1. Yes, I have read a few versions of that guide. While that dose work, it's rather half assed and dose not work in windows, basically what you are doing is patching the driver. I want to patch the eeprom its self.
2. Has anyone found a way to remove the 20dBm lock on the newer revisions of this card? I downloaded the Atheros eeprom toolkit but it doesn't find this card for whatever reason. Apparently this card is too new or something and the person who made that tool like died or something. Anyone know of a permanent fix? or atleast something that works under windows. btw, this is an AR9271 chipset
3. Look in the user's appdata folder, it will install there by default without admin rights, they could also be running it from a usb storage.
4. Bump, made use of the "Best Answer" feature. I would appreciated it if I could have a few people try the instructions I posted above for 2.7+ to make sure there are no issues that I may have overlooked.
5. Edit: The commands to do this are 2.7.0+ [Stop the wireless service in the GUI before continuing for 2.7.0+] airmon-ng start wlan0 airodump-ng mon0 2.5.0 airodump-ng stop mon.wlan0 ifconfig wlan0 down ifconfig wlan0 up airmon-ng start wlan0 airodump-ng mon0
6. I like the concept although I can't say I would use it too often,
7. Take the one from the hak shop and cut the red wire on the connection going to the pineapple.
8. Just use all static ip's or ideally stop one of the DHCP servers.
9. Saw one yesterday that said "Fu*k da 5-0 ni**a"
10. I don't know if you have fixed your module yet, but yesterday I downloaded it on 2.70 and it was not working. The issue is that it wants you to keep the wireless on in the gui but in 2.70 you want to turn it off because it doesn't disable radio0 and if you keep it on you can not change the channel.
11. Cut the red because sometimes the shield is connected to ground anyway
12. Bump - Up and running again for 2.7.0
13. Can't wait for this firmware to be stable, I like the new features but I had to downgrade to 2.5.0 for stability
14. after running cd / cd pineapple sed -i 's/wifi down/killall hostapd \&\& ifconfig wlan0 down/g' wlan.php [I manually restarted wireless via web gui now] ifconfig [to check interfaces] ifconfig wlan0 down ifconfig wlan0 up airmon-ng start wlan0 airodump-ng mon0
via putty airodump still freezes
15. There is no longer a need to run airmon-ng stop mon.wlan0
16. Apparently it is legal as you can transmit up to 1 watt and use a higher gain antenna to go up to 4 watts but after that, you have to turn down the TX power. http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/tutorials/article.php/1428941
17. Whoa, one of those said 3 watts is this legal in the us?
18. I like the idea of it being customizable via the config.
19. I think we should use port 9002 because it is over 9000 and everyone uses 9001
20. you should add bacon keep drivin dickhead
I have lots more but those are the only two I remember off the top of my head
