I have always been a fan of InfraRecorder, mostly because there is a potable version of it available.

PlayOnLinux is just a candy coating on top of wine.

The Fon router is only consuming four watts or about 0.8 Amps at 5 volts, so you will need about two of Sparkfun's Large Solar Cells to power it. You will need more to charge a battery to power it overnight, a 10 watt panel should be more then enough to power the Fon and charge a battery.

It's always good to have an extra keyboard lying around, you never know when your cat will decide to take a nap on it. :-D
