You could always just find a torrent version of Win 7 Ultimate 64bit version somewhere and install VMware to run all of the other OS to try out and see which one you like the best, but yeah Win server I think would not be worth installing unless you have multiple boxes that you want to set up a network with.. or you could even install VMware ESXi for building a test home network. Be careful with torrents though it maybe illegal and/or contain virii.

@DigiP - I looked at both and do not think that is what I am talking about but a cool read though. @Infiltrator - Ok, I found another example of what I am talking about and print screened it, before the link I seen had a .com though instead of a .tk like in the pic. I have read a lot about the release of firefox 4 but am not sure if I upgrade to it, if my current plugins will still work with 4.. does anyone know? I use live http headers, firebug, tamperdata, bugmenot, no script, leetkey, user agent switcher, and better privacy.. oh and if you have any other good plugin suggestions that would be cool also.

@DigiP - I was looking into win character map and noticed they have (uni-codes?) for each symbol like U+0238 or something simuliar to that, I remember when I used to make ascii art I would use alt+a # to create a char like ╙ on the char map is the u+# the same as alt+# to create the character wanted? I was watching a youtube video and seen someone put a link in their comment, a direct text link that looked like WWW.WHATEVER.COM but it looked like it was in a different font. I have tried before to put a link in a youtube comment but it says "error" and I know I could add spaces in the link but was wondering how this guy posted one that looked proper. Any ideas how he did this? maybe tamperdata plugin or something?

A lot of times it can be undetected, I have used my pc as a honeypot many of times and just had it pumped full of hackers and virii for the fun lol then I can look and see how they are attacking my pc. Very good post man.

I have never used Proxmox yet, so I am not sure on the cores. I am just speaking of using VirtualBox for Linux, I have a dual core and was told on IRC that you have to have a special setting in BIOS which a lot of the newer Pc's have to enable dual core VM simulation. Not sure about the product key thing but you can try it out :) as for quad core.. please let me know if you can get all of those working and remember to keep some room for your main os.

Everything else looks good, but if you are using VM 4-6GB of RAM may not do what it used to, you may need like 8GB depending on what you are doing or how many VM's you have open at once. 4-6 may be current but in a couple years will be out of date, I would dish out more money on that part. Also VirtualMachine for linux only supports up to 2 cores of cpu and that is if you have that setting in your BIOS.

I think it depends what you want to keep as your main OS, with Win I would say VMware, with Linux it is free so VirtualBox. I just set up one on a VMware bridged connection that works but need to perfect it a lil' more. So think to yourself which OS do you want your main system to run on, Windows or Linux. I chose Windows because of the apps I need to use daily that Linux does not have as good or not have at all.

I am new to IP6, does anyone have good ideas or tutorials and such on switching from IP4 to IP version 6? Is there a calculator that you can type your IP4 on and then it translates it to IP6, how do you setup your home network on IP6? is it more secure? Yeah, I could probuly google each question, but I would rather have Hak5 results show up on the google search as number one.
