  1. We also put a little something extra in all the bags as a thanks for your patience. You should have received an email from us about the two challenge coins and sticker packs. The packing party & like stream was fun, if not a little exhausting. By Friday every single backorder and every order from the week had gone out. We're all caught up! Check your tracking and enjoy :-)
  2. For the Elite kit battery: 1. Plug the charger into a wall outlet. 2. Plug the battery into the charger 3. Turn the battery on so that the batteries LED is lit 4. Wait for the chargers LED to go from Red to Green (or off)
  3. I just like bananas. Nice speculating though.
  4. I was impressed by the old 4 hour pineapple juices, but once I started testing the current crop of samples from our new guys.... OMG these 12v suckers go for days. Literally.
  5. TL;DR: It went out today. You ordered on the 16th, right before we went to Toorcon so it didn't get processed until we returned on the 22nd. Really sorry about that - we're a pretty small team. Then when we got back all of the USPS order labels were printed, which kicks off the email to you with tracking information. We did this because we anticipated the travel bags being in on the 25th. In addition to the labels the system prints out a scan form, which is a big bar code that contains the tracking info for the entire batch so the post office can accept everything more easily. If we don't do it this way they won't individually scan 'em in and the tracking won't update at all. Since some of the batch were for travel kits which we couldn't ship yet the batch was incomplete and as such the scan form - which can't be split - became useless. This sucks because if anything gets lost that hasn't been scanned we don't have any visibility into it, have a harder time sending a replacement and don't get backed by insurance. It took us a couple extra days to get that sorted out but now everything has finally gone out that had been waiting. We're getting caught up and there aren't any conferences or other scenarios on the horizon that could delay orders now. Travel kits come in on Thursday and we're pre-packing anything that includes one so that it'll all go out Thursday or Friday of this week - then we're back on our game. Fridays orders are going out tonight. We're here until everything ships.
  6. We're working night and day to get all the orders out. The email that went out today was only to customers whose order was held up as we await shipment from our bag vendor for the travel bundle. We really appreciate all of your warm wishes, support and patience. We're working very hard to get everything out in 1-2 business days. Because of Toorcon that became 3-4 but we're almost all caught up now. Everything USPS went out today and we're here 'till midnight making sure we're completely squared away this week. The first step in the order process is to print the shipping label, which automatically kicks off an email to you with the tracking #. It still may be a day or two before that label makes its way to your personal pineapple - which Sara then gives a smooch for good luck and pats on the head. It's all a very scientific process really.
  7. Gah! Pineapples come to us in cartons from our factory. We then process them by including the manual, stickers and firmware card. Give this is a completely new process for us over the MK4s we didn't have it spot on with the first batch and I know one or two of these went out. My sincere apology. Email shop@hak5.org and Shannon or Sara will get it out to you with the quickness. From now on when we process the cartons each pineapple "gets its papers" at what we're lovingly calling the "pineapple immigration station"
  8. Email shop@hak5.org with your order number and we'll look it up. I just found out a batch was accepted by USPS without proper processing. Typically they scan every package, but if the person at the counter forgets to it won't update the tracking system until it's delivered. We're making sure they do 'em all now.
  9. Yes there is in fact over charge protection. Our manufacturer just re-confirmed with me. We spent extra to get a good single PCB for the entire unit rather than the small cheap protection circuits typically found in each individual cell. The only downside to leaving it on the charger for an extended period is that it may reduce the number of recharges you get out of it.
  10. Wow. This is really good to know. Would it be possible to get a pic of the invoice they gave you? I have a meeting with UPS tomorrow and I'm very unhappy about 'em gouging you guys. VAT is one thing but 70 - that's insane.
  11. Thanks for the heads up. I'm re-evaluating our options. Aside from EMS (Post) is there a carrier preference among the international crowd?
  12. My deepest apologies. We were informed by our bag manufacturer that we would have units in on the 25th. Now looking at UPS tracking we're not getting them until this Thursday. You and the others whose orders are held up will be receiving an email later today detailing the situation and what we're doing to make things right. We've started prepping these orders so that as soon as the part comes in they will go out same or next day - which includes printing the shipping label which is why you got an email with the tracking info. I know this isn't an ideal situation and neither of us are happy about it. I can only ask for your continued patience and support. We're taking every step possible towards ensuring your order and orders going forward ship complete in a timely manner. Stay tuned, we'll be emailing you shortly.
  13. 1.0 looked good with the antennas close together, but RF testing taught us a valuable lesson on diversity :-D *snicker*
  14. For voiding your warranty. Seriously don't hook into those bad boys with your pineapple powered on. That's some serious easter egg action. /not joking
  15. Way better than the MK3 v1.0.0 factory reset bug that rm'd /etc/config/* before copying the backup from the same directory... Oh, wait... :-) #perspective #humble
  16. We will eventually have adapters in the store - just a matter of time with all the moving parts at the moment. The SMA connectors on the MK5 are leaps and bounds ahead of the pigtail on the MK4. If you have both do a little benchmarking and you'll be delighted, even with stock antennas.
  17. It's your call. If the PSU is in fact faulty we'll replace it. We went the extra kilometer to make it robust and international so there shouldn't be problems with it. Hope it's just a fluke.
  18. Oh man, that's a new one! Keep us updated! 4 screws on the bottom under the rubber feet.
  19. I spoke to Mike Ossmann about this at Toorcon and he said it was down to getting GNURadio on the device. Would be fascinating to see the two together.
  20. Contact us at the Hakshop and we'll get you sorted. Really sorry about the inconvenience. I feel obliged to head south for some real world experience. So, Sydney or Melbourne?

  22. We're dealing with a very unfortunate delay from our manufacturer that has put us in an unfavorable position. I assure you everyone that orders the travel kit will receive their units and as you may know from past experience we take customer service expecially important at Hak5. We will make this unfortunate delay right. Stay tuned. If you purchased a travel kit and haven't received your shipment you will be getting an email Monday. I was just informed that the bags will be here on Thursday and we have made every preparation to get them out same or next day.
