  1. Something like this would be an interesting topic for a future episode from the Hak.5 crew. Well really it would be a lot easier to sign up for a webmail account with Tor or something and just send the email that way, it would certainly give you a higher degree of anonymity. Even simpler would be using hushmail, who claim they store no information linking the IP of users to accounts or emails that are sent, although they could be lying of course.
  2. I think classical music has quite heavily influenced metal which is why it's quite popular. Yep, I'm know it's a wide genre with a lot of sub genres, but sometimes people seem to restrict themselves to ridiculously specific sub genres. It is, just not very interesting or original content. I'm interested in your reasoning behind that. Why is creating music on a computer not an acceptable method?

Yeah, I'd say if they are using encryption and that token isn't just a arbitrary value which represents the song in the database or a hash of an arbitrary value it will almost certainly be a modern cipher which you never going to break. If you are going to download the song illegally then then I don't see the point in using Pandora, just use P2P stuff like everyone else.

What? Why would you need to decrypt it then re-encrypt it? Wouldn't that give you the same thing? If I go to that URL I can download Born in the USA, is that what it's supposed to be?
  5. Well I guess that depends how you define a black hole, doesn't it? Those two pages seem to indicate that anything within the event horizon is counted as the black hole. Since anything which goes past the event horizon will never leave it again I'd say that's kind of logical. What would you see within the Schwartzchild radius?
  6. It's at every time. Such is the nature of timezones.
  7. I never understood people who only listen to one type of music, which seems to be quite prevalent among people who like metal.
  8. Well that message means the mailbox of that name isn't available, probably because it doesn't exist. Not sure about other SMTP server you can use, try Google. You should be aware your IP will usually be in the headers of any emails you send, so you aren't anonymous by spoofing your address.
  9. I'm guessing hotmail decided not to act as an open relay server. Because of spam it's not very desirable to run an open relay server nowadays.
  10. Heh, tell that to PWNtcha. Although that can only read specific captchas and the banner isn't a captcha and also if he was a bot he wouldn't be able to understand your request anyway. Ho hum.
  11. Maybe the game could just be when the hurlyburly's done, when the battle's lost and won.
  12. That wasn't accurate enough. And it used the wrong origin, everyone knows time should be based around Greenwich because England invented time.
  13. You know in mainland China they only have 1 timezone.
  14. EST is GMT-5... Also the UK isn't currently on GMT, but BST. The only place I can think of currently using GMT is Iceland. And the east coast of the US is currently on EDT, not EST.
  15. Well that FAQ that W4RP3D posted above seems to classify the physical size of a black hole by it's Schwarzschild radius which is the radius of the event horizon. That page says "A black hole with a mass equal to that of the Sun would have a radius of 3 kilometers" which is certainly larger than any pea I've seen, and that only has the mass of 1 sun, Q0906+6930 is 10^10 (ten billion) times bigger. Also this page seems to agree (which I found by searching for 'size of a black hole' on Google).

  17. You know it also says what to trust at the top of this very page.
  18. Empornium is a good site though...
  19. Well I think you're in the minority, non-tech threads seem to be more popular than tech threads if you look at the post counts in things like the fat thread, who's hottest thread, music thread and photos thread compared to the other threads in here. This is the "Everything Else" forum after all.
  20. This is the one I was thinking of. Hmm, pretty big pea.
  21. Yes, my point was saying you didn't use WML and saying you used PHP & MySQL as if those were substitutes for WML isn't correct.
  22. Neither of those are markup languages though.. Unless your site was just a lot of unformatted text you must have used at least HTML or something.
  23. Are you sure about that? Didn't they discover a black hole billions of times bigger than the sun fairly recently (in the last couple of years)?
  24. Well there isn't really much evidence of any of Hitler's ancestors being Jewish. That idea was primarily spread by the Soviets and opponents of the Nazi party. He didn't know who one of his grandfathers was so it is possible, although there isn't any evidence that he (his grandfather) was Jewish.
  25. It's not that bad. I always thought Logon Rock Witch sounds like music from a Final Fantasy game. I'll check that out anyway.
