  1. Can you please also post the contents of /etc/config/network and /etc/config/wireless please? Configuration > Advanced > Execute Commands: "cat /etc/config/*" (without quotes)
  2. Didn't know that about the Canadian post. Will update to offer it in the great white North.
  3. TL;DR: Our mistake. Shipping to Portugal is now half what it was showing up as. We're fixing this for all other countries now... Thanks for the heads up. I've looked into it and it seems as though the UPS API in our shopping cart doesn't query our negotiated rates. That's fine since we simply update it with a percentage modifier. Typically for international orders we get 50% off the regular price. Unfortunately it's not showing that for UPS Worldwide Expedited - which is your best bet. Not sure why UPS Worldwide Saver is actually more expensive (someone at UPS should reconsider the name). I've gone ahead and manually added weight based shipping rates to Portugal which bring the cost down from 63.16 to 37.91 - almost half the cost. Also to put that in perspective USPS -- the government-based mail service that turns it over to your government-based mail service at the border and who is more likely to lose the package, charge hella extra or hold it at the border for a week while customs officials play floor hockey with it -- is more expensive at 40.55. Getting UPS, which is far faster and reliable, to give us rates lower than USPS is kinda huge. Shannon will be going through every country and verifying that we have the lowest rates possible, manually adding weight based rates where necessary.
  4. It's a tough call when you're trying to add so much and yet stick with the same price point. I'm sure an adapter cable will be suitable for most installations.
  5. Also it's costly and slower to make firmware changes at the factory since they come in batches. With a micro SD card based stager we can always ship the latest version.
  6. If only there were a video series on pineapple usage. a school of sorts from 101 to advanced tactics. ;)
  7. Passive PoE will work. https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10759
  8. Actually you're absolutely right about Slovakia. I'm not sure how that ended up on the list. Looking at the CCL there's no reason for this. I'm rechecking all EU nations now. Sorry for the inconvenience! You know how I feel about borders and the human tribe (packets not passports!) - I just have a healthy respect for my (currently shut down) government and as such err on the side of caution quite frequently.
  9. I've looked into both of the OP's links before and while an awesome flexing of computing abilities I have to agree with barry here. The WiFi Pineapple is the perfect inexpensive pentest pivot box - meaning you'll be able to use it *with* metasploit. Remember there are plenty of meterpreter options now that we have the storage for python, etc.
  10. The devices haven't changed - the vendors have. The MK4 still does in 2013 what it did in 2011, it's just that the landscape has changed. We're responding with the next trick up our sleeves. It's a game of cat and mouse. Perhaps more like a game of chess in fact. We want you to be happy with your purchase and will do everything we can to enhance the capabilities of the platforms where possible - but keep in mind we're a small outfit up against giants. The HakShop props up Hak5, which provides free hacker education to this community. It couldn't survive without this direct support and as such we aren't in a position (as much as I wish we were) to offer a trade in program. If you are within the warranty/return period we will of course honor this. Part of the new hardware possibilities are the second radio. A similar attack could be pulled off with a MK4 + Alfa. Unfortunately there are nations we are prohibited from shipping to. As much as I believe in one world and the human race as equal, I am beholden to my own government - just as much as you are yours. Email shop@hak5.org and hopefully we can help but I can't make any guarantees.
  11. As you might imagine there are a lot of parts in motion right now as we ramp up with the MK5. Unfortunately our bag vendor wasn't able to get all of the units in for launch. Rather than hold up your entire order we opted for the more costly (to us) route of shipping everything we do have on hand now - then shipping your Travel Upgrade out next week. I know everyone is excited to start playing with the MK5 and we didn't want to "punish" you by holding up your entire order for the upgrade.
  12. Missing manual from launch event? https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/30511-missing-manual-or-firmware-card-from-saturday-launch-event/
  13. Darknet access tokens from Hack Across America.
  14. Hacker answer: Yes* Guy who sells lithium based battery packs to an international audience answer: The charger that comes with the pineapple juice is special in that it will perform a 2-phase smart charge where it goes full on for the first 90% then slowly trickles the rest... *don't set fire to your house by doing this** **No, seriously.
  15. The WiFi Pineapple Mark V ship with an international power supply. The Mark V will be provided with 12V DC from the AC adapter configurable for UK, EU, US and AU markets. The Pineapple Juice battery packs also provide the Mark V with 12V DC, however their charger is an AC adapter configured for the US and will require an adapter for other markets. In the future we may have these adapters as part of the kit depending on the ordering country.
  16. Thank you. All of this didn't happen overnight and couldn't have happened without this great community and our hearts are warmed to be serving it - and finally being able to show what we've been working so tirelessly on.
  17. 1. Yes, they will. The first priority is filling orders for the kits but at which time that we're all caught up and have a constant supply from our vendors we will have independent battery upgrade options - including a smaller inexpensive ~12 hour pack all the way up to stackable ~72 hour packs. 2. Yes, the larger battery will fit in the current soft travel case.

  20. We got rid of the MMCX pigtail and went with SMA soldered right onto the board. There were reports of some flaky connectors with the MK4 that this solves. A conversation with Mike Ossmann regarding signals and the Hack RF (which also went with SMA over RP-SMA) led to this decision. If you have existing RP-SMA gear it should be adaptable no problem.
  21. The radios are implemented on the board in such a manner that they'll actually take advantage of the connector change. I think it's worth it for the high gain. Can't wait to show you guys distance benchmarks between IV and V - even with just the stock antennas!
  22. Guys we're so sorry this shouldn't have happened. We'll be sending you the missing items asap. Please contact shop@hak5.org and see https://forums.hak5.org/index.php?/topic/30511-missing-manual-or-firmware-card-from-saturday-launch-event/
  23. There was a mixup in the frenzy that was packing for the event Saturday night and a few boxes got out without the required manual, stickers and more notably the firmware card / micro sd card! Seb will be posting the firmware shortly so you can download and get up and running immediately - but we absolutely owe you these things proper. Thankfully you're likely local. We'll make it right and get these things out to you immediately. Please contact us at shop@hak5.org and Sara will make sure you've got the goodies you were missing, + extras & our sincerest apologies. This does not affect Mark V units being shipped out. We have updated our packing and storage process to triple check. Thanks again for your support and patience.
  24. Yes, we're keeping up. Made sure of it. We have the inventory coming in on a regular basis from our factory. The biggest challenge at this point is keeping the The landscape changes and we adapt. The new hardware opens a world of possibilities for more advanced attacks. We'll be getting into it more on the live stream Wednesday and we want everyone to be a part of this next generation. It is an 1120. Way more rugged than the 1050 and fits batteries galore... See below: That's a conservative number. Run your own benchmarks. I spent a lot of time researching and testing batteries from multiple vendors and am finally very happy with our new partner. These 12v bricks are fantastic. I did the tests 3 times on each and averaged because at first I didn't believe the results. Each time with the pineapple doing more and more stressful tasks - constantly calculating Pi and rx/tx over eth and wlan. Both amazed at the runtime of the batts and stability of the mk5 hardware. I think you'll be pleased.
