  1. Cigars, I don't claim to be a connoisseur or anything. I prefer milder cigars personally and rather like Vanilla flavoured / tipped ones. I was also reccently given a pack of White Owl Invincible’s which are very nice
  2. Psychosis is right FYI http://php.net/manual/en/function.sizeof.php
  3. Sigh, VaKo makes me want some Jelly Beans now.

    bye Matt

I don't know anyone by name... I use my own method of nicknaming each member of the team, so I know not of this "Matt" prehaps you mean "VM Man" ? Matt will be missed, I enjoyed his business related topics as they relate to what I'm doing IRL. I have little interest for Wifi stealing / hacking other than "Wifi isn't very secure" :(
  5. Well, my home server died back in September and I had a budget similar to yours. I wanted to run XenServer and lucikly I found this blog http://www.xenappblog.com/2009/build-a-che...-your-home-lab/ It took the headache of buying something that may not be compatible with XenServer away. I upgraded the disk size and also went with a Corsair Power supply (little things I wanted that bumped the price up)
  6. I saw the film the other day, also spotted the poster and chuckled. I guessed that's where the show got the phrase from?
  7. I can't take credit for FOG :P I first heard of it in this thread http://hak5.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=14889&hl=, You might also like to have a glance at a thread I created (to do with PXE booting) http://hak5.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=14947&hl=
  8. Just a word of warning Darren, be careful on your trip to and from Holyhead. The roads (if sunny) will be great for Biking, however there is a large police presence throughout North Wales... a member of this forum who lives in Wales recently had to attend a speed awareness course ;)
  9. Sorry :P Reading does help. Depends how OTT you want to go with this. I'm thinking of doing something with FOG, more so re-imaging my systems rather than recovering (I use document redirection so all my documents are backed up / stored elsewhere)
  10. Have you tried Hiren's boot disc?
  11. Pretty neat script, I remember the first time I ever had to use the remote registry feature on a Server to edit the fDenyTSConnections, I tell you nothing is more fun than running "Shutdown" commands from a server command prompt

    Hacking WoW

Hay! I madz this pro WoW gold hax! WoW OMGZ Gold Hax
  13. Heh, prehaps my prices are way off (I did quote 2003 not 2008) but still from memory I am sure SBS was aprox half the cost of standard.
  14. For 2-10 machines you wouldn't use Server 2003 you'd use Small Business Server
  15. Hehe I have no rationale for prompoting AD. I am a Windows boy, I run a domain in my home (lol) I tried running SAMBA once and it just didn’t work for me, prehaps Linux has improved since those days. For me looking at it objectively an entry level Dell server with SBS OEM is around £700. SBS on its own can be purchased for £400.
  16. I don't really agree, I've always found AD very useful no matter what size organisation. Prehaps you are right in what you are saying, 50% maybe more like 80% of the AD potential is not used by smaller groups. As for the OP, I would look at purchasing Small Business Server it really is an "out of box" product.
  17. Laptops are easier to sell on second hand (IMO).
  18. As much as I think you're right... UML makes MRGRIM sad :(
  19. I need to reinstall windows on my IBM X41 Tablet, I bought it second hand and as a result it came with a CoA but no XP media. I am downloading an ISO atm, but its coming of bit torrent so I'm less than trusting about its source. Would anyone happen to have an ISO I could copy off them (or know of somewhere I could buy an OEM copy [just the disk])? Regards
  20. I've skim read the last few posts and may have missed something. It's generally not recommended to have your "local" domain setup as .com, .net e.t.c. I'm not sure about Windows 7 but I remember doing something similar to this with SBS 2003 and XP. On my XP Client I needed to change my lmhosts and host files. I've got to ask, but why would he want to join an "online" / "public" domain, this kind of defeats the point of having a domain (imo)
  21. I'd say you'd either need to code a front end yourself or download one of the many Jukebox interfaces provided online that lock down your system for you. Apart from that there shouldn't be that much to it.
  22. Sounds like DNS isn't working right on that system. I have no idea about RSAT. But I'd run DCPROMO again on that system, google online for DC setup tutorial's you should be able to find some check list style guides, it is very important that before you run dcpromo that you have DNS working correctly.
