Yay, glad to hear it is working now........make sure you update to 1.3.0....... After the firmware update, update anything else the bar says you need. If you haven't yet, go get a class 10 sd card.

Well, it should work with your settings........... You could try to connect to your router via wifi using wlan1 on the pineapple........using the Network tile.....client mode tab. If that works, or if not.... use the configuration tile, advanced tab to factory reset.....then see if that sorts it out. Are you on firmware 1.3.0? Do you have any third party firewall installed on windows? Try to fully update windows, especially make sure both network cards have the most recent driver.

I really don't think this is needed, but it's worth a shot. In the wifi sharing tab.... Check "Allow other network users to control or disable the shared Internet connection" click on settings under it, then check all the boxes. As I said, I do have one that gives me fits like you are having.......I just mess with it at least twice to get it going.

Lol.......windows.......I have no idea why one of my laptops does that......the others seem to do it just fine. It's just that one gives me problems. If it still doesn't work, remove the sharing, then redo it one more time. That should work, if not maybe Foxtrot can chime in, he is watching this thread, and his knowledge is way beyond mine. Ok remove the settings, restart windows...........then try once more...........share the wifi first then set your static on the LAN. For some reason I have a windows 8 laptop that makes me do it twice to work. If you want, you can take screenshots as you go.........

Go ahead and share your WiFi, don't worry about the drop down list. It will change your LAN ip, that's ok just go back to the LAN and set it up again 172.16.42.42 .....subnet.255.255.255.0 gateway 8.8.8.8.

I would buy it......... $0.99 isn't $39.99. I would pay $4.99 if it's a good app. For anyone that doesn't use cc online.........there is always iTunes gift cards. For someone to say your going to get rich is ridiculous, I hope you at least make it compatible with 5.1.2 please, so I can use it on an old iPad 1. Features: Anything and everything you can throw at it. Server based?: Will the server always be around.........even if you only sell 12 apps? As far as the dip switches...for boot....I think jjd's macchanger still works. I'm not sure what happened, all I did was play a bit with the WPS, using wlan1as monitor.After that I disabled mon0, disabled wlan1. I'm back to "unable to connect to ........." on wlan0. I then reflashed via the web interface........still the same? I guess I'll try later to format my 16gb class 10 card . Not using the web interface to see if that helps. :( Edit: I used the web interface to reformat the sd card, then reflashed.........all is good now. My card must have been corrupted or something.

So far, so good. The "hostapd deauth" issue I have experienced since 1.0.0 seems to have been fixed. No rebooting every 30 minutes..........yay Thanks Sebkinne

I had the sd card problem when I first got my mark v's, on one of them. To me that was no big deal Darren, for a few $ I went and got replacement class 10 cards. My BIG problem is "hostapd disassociated due to inactivity DoS" submitted in the bug section. I guess it's because at my house, I don't have many devices connect or something. But.......I can turn either one on and after a period of time....(10 minutes to 30 minutes, sometimes if I'm lucky an hour).. I HAVE TO REBOOT THE THING....to be able to connect to it. This happens on 2 different mark v's. I understand there may only be a few people with this problem, but it's very frustrating. I'm hoping something can be done to fix this. I have tried every firmware except the latest, to no avail, the issue still exists. From what I have read in the threads only 0jf5 and I seem have this issue.

Finally got one of the mark v's back out and upgraded......... Much faster, yay........ being able to minimize the tiles, yay.......haven't had time to do much with it yet. I am a lot more excited about using it now. Thanks Sebkinne

I don't really think mw3demo is trolling at all. I think he is genuinely trying to help people make an informed decision, by stating facts. He is a customer that has spent hard earned money on a product, and is disappointed with some of the problems with the product. I don't want to be attacked or berated for making this post either. I also am a customer experiencing some of the same problems. Is this how hak5 deals with customers? To belittle them if they point out the problems? I surely hope not.

I'm not really sure myself, but does anyone here remember the Vapochill pc cases? They got the CPU to -60 something before the pc would even start up, they were used for extreme overclocking.

Well you could maybe sell it for a few $$ in the Trading Post here in the forums. Hopefully you haven't thrown it against the wall or out the window. As long as it isn't physically damaged, Someone might buy it. Your best bet is create a thread with your specific problems, I am sure someone here will jump in and try to help.
