  1. HEADLINE 18®’ LOREM IPSUM DOLOR SIT AMET CONSECTETUER UNITED STATES In December 2010, the FCC published its final rules of utilizing white spaces for broadband access. As previously mentioned, white spaces are those broadcast channels that are left unused owing geographic restrictions, etc. Historically, some of these will have been used and may STILL be used, by broadcast ancillaries (assisting/auxiliary) such as wireless microphones, etc, but with this ruling the FCC has opened up the possibility (UPDATE:FCC APPROVED) of deploying local area wireless broadband access using technology similar to WiFi, hence some commentators have referred to these systems as "WiFi on steroids". In order to avoid interference with wireless microphones, this rule making also proposes to allocate two spare UHF broadcast channels solely for their use. This use of these UHF frequencies as opposed to more traditional and GHz WiFi bands is intended to increase the range and coverage of these systems, and thus provide broadband access to a wider population at a lower infrastructure cost. Also, in the United States, is a public safety service allocation at 769-775/799-805 MHz for narrowband operations and 763-768/793-805 MHz for broadband operations with guard bands between these at 768-769/798-799 MHz. END QUOTE Also, one more piece of the puzzle... for those who need to brush up a bit (like me) on receiver correlation. QUOTE: Theodorou, E.A. University of Cambridge, Dept. of Engineering, Cambridge, UK, VOL 127 - issue 4 Pgs. 199-208 ABSTRACT The correlation receiver detects a signal by comparing the input waveform, containing noise and interference with a reference waveform. This principle can be applied up to microwave frequencies (Ubertooth, ^_^ ) and we have detected a signal/noise ratio of ¿53dB in an input bandwidth of 1 GHz. This is far from the theoretical performance and improvement in components can reduce that limit much farther (Tech nowadays ) Did some homework. It is very informative. Will keep researching. Hope you guys will help me on this one. Got one other collaborator, and he does not have much time, having working full time (including Labor Day). He says it is doable, but I need some other heads to bump together on it! B) Three types of people in life; Pussies, assholes, and dicks.... lets all be a dick and kindly screw the pussies, but maybe fuck an asshole or two (metaphorically speaking, of course!)
  2. Hey-Row... Down to business. I am wanting to know more about using white spaces and how to decode their packets for use to traverse the ever-growing internet. I found a lot on how the UHF signals broadcast for television. My hypothesis is as follows: ANALOG SIGNAL (WHITE SPACE)---RECEIVER--ROUTER--PC. Is there a unit that acts as the UHF RECEIVER+ROUTER>USB 3.0=PC? I looked, but couldn't find anything that acts as a realtime receiver... Could Pineapple handle something like this? I want to collaborate on this project. In the drawing stage... but I need to MAKE this... I hope you guys know where I am coming from... being technophiles and all!!! IDEAS WELCOME... LETS DO IT!

    Halo 4

So that explains reticle bloom... but why would Halo 3 not have jetpacks, etc,? I know, its the same old loop... but still, Halo 3 > Halo Reach
  4. If one can find a vulnerability, some will always exploit it. A con artist "Renting" a house and showing the mark that there are others that are interested in it... create pressure to make the mark feel ...::hey, I better act fast;;.. same as an attack through an email. Make them feel I have to click, accept, etc. Most people here know to do their homework. I think programming is an art form in itself, and if ya Do Not Throw Away Sausage Pizza, then you are on the right track for a super saiyan like powers. (Pushing glasses up bridge of nose)
  5. Sounds like you should look at what is ports are established and if something is taking your signal and making it their signal... (jaws theme)
  6. Do I have to call the weird beer guy from fixya.com... not sure I want to call some dude that has a magic number... nooo.... sounds odd
  7. OK, got a challenge... (Besides the basics, I got dev access, blah blah blah) but I need to find a business for whom allows my client to make charge payments to. He owns a local shop and wants this damned Verifone installed. He tried getting Paypal pro... but they just gave him the run around. Whom else would provide the proper number to install the correct firmware for business transactions... HMMMM... wonder if someone can figure this one out...
  8. Analog frequencies with 400 - 800 mps short range. 80 mps long range... I am making a frigging USB ANTENNA!!!! I got my old analog antenna collecting dust... hmmm... GOING TO THE DRAWING BOARD... Stupid NBA (national broadcasters association) tried to block this... but the FCC sees this unused frequency, and, let's face it... it is OBAMA... SPEND SPEND SPEND... lol... either a turd sandwich or a douche bag, am I right, Hak5?
  9. Sowwy, i no click nawting... but, I did find this article. Ummm... guys... this is kind of, well, I FEEL very significant. It basically is using the frequency band that analog televisions used to use. Since the mandate to switch from analog to digital in 2009 (US only... not sure if this was done on a global scope), they have had these unused frequencies... BUT, the National Broadcast Association is NOT liking this. They propose that it would allow MORE people to access without paying their do's. Ummm... 400-Mps to 800 Mps short range... 80 Mps for long range... ummm... if it doesn't make me want to kill and eat brains... I am fricking ecstatic... Especially since I am kind of hip to analog frequencies!!!! OH MA GAWD MISTA KOTTER! (you wouldn't understand, kids)
  10. I like how you put that. I see your logic and I agree with you. I reported the issue to a friend of mine in Nashville, and he said what you said. But, to add an admin to any given server, it needs to reset its root, right? Maybe I am being overly cautious, but hey, it beats the hell out of getting my information stolen (if it hasn't already :[). Thanks, bobby, you get the metaphorical cookie! It is macademia nut with white chocolate!
  11. Normally, I would think that... but I checked the scripts... the cache was not from the Vudu.com server... this was verified on the phone. The lady said she had worked there for years and never has had that issue. I was frankly upset... I have spent A LOT of money through there UV service. But, as I was telling her of the issue, she said that there servers were down. Now, unless I am a person that leaves all coincidences at the door, I would agree, "Hey, it is just a false positive."... but the fact the servers were acting strange and that they "reset themselves", as the lady put it, is a great cause for alarm. Recreate my lab, bobby, I wonder if you will see the faults in the js as I did...
  12. Want to take a shower in KFC gravy

  13. Hey-row Hak5... I came across a phone a friend of mine had no use for. He actually wanted to put it in a microwave in his backyard. I decided, what the hell, why not save this poor excuse of a phone and mod it a bit. I was under the impression it was an android... but... *GASP* BrewMP... Now, I have a bit of 'droid experience, but I HAZ NO CLUE about BrewMP... what is it and can I /root it? I don't want to look at the source code... but hey, I guess it is worth a try... can you guys save me the hassle?
  14. ... is it bad that I am stoked for this... ?
  15. I pulled that info from a blog with someone having a similar problem, that wasn't from my build... my build is the latest build, your build, 1488.... I am pretty upset you can't behold great toolset. When all else fails, ask the programmer... right?
  16. Guess not very many people remember there first hack... but than again... tech was much simpler in those days...
  17. It has been a dogs age (2 dogs as a matter of fact) since I attempted this. I am not sure if they are ALL updated, but I know a lot of them are probably out there. My phreak box has been lost a long time ago in the 8 times I have moved since my phreak days. Get a book... not going to tell you the name (I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INFORMATION THIS BOOK MAY OR MAY NOT CONTAIN)... but a contributor by the name of Mr. Rogers... he was a Jolly good fella, agreed? Do you have a box setup? My phreak days ended when cell phones became the norm... but I saved a small fortune when my pager was "blowing up"... 269***2278911911
  18. Hey-Row HAK5... As I am sure you heard, Apple won it's patent dispute with Samsung... for now... apparently, Samsung is counter suing Apple for 4G LTE rights.... wow. What a bunch of crap. 0day software releases and Apple is worried about a stupid patent? "NO NO NO", says the Apple exec... "The SMS issue is being dealt with by the boys at the lab."... so the consumer remains vulnerable... ay ay ay... what are your opinions?
  19. Awesome! Glad it worked out for ya... I bricked a cell phone with a segment fault from the software... oops si daisy!
  20. and also I agree with digip... there is no need to put the modem inside your PC casing. For instance, if you place your wireless router behind a microwave (or even TV for that matter), say goodbye to your signal! It sounds like more of a hassle than what it'd be worth...
  21. Smells like someone needs to brush up on some A+... JK :)~.... If you are running ANY sensitive electronic in a room full of dust, dog hair, etc... you should NEVER EVER leave the core components exposed. And for ESD (Electrical Static Discharge if I remember correctly... been a while since my A+), just touching a chip can completely fry your components. Get a strap from your local mom and pop computer store; to help kill the corporate beast; and wrap your wrist and find an adequate grounding source. As for the SMAs, Google some documentation on the product. I found A TON just by asking Google. BEST O LUCK! REMEMBER, ESD is your motherboards WORST ENEMY (next to overclocking old processors via CMOS switches and watching them fry themselves = WIN)
  22. Well, I am sorry (no offense to you na1), but I do not click links... but I believe you are having problems... /pentest/exploits/set# ./set-update Updating the Social-Engineer Toolkit, be patient... G config/set_config U src/smtp/client/smtp_web.py U src/smtp/client/smtp_client.py U src/main/version U src/html/spawn.py U src/html/clientside/gen_payload.py U src/html/web_server.py U readme/CHANGES U readme/CREDITS Updated to revision 525. The updating has finished, returning to main menu.. Does this help? Do you have Ubuntu as your primary OS? Windows is so damned buggy when it comes to VM-ing Linux. The structure of Windows is mental. I have been getting into Linux for just about a year now and feel that Microsoft really does just metaphorically rape its' consumers; all with YOU paying for dinner. Ubuntu takes it nice and slow, whispers sweet nothings into your ear;but when it wants to get freaky, you don't need to pay for her services (very bad metaphor but I think it illustrates my point). LAST CASE SCENARIO... reinstall the VM to a linux distro, then reinstall backtrack 5.
  23. If I were anyone who uses this service... it is not good... Won't get into what could happen... but Kris Kross would be the group to be listening to!
  24. wow... after further analysis of my budget... maybe someone could sneak me in... Holy Top Dollar Batman... I got to feed my kids!
