  1. What are us suggesting? Having a machine on a remote network, say my house, do all the downloading and then directly transfer the files between my machine at the dorm and the machine at home? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torrentflux
  2. The way I would do it is probably leave a box at home running some sort of remote administration and an ftp server
  3. Purchase your games. You are less likely to have problems with them
  4. Yeah forward the ports on your wireless router with the ip of the laptop, and port forward the ports on the modem with the ip of the wireless router
  5. [me=Famicoman]mutes the volume and watches the video[/me] maybe from a far.
  6. I don't think it matches the first one. In the way of innovation of course. Not to flame but I don't think the first one was all that innovative. Then again I'm a bit bias coming from the PC platform. We've had Halo killers for years before the xbox was even conceived. I will however give it credit for bringing the FPS genre to the unwashed masses. I'll even go as far as to say Halo was the Goldeneye of the myspace generation. Completely agree. PC has always beena step ahead, Halo kinda evened the playing field after the GE craze ended.

  8. I heard alot of stores got many many copies, some have like 100+ so I'm gonna try to test the water over the weekend.
  9. At this day in age, everyone should have their binrev account :P
  10. I kinda wanted to jump on this, but I would put too much time into something lackluster

  12. What, USB cables have 4 wires or so? as long as ethernet has that number of wires free, you can splice in the usb wires. I don't know what that will do for the speed, though.
  13. I don't follow him as a leader either. You know, Charles Manson was a leader, Jim Jones was a leader, and I don't even think any of them stole ideas from others without giving credit, and tried to become a huge person by doing so.
  14. you should take some of your temp files and compile them into articles for Analog 5. Not sure how I would do that. Nothing interesting there. Theres a poem I did in 9th grade, a port scan I did for gameman73 a year ago, some help file from something, and a gameshark hacking guide from back in the day. I could do some N64 hacking articles, but I have to dig out some cables I put somewhere.
  15. I for one who has greatly embraced the <name>.5 am not quite against it, but I think its getting boring, or maybe too unifom. But what do I care, the games I play are so old, online support is either non-existent, or unloved.
  16. stage 6 has them, and you can dl from stage6
  17. http://faminet.uni.cc Me uniting my stuff. I kinda needed a name to release things under as a collective, so there it is in all its boringness.
  18. We did this already, and I lost because I don't emulate
  19. On the Topic of the BBS documentary, its great, I have the DVD set. HIGHLY recommended. Also, Legend of the Red Dragon is UP! its version 4.07, but the problem with it is that you can't win it unless you donate money to get a registration code. If anyone can find previous versions, pm me here or hit me up on irc. Dopewars is coming soon. some small error in one field of the config I cant figure out that is supposed to make it launch in the telnet window, but opens it up in a new window instead. UPDATE: It turns out the version of dopewars we had was not a door in itself. There are programs that will run it as a door however, but the site is down atm so I will be checking for it so everyone can get their dope on. Text files exist now. Any game request can be made to Ethan or I Things are really coming along. This might be the most ball busting project I have engaged in, but also very rewardig.
