I think you could manually edit the wireless config with the correct credentials. Although I'm not sure exactly as to how the network manager is configured on the NANO if it would work as desired.

Can you verify what firmware version that is installed? You can check under the "Advanced" option of the Dashboard.

Have you tested that tethering is working? If so, in what ways? I'm not sure if there are package updates per version of nethunter. I do not have experience with it.

Allow me. If you read the sentence he actually said: I have bolded a very important prepositional phrase. On the latest Android firmware for the device, there is no tethering support. If you chose to use an older kernel/bulid that includes tethering, by all means you can.
