  1. I have just gone through the setup for a new Pineapple, the flash went smoothly and I'm able to ping it, but it is unable to connect to the 172.16.42.1:1471 server. I've tried configuring everything manually as outlined in the manual as well as trying to set it to automatic ip designation. I have tried it on two machines running windows 7 and 8. A few sites that check if webpage are up say that the page is down. Firefox says: The connection has timed out The server at 172.16.42.1 is taking too long to respond" or "Unable to connect Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 172.16.42.1:1471". Chromes response: "Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 172.16.42.1:1741". Could it be a issue with the server?
  2. Hi all, is there any documentation regarding the dip switch position? In which positions can I ssh, for instance? Thanks in advance Gabriel
  3. I just got my pineapple nano but I'm having troubles getting it to work. I'm tethered from my android and when I try and connect to the AP on my computer I get "Your connection is not private" when I try to go to any website.
  4. hello everyone, i just got my wifi pineapple a few weeks ago. i have been trying to troubleshoot it myself but i just cant seem to figure out what is going on with my nano. i set it up correctly and followed the directions like i was supposed to. then when i go to run the guided setup everything goes smooth until it tells me to connect my pineapple to my computer. i connect it but it doesnt seem to recognize it. now i connected it to my laptop and can go to the website with it and its fine but in order for me to connect it to the internet my computer for some reason will not recognize it . if anyone can help me that would be very much appreciated. thank you!
  5. Hi all, just got my Tetra and trying to play around with it. I have been able to connect to the 172.16.42.1:1471 page just fine. When I get to the second page where it says "Initial Setup Security", I click on continue and nothing happens. I have tried this via Ethernet and through both base SSID's that it shows when powered. Light on front of device is blue and I have a connection going through the Y cable connected to two USB Ports Type A on my computer, to the USB B connector on the Tetra . What do I seem to be missing here?
  6. Hello and thanks for your help :) I'm running Kali 2016 rolling and I have some problems setting up the Pineapple Tetra. So.. Just bought the Tetra, connected it, checked the 172.xxx address, and pinged it from terminal ---> OK The Problem : 1) Normal LAN Connection activated on wlan0 and then I active eth1 (pineapple) : My connection to my LAN is on wlan0. I can ping the pineapple fine but ... : - 1) When I click on the network Icon on the upper bar, it says "USB ETHERNET CONNECTING".. But I already have an IP for the Pineapple and can Ping it ! - 2) I cannot access the pineapple's IP on port 1471 on the browser.. "unable to connect" :( 2) Both connection activated (wlan0 to my Lan and eth1 to the pineapple) : - Now, the network icon is saying "USB ETHERNET CONNECTED", so the Pineapple is connected, still can ping it (and my router) from terminal but ... hnaks - 1) Browser won't connect either to a public IP nor to the pineapple IP IP tables are clean and killed all network services like tor / proxychains. Please help cos I'm really stuck here.. Thanks
  7. Hi All, I am trying to set up WiFi Pineapple nano on my Kali machine. I am doing so using the guided interface option. However, every time the process seems to stop at "Step 3 of 3: Select WiFi Pineapple Interface Please connect the WiFi Pineapple to this computer...................................................." I have tried unplugging WiFi nano and connect it back but still getting the same result.
  8. Hello, I just received my WifiPineapple Elite edition in the mail today and i am having issues setting it up. I run my Kali 2.0 through virtualbox and it is setup with a bridged connection. I've added the WP to the list of USB devices in the VM settings. I run the wp6 and do the guided setup, confirm my default address as 10.0.2.1, confirm eth0 is my internet connection, then confirm that eth1 is the pineapple. I look at my network connection and it shows both eth0 and eth1 are connected. My ip to eth0 is given as 10.0.2.100 and eth1 is 172.16.42.42. When i select "connect using saved settings" in the wp6 script, it says it is "detecting wifi pineapple" and just hangs there, throwing periods for dayzzz! I cant ping 172.16.42.1 either. Anybody know whats going on? Thank you.
  9. I just rec'd the Tetra I watched the video and read the instructions and I'm having problems off the bat. I connect to the Pineapple fine and click the Continue screen. (this is where you click the reset button and click continue) I click continue and I don't get passed to the next screen. I'm connecting via my Kali VM but I get the same response off my MAC Pro. Wireshark shows bi-directional traffic. I didn't see a FAQ page for this so here I am Thanks
  10. Are there any guided "scenarios" that can be followed to properly setup the pineapple in a common way? For example, I have the Pineapple Nano with an external battery. I'd like to configure the Nano to run headless (no cables to manage it) while using an Evilportal to capture clients, and then pass those clients through to the Internet. Steps: Plug Nano into external power. Log into Management AP and configure Client Mode to connect to a nearby AP (for Internet pass-through). Configure PineAP. Enable and configure EvilPortal. .... Put the Pineapple in your bag and hack the planet? I've looked about the Forums but was unable to find any such resource.
  11. I have an issue with the initial setup of my TETRA: The connection via USB ETH works fine and I also can start the setup. But on the second step, where I'm asked to select a new firmware file to upgrade, I can select whatever firmware file I want (or even none) and it always brings me to the next page, that tells me, that the upgrade file was verified successfully and I should wait for the setup to finish. However, after about 5 seconds I'm redirected back to the file-selection page with the URL "http://172.16.42.1:1471/?cache_breaker=1473066392". I already tried different browsers (IE, Firefox) and systems (Windows, Kali) but it's the same with all of them. Any idea, what I'm doing wrong? Or is there a way to skip the upgrade initially and do it later?
  12. I can't even seem to connect to my new Nano there is no response on http://172.16.42.1:1471 I plug it in - it boots - blue light blinks - then goes solid ... My read of Ifconfig shows Nano is connected to en5 - but seems en5 has no IP address ??? Ifconfig output is below - and screen show is attached ... I'm stuck !!! Any ideas ? Is there a way to Hard Reset ?? ------------------------------------- en5: flags=8963<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,PROMISC,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 options=4<VLAN_MTU> ether 00:c0:ca:8f:b6:11 inet6 fe80::2c0:caff:fe8f:b611%en5 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0xa nd6 options=1<PERFORMNUD> media: autoselect (100baseTX <full-duplex,flow-control>) status: active bridge100: flags=8863<UP,BROADCAST,SMART,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 options=3<RXCSUM,TXCSUM> ether 9a:e0:d9:79:10:64 inet 192.168.2.1 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.2.255 inet6 fe80::98e0:d9ff:fe79:1064%bridge100 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0xb Configuration: id 0:0:0:0:0:0 priority 0 hellotime 0 fwddelay 0 maxage 0 holdcnt 0 proto stp maxaddr 100 timeout 1200 root id 0:0:0:0:0:0 priority 0 ifcost 0 port 0 ipfilter disabled flags 0x2 member: en5 flags=3<LEARNING,DISCOVER> ifmaxaddr 0 port 10 priority 0 path cost 0 nd6 options=1<PERFORMNUD> media: autoselect status: active pineapple-setup-stuck.pdf
  13. I have no idea why clients won't connect to my Tetra? Can someone offer me some thoughts? I've followed all the vids and docs... Very frustrated :-( Hope this can get resolved.
  14. I want to install MITMF into my mark5 pineapple. Is this possible without pip and other stuff? I cant install pip and other dependencies because lack of system resources. Thanks.
  15. Hi All, I have tried a number of different troubleshooting methods but cannot get to the part of the setup where I upload the firmware. It won't take me to the page where I would browse to the file I have already downloaded. Y cables (2 of them) are plugged into the laptop. Have also tried a network cable, seprately. Blue light is on and solid Switch from my home AP with Internet to one of the two Pineapple_XXXX APs that are listed in the WiFi list Once connected browse to http://172.16.42.1:1471/ Then get to http://172.16.42.1:1471/index.php?action=firmwareUpdate but nothing happens after clicking "continue". I have clicked the button on the router many times - both quickly and long holds. Nothing happens and I cannot get to the page where I'm to upload the file. What should I do next? Here is the page that will not advance: Thanks in advance!
  16. hello reader, i am trying to follow the link here below to make a portable tor/vpn router-ish. so far i have been able to get to the 4th and 5ft step. for some reason (pretty sure it has to be the drivers because at 1 point you can download a file for drivers-ish) it wil not send anything receive anything, i am thinking it is because of the driver file. i have tried looking into the files but its not making sense to me since im a noob to it i am using 2 Alfa Network USB card AWUS036H. and i am using a rpi 3 is there anyone who can help me or can tell me what i am doing wrong? http://makezine.com/projects/browse-anonymously-with-a-diy-raspberry-pi-vpntor-router/ im sorry if i am not aloud to post links from competitive sites (because im not sure if this is one)
  17. I'm trying to get my Pineapple connected to the internet so I can update it/add infusions/etc... I couldn't get connection sharing on my Mac to work, so I started my Kali VM and connected the USB ethernet to that. Everything works fine and within the Linux VM I can access both the internet and the Pineapple. I ssh into the Pineapple and from there I can ping google, which indicates to me that the connection is being shared. But when I click on the button to show the internet IP in the Networking box of the control panel, it shows an error. When I try to check for updates/infusions, it shows an error. Any ideas?
  18. Apologies for the length of this, but it may help other people So yesterday I received my shiny new Tetra and thought "great, lets plug it in and have a play" :) The instructions are nice and simple: Download the latest WiFi Pineapple TETRA firmware - complete Plug the TETRA into your computer using the included USB Y cables - yep, done, pair of USB3 ports on my main Windows 10 PC. Also plugged in the mains adapter. Solid blue LED showing Browse to http://172.16.42.1:1471 (Only Chrome and Firefox are officially supported) - yeah. Nope. Not happening. Nada. Zip Follow the onscreen instructions to complete setup So, opened a command prompt and ran IPconfig APIA address on the USB-Ethernet port - not a good start. So its not picking up DHCP from the Tetra. OK thats probably the PC. Swap to laptop number 1. Windows 10 Plug in the Tetra to the two USB ports on the side. Still got a solid blue light on the Tetra. Still got APIA address on the USB Ethernet port Re-install the drivers for the USB-Ethernet port - still nada. The interface in windows is showing as connected, unidentified. Cannot connect to the management page Check the Wifi networks showing - 2x Pineapple_xxxx networks (presuming one 2.4 and one 5Ghz) - lets try connecting to them, and yep can "connect" but again, no DHCP address. Now mildly frustrated. Swap to laptop number 2. Cannot connect to the management page Now getting more frustrated Swap to laptop number 3. Kali Linux 2 Plug in the Tetra to the two USB ports on the side. Still got a solid blue light on the Tetra. Still got APIA address on the USB Ethernet port Re-install the drivers for the USB-Ethernet port - still nada. The interface is showing in ifconfig but with not IP Cannot connect to the management page Now beginning to think hardware failure Swap to laptop number 4. Mac Install the Realtek driver for Mac, new USB 10/100 adapter appears Plug in the Tetra to the two USB ports on the side. Still got a solid blue light on the Tetra. Still got APIA address on the USB Ethernet port Re-install the drivers for the USB-Ethernet port - still nada. The interface in windows is showing as connected, unidentified. Cannot connect to the management page Now VERY frustrated and thinking about DoA's, RMA's back to the states.... OK, lets try something radical At this point the only thing I've got left is to rebuild my Kali box as a Windows 7 box. Which completes and then takes another couple of hours to patch. By this time I've gone down the pub for the evening. Laptop number "5". Kali Box rebuilt as Windows 7 Install the Realtek driver for Mac, new USB 10/100 adapter appears Plug in the Tetra to the two USB ports on the side. Still got a solid blue light on the Tetra. Still got APIA address on the USB Ethernet port Re-install the drivers for the USB-Ethernet port - still nada. The interface in windows is showing as connected, unidentified. Cannot connect to the management page Now convinced there is something wrong with the hardware. 5 different platforms, 4 different OS' and not one DHCP address. Nothing on the forums that seems to apply. Last thing to do - reapply the factory firmware Follow the instructions on the FAQ page and bang, once the firmware is "refreshed" back to factory, all of a sudden everything is working on my W7 laptop, and I could login, complete the setup etc. So its finally all working. TL;DR - if you really really can't connect to a new tetra and you've tried drivers, connectors, everything you can - try reapplying the factory firmware.
  19. So you put how to setup internet sharing on both the windows installation and linux, I was wondering if you can help me do the internet sharing on my mac because i cannot find anywhere where it says ethernet on network settings ..
  20. So, I want to install the USB packages: root@pineapple:# opkg --dest usb install tmux gpsd gpsd-clients root@pineapple:# opkg install kernel kmod-usb-serial-pl2303 It gives me errors saying it doesn't recognize the command and can't locate the packages when I use "apt-get install". I am a beginner at wireless hacking and I'm just starting to use the WiFi pineapple. It would also be nice if someone had read "Hacking Exposed: Wireless Edition", although not neccessary, since that's where I'm getting these instructions from. I'm trying to do this on kali linux 2.0
  21. yea as the title says...my kid brother unpackaged my pineapple before i got home from work and the little punk that he usually is threw the freaking piece of paper away that had the SD attached to it so now idk what to do....i formatted a thumbdrive to EXT4 and that is pretty much where i am right now....idk how i'm suppose to go about flashing the firmware and i also read in the little owners manual that it can not be run without an SD so does that mean that installing the firmware on the USB would be moot? ANY help would be greatly appreciated...I'm on a macbook pro runninng 10.10.5
  22. Would the following sceanrio work? Pinapple A is running the complete PineAP suite. Pinapple B is connected to the internet via WiFi/3G. Can you provide Pinapple A internet through ethernet using Pineapple B?
  23. So guys, I got a little setup problem My setup: iPhone 4S , wifi tethering, and the wifi pineapple! What I want to do: boot up both devices, connect iPhone to wifi pineapple, startup everything ( actually just tcpdump at the moment, maybe also deauth ) after that, do something magic and start wifi tethering on the iPhone and let the pineapple connect to it ( maybe put something in the dip switch so it connects automatically to the iPhone, but I don't know how ) Does someone know an answer to this? Greetz, Roman
  24. So I got my Mark IV in the mail yesterday. Hooked up to my Kali instance, and logged into the console with the default password. Immediately changed the password to something with an apostrophe in it. Logged out, couldn't log in. Huh. Maybe I messed it up, right? So I held the reset button down for 10 seconds, got the flash, reset it, and logged in with the default password again. Changed the password again v e r y c a r e f u l l y. Logged out, still couldn't log in. Guess it doesn't like apostrophes. Who knew. But. When I went to reset it again, do dice. Held the button down for two minutes. Tried hitting the button on front. Did it with and without the Ethernet in the jack. Nothing I do works. So now I have a doorstop. Thoughts? S
  25. I just got my Rubber Ducky a few hours ago and when I attempt to use it on my Mac it pop up with the Keyboard Setup Assistant instead of executing the inject.bin. Running Mavericks 10.9.2. I've read around this forum and have read about updating the firmware to 2.1 and changing the PIN and VIN. I am new to the terminal and I don't really know how to update the firmware. I attempted to install dfu-programmer, but got a usb.h error, so I read around more and downloaded usblib installed that, but still got the error. I copied the usb.h file into the /usb/include location, still got errors, but it may have worked... I dont know. Even with this maybe installed I don't know how to exactly update the firmware on my Rubber Ducky. Can someone please direct me to or instruct me on how to get it to work on Mavericks and bypass the Keyboard Setup? Thank you in advance. note: it functions completely fine on my windows xp machine.
