  1. What websites do you use for running online firewall testing, just curious that's all.
  2. Cisco makes great networking gears. I miss the old days when, I was in the computer lab at my UNI configuring routers and switches, as part of my CCNA certification course.
  3. I am actually 23 and I think I know exactly what do you mean. I did experiencing drinking before and to be honest I am not much into it all. But you did make a very good point and I appreciate that.
  4. Never heard of this one, will take a look a bit later, when I get back home from work. Thanks for the response much appreciated.
  5. Quick question did you watch some of those videos, where Darren showed how to bypass schools firewall, and how to tunnel traffic through SSH and all that. I think these links would be a good starting point for you. http://www.hak5.org/episodes/episode-614 http://www.hak5.org/episodes/episode-612 http://www.hak5.org/episodes/episode-504
  6. I have never set up an iphone with openvpn before, so I can't give you a definitive answer on that one. But you could try using IPSec, I don't see why it wouldn't work.
  7. Where I live people only think of drinking and that's the only thing they seem to care about. Everything they talk about is lets go to a pub, or is there a pub around the corner. I mean there are obviously other things you can do and you can enjoy yourself with, without thinking of beer. I mean this is just how I perceive things from where I live. I guess it's part of the culture but anyway never-mind.
  8. Unless the laptop is really old, I would rip the camera from it and make some mods.
  9. Nice, thank you for making the WiKi available again.
  10. Liked the hak5 logo one. Great job!
  11. Sorry forgot to mention that one? Thanks for letting me know.
  12. You could create a "Web Forward" within OpenVPN ALS and when prompted to select a Web Forward Type, select the second option "Create Forward Specific" and enter the local ip address of your apache webserver. That should allow you access other lan resources through port 443 as well. Or you could use port 80 for http traffic and 443 for all the vpn stuff.
  13. Or even better with Apache, PHP and phproxy you will be able to bypass any school firewall restriction.
  14. I found this forums on how to configure openvpn with iphone, hope it helps. http://www.iphonealley.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1332 http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-repli...fm/1110598.html Thanks.
  15. Have you tried using openVPN with a non-jailbroken iphone before? If yes, is it giving any error messages, or is it freezing up or? Or it doesn't give you the options to configure VPN? Sorry I am just trying to figure out, what is happening?
  16. I understand that, viruses and worms are getting very sneakier nowadays, no matter what you should once a week scan your whole machine. Just to be on the safe side. Or alternatively you could consider another antivirus.
  17. Hi ChrisUnder, I would definetly recommend OpenVPN, Darren did a segment on that how to install. You can alternatively download the software from the link below. http://www.openvpn.net/, it currently allows 2 concurrent connections, but if you wish to have more, you will have to buy licenses which should cost around $10 dollars or less. Its a lot cheaper than Microsoft licenses. Let me know how you go
  18. Awesome, I will check it out later.
  19. I thought you were going to provide links to various dictionary files. But since its a single file, should be good enough. Thanks dude, really appreciate.
  20. Damn we are all doomed, no matter what we do to secure ourselves there's always a way around it.
  21. Fair enough, as long as it makes you happy that's all that matters.
  22. I guess the problem with that software is, it needs to be installed on the computer first. Before it can be used to locate the laptop. I don't think the OP has it installed either. Apart from that it seems to be really good piece of software.
