ads like that mean nothing when all actors are hired or people who are not power users who can be wowed by eye candy and due to the limited time of using it they wont have time to get tired of the laggy visuals if they got more experienced power users who would run apps based on performance then vista would get bad reviews almost every test, especially with gaming (even with sp1) at higher resolutions where the videocard is a bottle neck, vista is only slightly slower than xp (barely noticeable) but at low resolutions, 800x600-1024x768 there is a large difference between xp and vista. vista will be much slower any company that tries advertising like this should be ashamed of them self as it proves nothing also even if it was real, 90% of the videos were probably left out and this is done a lot, even on the show bullshit, when they do interviews and experiments like that, they usually say that most of the videos were left out because they were not entertaining enough another way to market vista to unskilled users is to have them try it, if all they do is use their pc for basic web use, then they most likely have a old PC in their house. vista on a high end dual core system will run much better than windows xp or windows 98 on a 800-1GHz system so while xp will run faster on the pc microsoft tested, unskilled users will see it as really fast because there used to using their 7-8 year old computer

the video never talked about better speed and performance vista is slower and doesn't offer anything new to offset the slowness when XP first came out, people hated on it also because it was slower, but that soon changed when 2-4gb became common and people started using multicore xp outgrew it's slowness by support for better hardware vista has the same hardware support as xp, so it will never outgrow it's slowness

computers are in cases because they protect it from objects falling on sensitive parts example it something like a screw driver were to fall on the case, it could hit the motherboard and destroy part of the PCB or cause a short if anything splashes and water flys in, it could also cause problems while open air does provide good cooling performance, it is not very safe many people use home made work benches for pcs if there constantly and quickly changing parts for testing or other stuff as there just more convenient but everyone I know who has a workbench will eventually move the system into it's own proper case if there was a steel grid like whats over the fan, but covering the entire case then it would be better but other than that, it is a waste of money and a unsafe thing to use while some people may say oh I will never let anything fall on my pc. thats like saying I will never get hit by lightning, no one plans on this, it just happens no one will drop stuff on their pc on purpose unless there crazy or something

it could be a mac server running windows and apple doesn't really handle the server market well so they will use whats most popular as it is easier to get workers to manage your network also apple.com uses microsoft and linux servers

not sure have not done full vista testing on it, but it doesn't hurt to try ps if you have 4GB or less then it is better to just stick with 32 bit, 64 bit is not really faster and in most cases it is actually slower than 32 bit because it has to emulate 32 bit to run 32 bit apps

yep this has been happening for a while. this will just cause more piracy. pandora is a good service as users were actually able to sample the entire song is a ok sound quality I never buy music based on the 10-30 second sound clips that are compressed to the point of being worst than AM radio I have bought music based on a sample before and got a song that was bland and repetitive and only had 1 good part which was what was in the sample. if people cant sample the entire song then they wont buy the music, they will download it instead to sample the whole thing and at that point no way are they buying it even if it is good or not because of all the work they were put through the riaa is trying to kill off all lesser known bands so people will be forced into going with the top 40 that they chose for us would you buy pizza from a new pizza shot if they only allowed you to sample the oil used in the crust? if not then why expect people to buy music if they only hear 1 element of it? bands should fight to make a law that requires all bands to have a equal chance of having their music played on the radio. with radio now, it is the same 30-40 songs over and over all year with the exception of if those top 40's make a new cd

1440x900 here dual display, wide screen monitor and 20 inch CRT tv running at 640x480 so i can watch anime while gaming. the old 5 inch lcd that kept near the base of the main monitor died (got it from a flea market so i knew it wouldn't last long)

the company probably cheaped out and hired too few workers then overworked them then when the workers feel that they cant keep up with the work load, they go down swinging by screwing the company on the way out

I like using winavi you can combine any number of videos into 1 file only problem is that winavi is not free but it is the best converter I ever used much better than SUPER and any others I use, it is just so simple to use and they have their own codec that makes converting much faster, it is not multi threaded so it only uses 1 core but with 1 core it gets 300+ FPS while converting and it makes it extremely easy to use, just select the format you want to convert to (it does many formats), then select the video files, then if needed use the advance section to add subtitle files or resize the video into a resolution of your choice or change the amount of compression it has the least cluttered UI out of the converters I used
