  1. Now using the default port 23. All other service should also now be, ftp in some of your best text files and ansi 8)
  2. mystic is cool, and I'm currently learning how to use it, because I also found it quite nice. We both have experience in synchronet, though and it has everything we need. Also, new answer screen ascii. Better, worse?
  3. Never played a game with Darren, but I whipped Wess that one time he actually logged in to the Hak5Pwnz XBL account and played Halo 2. I know Darren has to be better than that at FPS
  4. We have almost got it pretty good. I took the delicious Hak5 ANSI, and moved it too the answer screen, but it doesn't really seem to fit, so I'm thinking of moving it to where the Synchro splash screen is now. Some door games work, some do not. Thats the wip and current focus. I started a wiki page, but don't exactly know what else to add to it, there are ideas for expansions and what not, but I'm not sure I want to get ahead of myself when there is still some to do to before it can hit the entire hak5 audience. I think, though, we will be ready to have this thing completely public by next episode, and Darren, talk to Ethan about the DNS stuff and whatnot. Putty's butchering
  5. Does anyone know where the RAM keychain idea came from? I made mine after seeing the Hak5 episode where Alli ran away. Its a cool idea, the processor looks awesome like that. I've always wanted a good way to display my extras.
  6. You could go portable TOR, but I choose to throw PHProxy on a server and go from there.
  7. Download Speed: 1529 kbps (191.1 KB/sec transfer rate) Upload Speed: 369 kbps (46.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
  8. Kinda cool, despite being on digg. This looks like its in my skill range.
  9. I don't know what you couldn't understand by reading the wiki. You configure you streaming program of choice to interface with the icecast 2 server that houses Hak5 radio (With working detailed instructions on the wiki) and start from there.
  10. I need a projector, a voltage inverter, the use of someone's car, my laptop, battery powered speakers, and a good building side.
  11. if you read the hakstore topic in the suggestions forum, you would know they are waiting till their contract with jinx is up to start a store with a bunch of goods.
  12. You seriously have too much free time.
  13. Yeah, if anyone wants to improve on mine, go ahead. It may just be the compiler or something. I haven't programmed in a while, and when you switch compilers, some stuff is not treated the same way.
  14. depends what media center you use, I believe. What I used to do with XBMC was take the stream url and make a .pls file.
  15. Dude, I've been waiting for this post for ages. Every day someone comes in the irc, does not read the big red letters in the topic, and tries to use the non-existant Crackbot
  16. There are free dial-up providers, but they prolly won't be near you and count as local calls, so you will be charged long distance.
  17. rtsp... I had a thread about this a bit ago. VLC kinda crapped out on me because I think my rtsp (if not all) stream was real media. SUPER (Google it) will save and possibly on the fly re-encode the stream. Should work if you run windows.
  18. Some / most of the stuff in the movie doesn't look like it could be pulled off through normal software. If I had to guess, I'd say everything there is prerendered video made from scratch.
  19. I've never seen torrent, but I thought they just did segments of shows. What I'm trying to get is people's reason behind why they do shows amongst other things. Also, from now on if you are solid in the fact you'd be willing do do some footage for this project, pm me. I take it you are thetron, so I shall add you now
  20. Back years, and years ago, http://www.happyhacker.org/gtmhh/winlan.shtml Substitute Win 95/98 for XP, Linux, etc. It talks about some funky stuff.
