uber_tom
5 why do i get the feeling that knowing stuff like this is completely useless in the information age....not that it ever was any real use. http://www.borrett.id.au/computing/petals-j.htm just thought I'd add this, see if it drives anyone insane. Garda
1.618033988...Do I get any points for calculating Phi? yea, the golden ratio is pretty cool e though (2.71828) is the king of random numbers i feel it just doesn't get all the credit it deserves. it's like, if they were people, pi would be the arrogant, less intelligent, less capable one who gets all the women, and e would be the better number that misses out
Kateweb
BTW the point for me anyway is that on pi day @ MCC any student can walk up to any of the math faculty and recite as much of pi as they can, the student most reported places gets $300 scholarship (esenily a fee math book). I haven't a snowball chance in hell in wining but still kinda fun. 3.1415926535897932....
