  1. If you are trying to learn Linux better and it's CLI, I would recommend Unix power tools book, or learn more about Bash, shell scripting, and how to esclate priviledges. I would also recommend to try hacking challenges that a lot of sites offer (wish this one did) but like Hackthissite.org, SANS Netwars, DC3.mil forensics challenges, ect.. they are great for learning. For me I cant just read a book and know everything, I learn kinecticly by practicing.. hope that helps.
  2. Cool edit, Audacity, ect.. are all old school, go with Steinberg Nuendo, or Pro Tools. I know professional recording artist that use that, I also use it too for recording. If you are serious about music I recommend this http://cgi.ebay.com/M-AUDIO-DELTA-66-PCI-INTERFACE-NEW-DELTA66-MAUDIO-/130468009969?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e607fd7f1 You will never blow your sound card (it also has phantom power), I had a pro studio setup and yelled as loud as possible threw a studio mic, I probuly sound like a commercial for M-audio but the delta-66 is great..
  3. These are the size plugins I use I dunno what they are called .. You may need a adapter to convert the left & right 3.5mm PC audio cords into a size cord like in the pic above, then it should play threw the Amp then to your speakers. If you are really into music though I would ask Santa for a M-Audio delta series audio card. edit:: that is also a bad picture, I recommend the gold ones for better quality, the one pictured is a generic cord
  4. Propellerhead Reason will do this or Pro Tools, but you will probuly need a special hardware piece I used a M-Audio delta 66 for recording, can hook up a Mic, Guitar, ect.. Steinburg Nuendo is good also. You can even use FL Studio or Reason to make drum beat patterns to record your guitar over.

    Script Issues

well.. the error is saying the there is a unexpected file ending, so my first guess is that it was not closed properly. I found an article that may help you http://www.computing.net/answers/linux/bash-script-unexpected-end-of-file/27450.html
  6. There should be one big torrent with all of the episodes, that's not illegal right? Good information has to be kept alive.

    Script Issues

Very nice! That is one of the things I hate about code is if even one little mistake is made like a space in the wrong area or something it does not work.. could not tell you about bash shell scripting language (smh..) I should, but dont want to say anything false. My best guess would be right here "./tekzilla.sh: line 145: syntax error: unexpected end of file" start with line 145
  8. Future hacker in progress, stripper pole is awesome.
  9. If he is cracking your WIFI that means he is close by your house, just go out there and kick his ass and tell him to stop fucking with your computer.

    Facebook Hacked

Change all of your passwords asap, to something 16 characters or more that contains a mix of numbers, letters & symbols, but format your computer first. Make a extra windows account which is not your root account and then create a virtualbox inside your user account to run all questionable downloaded files and to play on facebook.. but even then you are not completely safe. *evil laugh muahahahahaha* j/k or you could set up some kind of sniffer or turn your current box into a honeypot so next time he hacks your computer you can log everything he is doing and see how it is being done to stop it.
  11. Untangle I think requires a whole box to be the firewall, correct or no?
  12. Actully, I found it on here.. the source code that is, you can find the post in the everything else section.

    Tron: Evolution

Yeah, I am waiting for the movie in 3D on the 17th. The game .. ehhhh.. not sure I may rent it first.
  14. I will stick with TrueCrypt. Source code is always good though, thanks.
  15. I had a problem like that the other day, someone had a win 7 computer that would not boot right, it would go to the windows logo then reboot everytime. I put in Ubuntu Live CD for tests and did the the disk utility thing and showed there were hd disc errors, googled and another option i think is "Fsck -f" in Bash, did ram checks and everything, ended up just getting all the important data backing it up to external drive and reformatting with win7 again, then everything worked great. If you are lucky you can hit F8 while booting and try booting to command line and do a chkdsk if the original OS is windows.
  16. It would be a lot easier to just use free web hosting sites to be a mirror, I seen on TPB the files are not that big in size except for the insurance file is around 1.5GB, could use megaupload, filedump or something like that linked to the free web hosted site via tinyurl.. but yeah like the others said it maybe illegal to share some of those documents.
  17. Easy.. http://cgi.ebay.com/USMC-Marine-DCU-CamelBak-MotherLode-Hydration-BackPack-/350419912689?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5196a787f1 USMC DCU Camelbak hydration backback.. this thing will carry all of that stuff and have extra room, built to withstand any weather condition and even has a easy to access tube to drink out of. Cool camo design.
  18. Debian is suppose to be good for security as a server OS, I guess it depends on what you want to do, the possibility's are up to your creativity. If you want to generate extra money from ad's like adsense, I would recommend seeing what keywords generate the most cost per click first. I had one site that only got like .20 cents a click, then another using different main keywords and got like $8 a click for a while.
  19. Yeah I just posted a thread about this, I want a copy of the source code to the app they are using :)
  20. I have been reading online about Anonymous and them putting a open source code online for the w1k1 thing, I am interested in looking at the source code anyone have a link? PM is good.. thanks! EDIT::: Nevermind I found it, I guess I can not delete my own post?

    Which One To Buy

The first one looks better imo, I like the alfa AP's, also it is good to have the external antenna incase you want to upgrade it for better signal strength.
  22. Personally, I prefer a desktop for everything unless I am on the go somewhere then the laptop kicks in.. I like something with long battery life and something that you can see the screen in bright lights and such and do not get a glare on the screen. My last laptop only got like 2 hours of battery life and it sucks having to recharge it all the time. The I-pads are looking nice I think they get like 8 to 10 hours battery life and you can even read ebooks or watch movies at the beach or road trip with no glare. It is all about preference though.
  23. McDonald's has free open wi-fi, I think that if you just leave it open but make sure everything behind the scenes is secured, then they should be allright correct or no? Giving each customer that walks into the small resteraunt a username & PW sounds like a hassle. Keep the main data pc with important information off line, then have a seperate one just for the free wifi so even if they do manage to get threw your firewall and all that and root your wifi box their will be nothing important on there, if a hacker comes in and deleted the HD on your wifi box just use Norton ghost or something to put the box back to the way it was and fix however they got in to break the free public wifi, but I seriously doubt a hacker would attack and kill a free wifi spot unless they were really a douche.
