www.mediamax.com it gives you 25GB free storage and more if you get a paid account so my question is, what gives? what is the catch obviously they have to have a revenue model of some sort, so what do they have that say google don't anyone heard of these guys before? by the way, if you want to try it out, i found a bugmenot account username:kyhuu007 password:260932419 EDIT: found out what it is, you only get 1GB/month of uploads and downloads, so the 25GB is pretty much useless cos it would take you about 2 years to fill up, assuming that you never downloaded anything. Kinda sucky :(

not that i would ever do this, but hypothetically speaking, if you went to a uni that used NDS, for some reason each computer will have a few local windows user accounts on it that are the same user and password as a particular persons NDS account. So if you crack those, you get to their NDS accounts. they seem to be on there for a long time as well and i have no idea why. just hypothetically of course i have been reading a bit about NDS. It seems to be a pretty good way for very n00bified sys admins to be able to create a nice secure network without too much training or knowledge i try not to learn too much, since you don't want to mess with shit at school, for all of the reasons that have been mentioned already

Is dvdshrink still being developed? cos i read somewhere that it has been discontinued if so they definetly should open it up and GPL it i don't see how they really could be making any money from it anyway, and if they did GPL it they could at least give others the opportunity to port it to linux and other OSes i use K9copy on linux anyway. it's got even fewer options, but i don't know that the compression is as good as dvdshrink. k9 is quicker, so i guess the qualities of the movies might be a little less, but i don't really have the eye to be able to tell, so i don't really know

has anyone else noticed that Firefox 2 doesn't allow blocking of 3rd party cookies, only accept or disallow cookies. i went and found this really cool site which documents all of the obscure config options in firefox to allow only 3rd pary cookies type "about:config" (without the talking marks) in the address bar of firefox then type "network.cookie" in the filter there should be one field left, this is "network.cookie.cookieBehavior" change this from the default of 0 to 1 it will already be 1 if you're upgrading from your old version of firefox they didn't remove the feature, but it shits me that they took it out of the GUI, now i have to customise this every time i want to no accept 3rd party cookies. and you're much less likely to turn this off if it's not in the GUI

for those of you that don't get it yet this is just a load of shit it's an excuse to be able to monitor the phone and internet activities of the general population. the whole "we need to check for terrorists training over the internet" thing is a complete load of shit especially since if you assume that these people have technical skills, they will be using something like Tor or whatever else in order to mask their activities

I think in fact that like what cooper said, it uses port 21 initially and 20 for data transfer, so you probably have to port forward both. i actually had a really dumb problem with a D-link router one time there are seperate security settings in which external FTP connections are disallowed. So I would have to forward ports 21 and 20 + allow external FTP connections (which i think means that ports 20 and 21 aren't blocked) yea, that router pretty much sucked

at least they don't have far to carry her (i'm so going to hell) the irony may in fact be that only because she was stressing so much about the details of her own funeral that she ended up having a heart attach and if she left it alone she would be ok.
