Hi guys, Apologies if this is a bit of a simple question, I've not come across it before and a Google search yielded a lot of irrelevant results. Is there a simple way to tell if a PC was Restarted or Shut Down on it's last power down? As in, tell if the user selected 'Restart' or selected 'Shut Down' within Windows 7? Thank you.

I want the wifipineapple to be restarted every 1 hour! I used the Crontab task, but it did not work! How can i do it?

Hi all, Just got a LT last week, and liking it so far. Though my plan for it requires it be placed in a remote location I can't get into without some effort. That said I want to use cron to reboot the LT on a time schedule, either a specific time say 1AM EST, or after a certain amount of uptime. I've had no luck with the entries I've made into cron so far. ex. 0 1 * * * root reboot > /dev/null 2>&1 0 1 * * * /sbin/reboot If anybody can help me find a working cron reboot setup I'd be so very grateful! Hi everyone! I'm new to the pineapple, about one week new; and I've been having a lot of fun so far. Ive been going mad this evening however. I've be learning to use PineAP and once I start it up the Pineapple crashes within about 15 minutes max. I did some googleing and I haven't found anyone else with this issue. Additionally I've tried resetting to factory settings, but the issue persists. Really hoping someone can offer some advise.

All, When rebooting the mark 5 from the web console it states to give it some time to reboot. When will it reboot and will i need to log back in? The box continues to be on as though it has not rebooted. Help. F3rn.e

This is my first contribution as I am brand new to RubberDucky, This payload sets the syskey password and requires password on reboot. The password is sets is "quackdown" . After setting the password it will force a reboot resulting in a locked computer. This is just a prank and can be fixed with system restore or you can just disable the password requirement by running syskey again. Total execute time should be right at 25 seconds. ducky_code.txt inject.bin

Hell-Low H5 FolkZ @SF, Just got a new Turtle and waz playin around with it. Seems to be quite k3wL, but there are problems with the mac changer of the wan interface. 1st issue - it does not work - the interface goes down and does not come back (eth1). after manually /etc/init.d/network restart all worx fine (with static IP settings and faked mac 2 deploy device in an secured environment with mac binding). 2nd issue - how can i make the mac change persist a power cycle. I want to deply that tiny device in a secured environment with static ip settings and mac binding. So i will loose contact to the turtle after a power cycle. The scenario ist to drop the device @ a network with static IP settings and i must fake the mac of an registered device to be able to autossh out of the network. The fake mac and the static ip settings must persist a power cycle or the device is "lost". Any suggestions ? Maybe a tiny shell script ? but where to put (for persistance) ?

Hi there, First Let me say that this is a kick @ss device and still learning it. Thanks Hak5 team for making this lil booger. So I've had this pineapple for about a week now and I've run into a few issues. I'm posting each issue so they can be address individually. So randomly the device will reboot and them turn off and reboot over and over. Once this cycle starts, nothing can stop it other then doing a factory reset with the dip switches, so no logs. This is the third time this has happen and I decided to record the device doing its thing. ( ) You will see me plug it in and start the boot process blinking the blue light. after a good minute the device seems to power cycle and start booting up again. this will continue until I pull the plug.I'm also having issue with a TPlink TL-WN722N but I'll get to that in another post. Any Ideas?

Has anybody seem this error and then had a reboot? I'm only showing three here but there are a lot more during my logread -f command output. Seems to be pretty consistent. I get two or three clients connecting and then reboot. i started the tcpdump program from dip switches and it was working fine. I also made it sure by using ssh that the program is running and data is getting stored.But after sometime when i check the device the device has been rebooted and data starts to get stored from the beginning. What might be the reason for its sudden reboot

Hi Everyone, I'm having issues with my pineapple Mark V, as the tittle said, it reboots when Im connected to the management WiFi using my cellphone, and checking the clients connected (even if there isn't any), showing the "entropy bonny" to suddenly lit the red led and reinitiate. This happened with under the following escenario: Pineapple connected to RJ-45 configured with the new client mode to access internet Running Karma, PineAP, Beacon Response, Auto Harvester and SSLStrip. MicroSD Sandisk Ultra 32GB, also tested with the 2GB stock MicroSD. All the rest setting as default. My unsucessful attempt to troubleshoot this was execute the un-brick flashing process using the factory.bin firmware image, to later upgrade the firmware from the 2.0.4 version to the latest 2.3.0. Im currently running the 2.0.4 firmware on the Pineapple, as it seems to be more stable than the 2.3.0 firmware. If any further information is required, please do not hesitate to ask. Any advice or tip will be much appreciate to solve this will be much appreciated

What's up gang! OK, I call upon the wizards. I offer bandwidth to sacrifice! (Corny joke..) OK so here is the skinny: I have a computer at work. It's been a problem child since the opening (few years at least). Windows 7 32bit, Enterprise, on our server. It's been stuck on an update that I have officially ran out of options except a "Windows Repair". ** Security Update for WIndows 7 (KB2864202) ** - I've tried using Windows Update Troubleshooter. Nothing. - I've done SFC. Nothing. - I've tried installing VIA the stand-alone installer and downloading the update itself and installing. Nothing. - I've renamed the SoftwareDistribution folder to softwaredistribution.old. Nothing - I've ran chkdsk /f /r - Apparently the /f & the /r tags are DOA in windows 7..? at the time of writing this, I'm running a Defraggler scan , I read somewhere that sholves the issue. I've also seen a lot of articles referencing this update with Windows Vista (which is unsetling) Any thoughts?

Hey guys I'm having a frustrating time with my pineapple. It keeps rebooting especially when a client connects. I have all of the PineAP features enabled as well as urlsnarf and sslstrip. I tried using the power supply, the 6800 battery as well as the anker battery (both in 9 and 12v) as well connecting via wp5 and with the alpha (awus036neh). I tried swapping sd cards, changing the karma log from main to sd, installing infusions to both main and sd and still the same. I sometimes get it to be stable for a few hours but for the most part I keep getting reboots. Has anyone else experienced this? BTW using 2.0.3 and testing this on my own internal network with my own clients. Thanks. -
My pineapple crashes and reboots a lot. I'd like to figure out why. Common sense tells me to begin by sifting through something like a system log that might detail the events that led to each crash. The trouble is, when I look at the log available through the web interface after a crash, the first entry only begins 0:38 seconds after the reboot. No events are listed prior to it: Jan 1 01:00:38 Pineapple kern.info kernel: [ 30.720000] cfg80211: (start_freq - end_freq @ bandwidth), (max_antenna_gain, max_eirp) This makes it difficult to determine what precipitated the uncommanded reboot. How and where do I find log files that would detail events that are occurring prior to the uncommanded reboots? If the answer involves the Log Check infusion or the "custom tail" option, perhaps someone could steer me toward resources that might help in understanding how to use it? I really don't know where to begin.

Hello, I'd like to hide original pineapple mac addresses, even after a reboot. Of course, by defaut eth0, wlan0 and br-lan have the same mac address (00:13:37:A5:0F:01). So I added in /etc/init.d/network, in start() function : macchanger --mac=01:02:03:04:05:06 eth0 macchanger --mac=01:02:03:04:05:06 wlan0 ...where 01:02:03:04:05:06 is the new mac address I chose. At reboot, the eth0 and br-lan interfaces are well configured, with the 01:02:03:04:05:06 mac address. But the wlan0 interface keeps it's original mac address (00:13:37:A5:0F:01). :( So I tried to fix the wlan0 mac address in /etc/config/wireless, and I used : config wifi-device 'radio0' option type 'mac80211' option hwmode '11ng' option macaddr '01:02:03:04:05:06' [...] But after a reboot the wlan0 interface keeps it's original mac address (00:13:37:A5:0F:01), and in the file /etc/config/wireless new configurations were automatically added at the bottom : config wifi-device 'radio2' option type 'mac80211' option hwmode '11ng' option macaddr '00:13:37:A5:0F:01' [...] config wifi-iface option device 'radio2' [...] So, how to fix the mac address for wlan0, even after a reboot ? Hi Guys, Anyone know of a way to issue a reboot command to the ruber ducky from an application running from the host? or at last a way to tryger the payload execution... I'm working on an interface app that get autorun by the ruber ducky, provide a list of available payload, once you select the payload it rename payload1234.bin to inject.bin then reboot the key... Is that even possible? using OS eject only unmount it, it dosent cycle power... In DFU mode it restart after the firmware write so there must be a way... Thanks EDIT: I'm using the TwinDuck firmware
