Well I think it's because to escape a blackhole you'd have to be travelling faster than the speed of light, and since light doesn't travel faster than the speed of light (obviously) it can't escape. How gravity affects a massless photon I don't know, it might be something to do with bending space or something (if it can affect space and time why not light)... whatever that means. In conclusion: I don't know much about physics.

What has the second part of that post got to do with the first part? Are you pointing out that the faster something goes the more relativistic mass it has? Anyway assuming Einstein's theories of relativity are right I don't think anything with a mass can go faster than light. Although no one can say for certain (or indeed can really say anything for certain, but that's getting a bit philosophical), and I certainly can't.

Monowall is a stand alone system based on FreeBSD. It depends if you are running any other servers on the system that you don't wish to be be publicly accessible. You might not need one because on a server you generally know exactly what's running and usually the stuff you run is there to provide service to people. If you have something you want to only be accessible from your own network you might want something (I use FreeBSD so I don't know what firewalls are typically used on Linux specifically, but ipf is avilable for Linux). You don't want a personal firewall like on Windows though when you are running a server, you will just want a firewall running with some static rules you have written.

Most of the words he introduced to the language were adapted from other languages (such as latin) or from already exisitng words, so they have some etymology, he didn't just make them up without regard to the rest of the language. Edit: Also differing spellings of his name may be due to the nature of spelling back then, that is basically things were just spelled however you liked as long as is was spelled right phonetically.

Or you hate his writings? Is that because you find them hard to read? He just added '"thou"s "thy"s "o"s and "art"s' to what though? The rest of his highly original and complex writing? Not to mention the fact he contributed thousands of new words and countless phrases to the English language. Don't know about not being able to spell his own name, where did you hear that? It seems unlikely considering his mastery of the language in his writing.
