  1. Am I the only person who doesn't get this pancake thing? Why am I out of the loop on this kind of thing? WHY? *EDIT*I think I got it , knowing sure kicks all the fun out of it*EDIT*
  2. I try not to keep icons on my desktop. I game, so I use Steam to manage those shortcuts, Everything Else Vista sorts out with the Search Function. I used to have Launchy when I used XP, and I used to also have every single programme on my system in my 'Quick' Launch Bar, which took up more than the height of my screen, several times over.
  3. If the SSD wasen't big enough, I am sure you can invest in an SDHC card (4GB) and install on that.
  4. I made a design for the Hak5 Missile Command page (attachment). Have fun, discuss etc. I made sure to incorporate everything that was in the old page into the design. If you want the psd, PM me.
  5. This seems quite possible. It depends what EEE PC you have. But the 900 runs Vista Basic quite well (enough), and looking at the file size, they must have omitted so much, they can't have kept Aero.
  6. The filtering and copying can be done with just a batch file. But, you will only be able to do it in one/two directories. If this is black/grey hat, you are gonna need something like nircmd.
  7. I was thinking, maybe just have the fon in your pocket and connect to it via its wireless? Would that create a stack error? I dunno, I don't have a fon to play with.
  8. Holy mary mother of chicken wings vector....Thats just wasteful :P I have a custom made PC and an EEE PC 900 EEE PC 900: Windows XP Pro SP2 on 4GB SSD (Data on 16GB SSD) BT3 on 1GB SD Desktop: Thermaltake Armor Case w/25cm fan Asus P5E3 Motherboard Intel Q6600 Processor ATI Radeon HD 3870X2 1GB RAM Graphics Card Creative Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Sound Card 2x500GB HDD 2xDVD Rewriter 3.5" Bay 1200W PSU 22inch monitor Logitech G15 Keyboard Logitech MX Revolution Mouse Windows Vista Home Premium SP1.
  9. That looks similar to the receiver used by the Logitech VX Revolution.
  10. I have four desktops, so I kind of like don't want to mess up the forums stylings or push them off the edge of the post, so, here it is: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/GePse7aPu5zsAbZrhgLdsA In case your wondering, I don't have 4 monitors (I wish I did though). I just use Deskspace, which gives me 3 desktops on one screen. Very useful.
  11. I have an Nlited Windows XP Pro Corporate (down to 147MB) and I have Backtrack 3 on a 1GB SD Card. I have an EEE PC 900
  12. I use PowerISO for Mounting ISOs, IMGBurn for Burning *anything*. IMGBurn worked where all others failed so I stand by it...
  13. I think what this is doing (after listening to the gimp post) is that you are actually zipping two files into a new file. So, what you do in Windows it go into command prompt, take your Song, take your picture, and put them into a lossless compression format (0% compression) or make it lossless. then rename the file. This is how some viruses are put into exes as trojans. when the person starts the application, it will open up both executables inside the 'executable' you clicked.
  14. I like steam, because they make good games, and their DRM does not interfere with the gameplay. It is also much, much easier to reinstall games on a new system when you have them through steam. I just install steam, logon and they all start downloading. Its great, its simple, there are no CDs/DVDs to be scratched.
  15. Yup, Zelda and Final Fantasy are definitely RPGs
  16. You only get your fee back from Optus if you don't go with them right? so even though they (probably) have better customer services, it is going to be human nature to go for the cheaper option (in the short term) of taking the money from Optus and going for Vodaphone.
  17. I like steam and valve, they are one of the nicest game developers.
  18. The Wii Sports addons (the pack that the wheel comes in) are just a set of templates, they do not come with a separate controller.
  19. Red Steel? kinda not a family game, but its a cool game nonetheless
  20. that is because the simple DRM takes time, not resources to find the algorithm, whereas with the complicated one, they patch up all the problems that are new, and forget about the old ones, and hackers DO try the same trick twice!
  21. I bet every bank has this option in reality. If you asked for it, it could be done, it is just how much it costs to get it done thats the problem (a Bank wouldn't advertise that it costs £50 to put a pretty picture as the background for Debit Card, say)
  22. Actually, DarkBlueBox. currently, alot of farmland has gone towards producing BioFuel, so, what you just said is already true.
  23. you can install putty on a Nokia e70. you can install 3D games on an iPhone (Raging Thunder is a great Example). You can also install Terminal on an iPhone and from their, you can use aircrack.... That guy is completely biased.
  24. That post on the best page in the universe is really very biased and doesn't take into account the fact that it is now possible to do everything that the iPhone can't do (supposedly) by jailbreaking it. I mean, don't tell me the Nokia e70 comes with Putty.
  25. Forgot to mention with my previous post: 1TB of HDD (Maxtors if I'm not mistaken) <- lol, I only built it a month or two ago and I can't remember what some of the stuff I used is...
