  1. Awesome thanks for the fast response. I was assuming it would be the same, but i wanted to get some outside opinions before i relayed my own to some colleagues.
  2. If I were to encrypt a file with 7zip using AES-256, will it be as strong as encrypting the same file with TrueCrypt AES-256?
  3. vtc.com looked pretty good... their videos are pretty legit cbtnuggets looks like its more for someone who is pursuing a cert for Microsoft Office. this is a little too intense for our users lol. I found Lynda.com to be pretty good. they have a bunch of different training solutions too. I think ill be going with them.
  4. Thanks for taking the time to reply to this. Ill look into those suggestions and let you know how it works...
  5. Hey guys, I know this topic doesn't sound to entertaining but I am looking for a good software/video based training suite for Microsoft Office 2007. This is going to be used for employees at my company that need some added education on how to use Office 2007. I'm guessing a lot of you guys on here probably have been in the same situation, so i figured id throw this out there and see if i could find some leads. Thanks again! PS: Mod's - my appoligies if i put this in the wrong section...
  6. This is great info, thanks again guys... Here is the article that cleared it all up for me and my team http://www.windowsecurity.com/articles/Securing-Local-Administrators-Group-Every-Desktop.html
  7. appreciate your help, let me know if you find out how to do this... its driving me nuts!
  8. Thanks for the info! Using that command in a log in script is a good idea, we were thinking this may be done through GP as well? Do you know if this is possible Boris?
  9. Hey guys hows it going? I am trying to figure out how to remove all of my users from the local admin group on their machines on my network (Windows XP clients). I would like to do this via GP, but i am a little rusty with it. Can anyone elaborate or possibly guide me to a good directive? Thanks!
  10. im pretty sure you can get webmarshall free for 30days, set it up on a box and target your problem child until your told to stop. and don't forget to get authorization before doing any sort of monitoring, this could back fire and make you lose your job... webmarshall kinda sucks for a permenant solution, i used it before, but its the only one i can think of off the top of my head. also make him a normal user while your doing this so he cannot modify browser proxy settings and bypass it... g/l
  11. Im trying to remotely execute a .exe over my windows 2003 network. Basically i just need to know what tool i should be using for this. I was trying to use pstools but i dont think i have the syntax correct. this is what im typing... psexec \\examplepc -c c:\examplefile.exe My understanding of the command tells me that this should run a file located on my machine on a remote machine. i keep getting error code 0 or error code 1 Does anyone know what the heck im doing wrong lol... or if there is a simpler way to perform this task?
  12. sorry for the newbie sounding question... just want to find info so i can wrap my head around this concept. would reverse engineering be relative to this topic?
