  1. I may be totally wrong on this part which is why i have yet to release a video on the new PineAP features but i believe Beacon Response is used when you wanna target a single target or everyone around you so it uses ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff you can change the ff's to a target only device if im not mistaken. If im not mistaken the new features currently allow you to expand the list of access points your targets can connect to rather then showing just the pineapple they can connect to you can setup more ssid names and broadcast as them ssid's hopefully if a victim is looking for free wifi they will connect to one of them ssid's your pineapple is broadcasting. its kinda hard for me to explain in text sadly but im believe thats basically how the new features work.
  2. Yeah my last comment i had a feeling it had to do with the power source thats why i made a double post.
  3. I'm curious to know what kinda power source you're using to just to be curious your power source could be causing a boot loop if its not sending enough power or too much power to the pineapple.
  4. I would assume it might be possible some devices maybe don't detect networks with the same name because it thinks its a duplicate :B
  5. I've never used Arch Linux before i normally stick to Debian and Red Hat Flavors
  6. If you got a way to record your pineapple from the time you power up till the time it starts to boot loop might help to see the lights im curious to see if its a brick boot loop or if thats the lights that flash when you need to access the login page i just wanna rule out that its not the lights that are waiting for you to configure it. My only other thoughts would be a defective pineapple i sometimes swear mine is to but meh.
  7. Are you sure you followed that video? the lights are supposed to flash off and on after flashing they go from red blue amber and the green stays on and then others the same light pattern until you login to the pineapple for the first time. That's why i said listen to that video however if your lights are not flashing off and on fast in a row and they are basically starting as green and then blue and then red and then gos out back to blue and red that isn't a good sign that normally happens when its bricked. I strongly recommend you listen to that video and make sure what you're doing is correct if everything is correct might have a bad pineapple but i highly recommend you listen closely to that video.
  8. I honestly think its a firmware issue some people appear to not be having problems while others are having problems. I noticed a few problems myself not sure if anyone else has the same problems because no one has posted anything like the problems i have.
  9. That is correct Dogma needs to be enabled with PineAP and normally can take a few seconds to load the list of SSID's you have for the SSID management section.
  10. Uhhh might just be your phone taking to long to detect all the networks i notice my phone doesn't pick up all the networks right away. It might be an issue with that maybe phones can't pick up but so many networks. Under the SSID management just to be correct you added or have a list of networks you wanna broadcast as correct?
  11. If you format your sd card nothing will be on it. until you start installing infusions on it Don't quote me on this but i believe the factory firmware if im not mistaken is what you'd find on the sd card when doing a first install of the pineapple when you get it.
  12. Uhh! sounds bricked to me unless you got a defective pineapple. I'd reflash the factory firmware and again also remove the SD card and see what happens. Normally i only seen this happen when the pineapple is bricked. Try again factory flashing don't upgrade. If all the lights are going in a fast pattern your supposed to access 172.16.42.1:1471 to configure the setup. Also might try following this video to make sure you're doing it right. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZJS6llVslY
  13. I just tried my adapter out a few and its not having any luck connecting to the router i'll have to try another time i notice the MKV runs really hot here in Florida so possibly not a good ideal to use it in temps over 80 outside.
  14. wlan1 is supposed to go down when you're using the PineAP with like Dogma you need to change the wireless card under Client Mode to a 3rd wireless card. Thats why hak5 is giving everyone who bought a MKV a discount on a another wireless card they recommend you use. You save like $7 off on the card if you buy it from hak5 i haven't even used my wireless card i got from them yet i've been playing with my SDR dongle i order from them as well i guess i should make sure that wireless card works before it gets to late. I should've added spacing to my words but in a rush.
  15. what a shame they don't have a black cap or at least i didn't find any on ebay maybe on other websites they might sell them.
  16. Ohhh trust me i plan to run either Kali Linux or i'm start working on my own custom pentesting distro with less bloat ware then Kali Linux not to get off topic but i was working on my own custom distro based off Debian i needed to format my windows system i thought i backed up the right vmware files turns out i didn't so i lost 4 weeks of modding and haven't gotten over the lose yet to restart the build. But yea i need new laptop that has a decent battery for when im out doing some pentesting im not much of a fan of HP or Dell i've owned both and they are just not reliable. One thing that gets me is on that T420 model and half the Thinkpad's is that red button for the mouse and that blue enter button that drives my OD crazy man. I like a nice black laptop i haven't figured out to this day why they gotta have that red mouse button in the middle of the keyboard really gets to me. I'd rather just go with a MSI GS60 and be done with it but don't have the $1,000 to do it. $400 is my budget I should wait till income tax and get the MSI GS60 but kinda need something now.
  17. So, im sure they all are good but which Lenovo Thinkpad would you recommend if you have used or have personally owned im thinking about getting one of these Lenovo Thinkpad laptops because of their reliability compared to like dell and hp computers. I wanted something that has a decent battery life at least 3-4 hours seems battery life is my mine problem i face with laptops when im out in the field doing testings battery life is not so good im lucky if i get like 2 hours on current laptop now i know i can always get a better battery but i think its time for a laptop change i've been hearing people say they like them Thinkpad laptops so im kinda looking to get maybe a Lenovo Thinkpad 420T maybe. I honestly feel i should hold off buying till the first of the year since i think that prices are gonna drop on all the Windows 7 machines due to what microsoft is planning to do on January 13th 2015.
  18. I'm clueless as to what you're on about one thing i might say is make sure you have the latest firmware installed on your pineapple I believe their was a problem in the 1.2.0 with the network thing causing disconnect issues and was fixed in more firmware updates for the pineapple so that might be why if you are connectin to your pineapple with your laptop why you keep disconnecting because of out dated firmware. at least update to 2.0.2 if you don't want to use 2.0.3 myself im still using 2.0.2
  19. Captive Portal is what i noticed a lot of people on here recommend i guess the best thing to do and im not sure how you can make a popup or auto install of the certificate but i guess if you can figure that part out you might be able to say on a captive portal something like... "Welcome Guest! Before you can access the internet you must install our plug in so we can add you to our internet allow list" or something more creative to maybe get users to install that allowing you to be able to capture credentials that way.
  20. You'd get an e-mail from hak5 when they ship your order if the package is being shipped to a address in the US it normally get to that address within 3 working days. It's around 3,000 or so miles from where hak5 is located it made it to my house other the other coast in 3 days outside the US you gotta deal with customs they are slow :B
  21. I might have miss-understood what Whistle Master said but i believe he says if you buy a legit SSL certificate from a place that sells them ex; godaddy ect.. it doesn't show like a ssl warning to the victim. I myself don't make tons of money to waste of stuff to try them out to see if they work or not myself im kinda confused how owning a legit ssl certificate would allow you to break the https but meh im also confused on how you can get a ssl certificate made in a company like facebook's name.
  22. Ohhh i don't doubt in the least that they are con's to sucker people into buying stuff i first hand about that stuff i've finally for schemes that claimed you'd make alot of cash doing someones product the only people making the money are the people selling you the product. don't get me wrong some of the stuff might really work if you do your part to make it work.
  23. From what i understand you gotta buy a real ssl cert for the site you are targeting if you wanna use tools like sslsplit. i might be wrong you might only need to buy a wildcard cert to use it against victims.
  24. I'd like to have a feature on this that saves the the aircraft information so when you set it up some where and you leave it it saves the log of all the aircraft it seen. maybe an option to clean to saved log history as well
  25. Not even sure if it can be made or not but would be nice to have a infusion that would tell how much battery juice is left before you run and hard to know how much time you got left running it when you are out so you can expect to have to power down.
