  1. You could possibly use another ustream video? to check that, the controls aren't really workable though. The other option is you build you own missile command server for testing.
  2. I think you should go for CoDWaW, just because its the newer one. I still have a lot of fun on both, and the dynamics are almost identical. I did find it quite unusual that Treyarch thought the natural evolution was dogs to helicopters rather than some kind of, I dunno, plane? But CoD5 has vehicles in it (mainly tanks) in multiplayer. It also has a more 'real' aspect to it (explosions and shotguns blow you apart, with limbs flying everywhere), and you will find most of everything else the same. The campaign is longer in Call of Duty 5, but only by a few hours. There are some situations which are much more difficult than anything in Call of Duty 4, not to give too much away but you find yourself using an AA gun against infantry for a long and drawn out period of time where you are close to death much too often (<- I couldn't complete that mission in Hard mode). Oh and to the best of my knowledge, the PC version of CoD5 has prestige mode this time (finally), so no we can obsess about that too, just like the console gamers :D . and to clinch the deal, the campaign ends with nazi zombies!
  3. The new games? Fallout 3, Call of Duty World at War (I've been getting a lot of flak for calling this CoD5 but I don't really think it matters), Gears of War 2, Halo 3
  4. Yeah Roguehart, its CrashOnCtrlScroll. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\i8042prt\Parameters] "CarshOnCtrlScroll"=dword:00000001 If you put that into a reg file and run it, it will enable it for you. But be careful because this is an actual BSOD, not a fake one.
  5. If its a powersurge, you could try buying a surgemaster. They work pretty well, and they are cheaper than UPS's. Its unlikely that the PSU is underpowered if the other ones work fine, and, if the other ones do work fine, (making the assumption that they are all have the same software suites installed), it might not even be a software issue.
  6. The first language I actually learned was QBasic, and that would only be about 2 years ago max. I thought there was real scope for it back then. I learnt HTML soon after, and CSS just recently, which I think was quite silly because I thought it was much easier than it seemed, with a Good IDE (I use Aptana). I also know a little Adobe Spry but I that is just an extension of HTML. Now I am trying to learn Python :) . I think the easiest language to learn well is HTML, I could never completely understand the ropes with QBASIC when I looked at programmes that actually served a purpose, whereas, with HTML and some duct tape, I could make stuff in minutes. But I am starting to warm to python as well.
  7. 0.o, lol Following convention here: 1) I didn't say it was wrong to not like someone, I was just interested as to why you don't like him, if you don't like him. 2) I did say that it was the impression I got that he was disliked. 3) I also did say he was an okay guy, and as a matter of fact, I don't really watch his video's much any more. There were just so many of them, and they covered topics I really wasn't interested in. 4) I made an assumption that you guys knew who he was, and if you didn't, then now's your chance to check him out. Its not liking I am forcing you to answer this question, I am just asking, those who don't like him, why they don't like him, and those who know him but don't mind him, why that is their state of mind. 5) I am just genuinely interested in why people don't like him. What any of you say will not change *my* opinion of him. It seems to me he puts alot of time and effort into what he does, and I think its good, just not for me. Just to clear things up a little :) @VickiWong: If you think about it, I am asking you to bash him, but in a calm and constructive way. :) @digip: You should probably have highlighted that fact that I live in London, UK too. But, lets be honest, how can you be sure that the information I put in there is correct? That would be, like, making an assumption wouldn't it? God forbid!
  8. I was just wondering what people have against him. I try to listen to as many podcasts as possible, and in a whole load of them, they just don't take him seriously. I'm just asking, why? He seems okay, kind of dreery, but okay.
  9. Thanks for the explanation Stingwray. Gotta learn sometime Sparda...
  10. Are you pulling my leg Sparda? You are! I just checked and Windows XP 64BIT/32BIT has been tested successfully with Tesla. I did some more checking and apparently the only thing holding this back from being used to run games is the lack of Drivers that recognise it as a Display Adapter. P.S. When I said Registered, I meant, maybe it would only see a portion of the processing capability, like it can only see a maximum of 32GB total RAM in 64 BIT and 4GB in 32 BIT.
  11. Well, thinking practically (sorry guys). I don't think Windows can register that much processing power. So most of it would be wasted methinks.

    Fun Free FPS

An Awesome free game that I used to play was 'True Combat Elite'. Its a total modification for Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, and it basically changes it into Counter Strike Source with scopes for everything. It plays in a completely different way to WolfET, and I really liked it, here's the URL: http://www.tcelite.net/
  13. ooo, oooooo, Pick mine, Pick Mine!
  14. I too would like to change my vote to 0, I installed Rainmeter, and it links to everything I had on the desktop before hand... so, yeah, No more Icons for me. It actually feels a bit empty.

    Fun Free FPS

post_break: Cube on the iPhone, although as an idea, is freakin' awesome, in practice... mmmm not so much. It uses the accelerometer to control where you look, and it is much too sensitive, plus it is literally just Cube ported to understand iPhone input commands, so there is no way to change the accelerometer sensitivity inside the game.

    Left4Dead

All the new multiplayer games are getting more accessible, so we can say bye bye to the server browser. Not that its a bad thing, I just miss it in the new games. The only game that has multiplayer, is notable and has a server browser is Call of Duty World at War, Far Cry 2 has gone for a quick match button, Battlefield heroes (while in beta anyway, which, unfortunately has stopped) has a nice big red button to press that says "PLAY NOW!". Left4Dead isn't really a largescale multiplayer game, its more about building bonds in a team in a short amount of time, oh, and killing zombies, obviously.
  18. I think the mockups (not the WebUI one though) were made in Google Sketchup. And, I was wondering, would it be possible to get missile launchers that can reel the missiles back in? like harpoons but less deadly. And the Rovio mobile web cam has the ability to find its own docking station using IR, couldn't you fix that on to this thing to fix the running out of battery issue.
  19. Wow, what games system is that from? its really accurate
  20. With some *extreme* nLiting, I managed to get my XP installation footprint to 500MB (without a page file). I have this website to thank for that. http://www.i64x.com/eeexp.php
  21. I like the last ones and the first ones. they are *droolable*.
  22. Mod another Patriot Xporter (for the sake of the other one's data) with Creative Muvo controls or something? seems difficult to achieve, probably because it is.
  23. Moonlander, there are 5 colours in that
