  1. The New EEE PC (The one I've got) no longer requires side scrolling to view web pages. It has a resolution of 1280x600.
  2. You joined a year ago, but I joined all of three weeks ago and have more posts than you :P .
  3. I don't have any room. its filled with my computer screen, speakers, keyboard, printer, joystick, iPod, mouse (and mouse charger) and a whole load of crap that I should probably tidy away (read: throw away) sometime. Also danged vista doesn't recognise my really old webcam that was from the Windows 98 (SE) days. Can't blame Vista really...
  4. Mine is worth $5365 . Apparently age is a factor....
  5. I recently ordered the Asus EEE PC (900), its gonna be arriving soon, I will tell you then what my opinion on that one is when I get it (in a week or two when stock arrives). First thing I am going to do when I get it is switch the OS on the SSD with the Ubuntu distro for EEE PCs (called EEEXubuntu).
  6. I thought I explained in quite alot of detail (I have quoted my post above) how a 'space pen' works in space. Making this post: a bit unnecessary
  7. Yer, the banner is kinda stretched and... not very good...
  8. Old news (the maze) most people have seen it... I don't even tense anymore... (I never screamed or stuff like that when I 'finished' the maze, but I did tense up for a few seconds, especially with the sound on, but now, I don't even get that, wheres the thrill....)
  9. shame there isn't a site like that for Palm...
  10. Google always brings out the best in stuff...
  11. I have wondered what that was for... its been around for a few months by my reconning...
  12. Normal Biros (and believe it or not, the almighty Bic) require gravity to allow the ink to touch the roller ball so that ink can reach paper (mainly due to the open end of the ink 'cartridge')... the special 'Space' pens work in space because the ink is in a vaccuum sealed container filled to the brim with ink, that way, when any ink comes out at first use, the pressure inside the cannister increases forcing more ink out, keeping the chain intact whereas in your average Bic, the pressure is the same all the time because there is no sealed cap on the end of the ink holding mechanism itself, meaning pressure around the ink and atmospheric pressure are the same... (I feel I am repeating myself somewhat in this argument so I will stop now). @TheZ: The Pencil shavings would not really incenerate in our atmosphere, they wouldn't even get there, they would float around with all the other space crap (disused satellites that didnt make reentry etc. etc.). @Someone E1se: I am sure Walmart have those nifty little pencil sharpeners that have a plastic casing to store all the pencil shavings in. Besides I am sure an Astropen is much harder to look after than a pencil...
  13. lol, I've seen one of these pens, it about 10CM long and if you put the lid on, it becomes a stylus for your PDA... Oh, and @SomeoneE1se: There is no need for a specially crafted pencil sharpener, they work in zero gravity too... (sometimes simplicity is just the better)
  14. Apparently the American Army are developing an 'Iron Man' suit that will be in combat by 2010.... This just reminds me of this little gem: NASA spends billions of pounds to make an ink pen that works in space, the russians used a pencil(*gasp* and what if the american astronauts made a mistake, there isn't a space worthy tipex bottle yet)...
  15. I don't see the point in those quotes really, but your a Ninja and I'm only a Fan, so, what can I do...
  16. It kind of helped that I have seen all of those (bar the Obama one) before. more of these can be found at www.moillusions.com , They even have Widgets for the mac sidebar, the my Google Page and I think for the Vista sidebar
  17. I gave up a long time ago and set it to remember my username and password in the login page...
  18. Really? its Free now? Man... I remember trying to 'acquire' it, and then failing miserably (I gave up after about 15 soft resets). There was also this other awesome Palm game, a 3D Racing game where you could even make your own maps for it on the palm... waypoints road material, sand material, water material... That was a fun game, I never mastered it though
  19. yer, some of the other ones are REALLY obscure... pixellated images with dead people hanging on walls and the such...
  20. Was that 'red eye' intended :P ? Just asking because thats your iris thats red, not your pupils...
  21. 4Chan has a few... (understated massively)
  22. A great Palm OS RTS was Warfare Incorporated... It was just amazing, it had a C&C/Starcraft feel to it...
  23. I don't think Basic lacks DirectX10. It lacks Vista Aero, but seeing as Vista Basic is essentially the same OS as all the other versions, I bet you can just go download and install it on your system anyway... (It may not have it inbuilt, maybe because Vista Aero and the spanky 'Switch Between Windows' thing is what uses it in the OS)
