressure was out of control. Now when I have something that pisses me off I go to my blog and just vomit the words out of my head. I used to think that no one read it at all, I put a counter up and seems that a few people are, nothing of significance but I guess it's something. I don't think that anyone really cares what I write about, thats not why I started doing it. I now tend to talk about tech things that interest or anger me, when I first started I was all over the map.
  4. Is the machine that you are running the firewall on also your router? You will need to put your routes and then make sure that the system your running mail on sits in front of the firewall, like Stinwray said. I haven't had the pleasure of running a mail server yet but I think that rather than placing the entire box in a DMZ you can just route that traffic through the firewall, on the second IP, to your server. There really are a lot of different ways to set it up, just depends on your needs and wants. I'd love to hear how it works out for you and how you end up setting it up, keep us posted.
  5. If you want two public facing IPs your going to have to get your ISP to give them to you, and they are going to want more money from you. You may be better off doing port forwarding to your e-mail server as well. Do you know if the IP you have now is static? If you want to run an e-mail/web server you will probably want a static IP, unless you want to mess with something like DynDNS.
  6. I used to have an old Soundblaster AWE 32 that was a monster, looked a lot like the card you have there.
  7. It's the little things that make life so grand, this was funny.
  8. I don't think that the SP has the ability to be a touch screen. I don't have much information but I have heard that Windows Vista has some fancy schmancy second screen application (different from a dual monitor setup). I have seen a laptop that uses this to show e-mail stats and things like that. I seem to recall a place that used a PDA attached to a laptop and used a program very similar to the Vista thing. I bet that could do what you want.
  9. fuck it ill use winbatch then you will really hate me Ummm what? Guess I lost track of the conversation, I think Irongeek is great guy, judging from the very, very limited conversations that I have had with him. I was just pointing out that the post (on Binrev) was the real Irongeek and he said himself that he wasn't great at programing C. I wasn't taking a shot at him, I can't even program VB anymore so I have NO room to talk, I thought Cooper might like to know he said that as a way of responding to his critique of the code. I haven't had coffee this morning, so if I'm reading to much into this forgive me.
  10. Does the machine that you are having issues with have any mapped drives that reconnect on logon? I have had an issue with that for certain users on my network at work. I had to go into disk management to assign another drive letter the the USB device because Windows was trying to double up devices on a single drive letter.
  11. The most unfortunate and scary part, is I am sure that there are people who would drop the coin to get it. I can't imagine what the support calls would like. I guess I should reserve judgment until someone I know and trust reviews it, needless to say; I am skeptical.
  12. That is the real Irongeek and he admits himself "Please be forgiving, I’m a sucky C coder." in the first post.
  13. I never understood how someone can find pleasure in destroying someone else work... It all boils down to having a small dick. Anyhow, I'll be with following Mini-Me around with some friends.
  14. Exactly how old do you think I am? :D
  15. I'd be willing to bet that if you knocked the shit out of the next guy to turn off your box, others will think twice. If not, make the next one and example. They will either get the hint or get hurt. Hulk management tip #10234. I do have to admit that I would love to see some choad get a nice jolt of electricity for being an asshat.
  16. Thank you for my new favorite word to describe people.
  17. It's not about if your are paranoid, but if you are paranoid ENOUGH.
  18. Just curious, anyone here have any experiance with Spinrite? I have considered buying it to have on hand at work.
  19. I have marshmalllows, someone get the hot dogs!
  20. Well, it may not be exactly what you have in mind but PBS did a special call Triumph of the Nerds (skip 2.0, I didn't think it was that great) that tells the story of the Homebrew Computer Club, Apple, Microsoft, et all. It was a pretty good documentary.
  21. I have never had any chocolate chips in mine, but we have had the normal (if you can really say that about a pancake on a stick) version. They are not too bad for a quick fat/sugar filled breakfast, yummy! My wife and I used to get them from Sonic on occasion. They are just like a corn dog, 'cept it's a sausage and a pancake. Now I'm hungry, thanks fuckers. :)
  22. newegg is greatness. You may also want to take a look at pricewatch.com. I haven't used it in a while so it may not be as great as it once was, worth a look though.

    Please Vako, don't hurt him.............much.
  24. If you have it just the way you want it right now, get an image. You can use Ghost, or DriveImage XML. I made a BartsPE disk with the DriveImage XML modual and make/restore images of PCs at home and at work. It's a nice little program and best of all, it is free.
