  1. An "easy way" would be gotoassist.com... but that is the easy and more expensive way. If doing the walkthroughs from Google failed, I would be asking the same question.
  2. The inventor of the laptop died on September 10th, 2012. Sadly, the founder of Girls Gone Wild is still alive...
  3. Chip And Pin Weakness Exposed By Cambridge Researchers ≈ Packet Storm Last week (or two), I inquired for some information on Verifone (ie what number to use for setting up a local business). Now, I have heard of this crypto flaw, but to clone within minutes with the mark inside the same room... that is impressive.
  4. That's funny because all ten year old's need to know how to pick locks (shaking head in disapproval)... Although he is practicing for the next generation... you never know when a kids' heart is in the right place (wonder if his dad is in the VIllage) or how easily he can be persuaded to use that trick to impress others... not-a-so-good... free phone calls are a bit different than stealing physical merchandise; in my opinion...
  5. It is rare amongst non-drinkers and I keep the socket clean... showed my daughter and she nearly puked... (parent humor!)

  8. Got a molar yanked today... ouch... it sucks... that is all...
  9. isn't anything below LTE 3.9 G... thought I read that somewhere...
  10. I thought this would be a WIN in any scenario... Can I haz bike... probably... but, this is for school or something otherwise inside... Not sure if it is weather resistant... (tee hee tee hee) Battery Life = 5 years (two tops) Weather Resistant? = Yes

  12. Thank you... reading that helps me understand the flip side of the coin. She has something similar to ADD (So do I for that matter, :) ), and I know that a lot of my energy (especially now a days) are pushed towards bettering myself, as a person and as a professional. I know if I hear something that I am not interested in, I will not pick up certain "parts" of any given topic. I can understand his positioning more now. I took my meds, and helped her with her homework. Thank you, Sitwon. One more question... Am I helping her when I assist with her homework (using what I know, opposed to what the teacher actually explains), or am I just costing her points for doing it :The Old Way:...? I hope that question is formatted correctly, as my meds are kicked in pretty well at this point.
  13. Hey-row, I have a vizio blu ray player that has the wireless modem inside... Before I tore it apart and posted the poor things guts, I wanted to ask whether or not the modem inside is useless? I can't find any specs about the chipset or the modem... is there a reason why? Maybe this could be a good hack... VIZIO VBR100 BLU RAY
  14. Forgive me, hak5 forum, for I am about to rant... I watch my daughter do her homework. I always make sure she writes down what she reads for helping her remember what was discussed/read. Today, she gets home from school. I ask her to see her notes (beginning of new year... got to stay on top of it)... to have her say that her teacher said that saying it aloud is sufficient. Now, I do not know about you all, but I know I had one thing on my mind when I was in middle school... yup, it wasn't school work. So, assuming she was being lazy, I called her teacher... and he told me that "...listening helps remember more than writing..."... I am pretty fucking pissed... TWO SCENARIOS A : I was lied to my entire life and note taking only contributes to carpal tunnel B : He is setting her up for failure... What are your opinions? I am at an utter loss!
  15. ... OK... after hours of trying to config with the SMTP, the harden.py calls out an exception through the monitor. Am I supposed to use an encrypted password in the SMTP PW line? I thought I was getting somewhere, but I just can't get the artillery to launch properly. artillery~#sudo kwrite config edit, save, and exit artillery~#python artillery.py then I get this exception Unhandled exception in thread started by <function monitor_system at 0xb6fea4c4> then it follows up with .../harden.py", line 67m in <module> I guess I am not getting something... but have read it was not tested with Ubuntu 12.04... could it be a bug or am I just a moron?

  18. I always read that Teslas' Coil had needed less steady maintenance, it'd still be cool to run my house off a Tesla Coil...
  19. TWO THUMBS UP! (My daughter doesn't like knowing I can see her androids processes at any time...) No boys calling her without me knowing ;P
  20. As that may be, we may never know. But, if you feel very convicted about this, then by all means, don't let me/us tell you what to do. I find it admirable, but a lot of people out there are dealing with kids at home, wives cheating, hell, even having there job on the line everyday because of internet criminals. I don't enjoy destroying things, I enjoy improving things. Sure, I may not be an author of a bad ass http://www.attack-scanner.com, like Digip, but I do know integrity. We all live everyday to learn. Our perceptions and convictions are what make us, and if you are sincere that this is a serious breach of security (vital information, SS#, DoB, etc), then you will make the right decision. Good luck, and let em know Hak5 sent ya! lol... don't do that.. :) ..
  21. ...so simple... dammit... kicking myself in the ass... I will get fluent, but until then... mr-protocol has got my back! I owe a lot of people beer... If I am pimp, I am broke pimp...
  22. OK... I love linux... though I am still pretty wet behind my ears when it comes to certain functionalities. Here goes (swallowing pride), I recently obtained Project Artillery. I installed it, went to config it, but it is a read-only file. I assumed if I backed it up, it would work... wrong... So, I think it is hilarious that I can't seem to find the workaround. If I alter the name of the file, it won't be the proper config... right? DAMMIT... can someone tell me what the hell I am doing wrong? sudo apt-get install some sense into my mind.conf
  23. Man, you guys, once again, rock. I have been to your scanner site, and it looks phenomenal! One day, Uncle Digipetto, I will be a real boy!
