  1. I can already picture Wess staring at the walls of his cubicle planning the modding of every aspect of his work enviroment. I hope they don't allow you to have a Dremmel nor soldering iron in there.
  2. "He never asks for money" ROFL. My mom once said the following exact words to my father when I told him that I didn't need any money for a Chi-town trip, "He's a hacker! He's probably stolen enough money from the bank to buy the neighborhood!". I just laughed my ass off for a few and left for the concert. I'm a grey hat yes, but I would never steal money from anyone.
  3. Not when I live in the shitty michigan and the only threat we have to our continued existance is the lake-effect snow and our fellow, shitty drivers. Frankly I don't like the size our our army and government (far too big). But, that discussion has been already been grossly over-done.
  4. “A paranoid is someone who knows a little of what's going on.†- William S. Burroughs
  5. Did you just write that yourself or was that found elsewhere? I'm only asking because that was probably one of the best computer-human personifications I've ever read. Bravo
  6. Continuation of Dogma quotes...: Metatron: I am to charge you with a holy crusade. Bethany: For the record, I work in an abortion clinic. Metatron: Noah was a drunk. Look what he accomplished. And no one's even asking you to build an ark. All you have to do is go to New Jersey, and visit a small church on a very important day. Bethany: New Jersey? That doesn't sound like much of a crusade. Metatron: Aside from the fine print, that's it. Bethany: What's the fine print? Metatron: [mumbling into glass] Stopacoupleofangelsfromenteringandthusnegatingallexistence. Bethany: Wait, wait, wait. Repeat that. Metatron: Stop a couple of angels from entering and thus negating all existence. I hate when people need it spelled out for them.
  7. Ah, nothing better than wasting company time!
  8. Uh, no. The closest I get to having military personnel around my home town are the ocassional A10-Warthogs that fly over head in the spring when they relocate the planes for the warm months.
  9. Defiantly the bet scenario. :D
  10. I'm hopfefully attending next year's Defcon if I manage to stop getting drunk all the time and actually save some cash. Here's a link to their downloadable video, mp3 and text lectures. Most of which I found very informative/entertaining. Especially the "Hacking Nmap" one. http://www.defcon.org/html/links/defcon-media-archives.html
  11. I didn't want to be the first but, When did he start posting on here!?!?!?
  12. I'll give the article a read once back from class but my imeadiate conclusion is that you are once again, far too paranoid. :D
  13. Welcome mate, glad to have another member in our humble community.
  14. Haha, I really need to get a hold of one of my paintball teammates. He's an ex-army explosives technician and spent one year in Iraq and about half a year in Afghanistan. He’s got a book (issued from the US Gov’t) on how to make just about every explosive out there. And even how to disarm many common land mines. Just an idea of what he did in Iraq: Drive around in a 10-ton dump truck, locates a landmine. Walk up; pull a wire/pin/whatever. Pick it up, toss it in the back of the truck and move on. Guy’s a nut.
  15. I really hate 'leet speek'. Not only because it's annoying, but it's also hard to read and thus, produces migraines.
  16. Job well done VaKo. I know I've been gone for a while (and I'm sure that NONE of you guys noticed ) but I'm glad to come back and see that you guys are still doing fantastic jobs. Thank-yous to all of the fierce forum Kitties! *And in case you were wondering why I havn't been around often lately, let's just say that I have a new, three-letter addiction and no, it's not a drug.
  17. Just a side-note: Cracking and/or accessing another's wifi ap is illegal in the US and I'm sure it is as well for most European countries. So if you're looking to crack a wpa encryption, do it on your own network, don't risk a fine/jail time.
  18. Wait a... but.... um... Well... Uhhh, what? *Yes I know what a ups is, this just sounded weird to hear at the wee-hours of the morning.
  19. Duelus - I thought my room was clean but damn, there isn't a speck of anything anywhere in there.
  20. Haha, glad to see that someone is using the destop I made a while back.
  21. I'm all for LEGAL torrenting (but I do support the piratebay and their strives agaisnt the mpaa/riaa - hence my avatar. No one should be forced to shut down a site that technically under swedish law, isn't doing anythign illegal) so here's my favorite torrent site: www.torrents.to Search multiple engines from one window. Quite convient.
  22. This may work: Find the address of your NAS share and while on the network from your laptop, open the run console and try "<address of the share here>" May work but I'm not totally sure. It had worked for me at my old HS but they had one of the worst infrastructures I've ever seen and everyone's shares were easily accessible with full read/write privilages.
  23. Good hacking music = anything that you like. Doesn't matter if it's a pulse-driven techno, acoustic-strumming country or a screaming-riff rock-out song. Music is music.
