  1. It all comes down to how much bandwidth the network (as stated by Digip) has and how fast you machine is. If you have a slow machine, that will also be another limiting factor, since all the traffic is going through your machine, and its just not being able to handle all that traffic, so therefore it will become a bottleneck in the network, compromising performance and slowing everyone you are arpspoofing down.
  2. You will need to determine, what assets have what IP address and make sure they are all unique. That should resolve your IP address conflict problem.
  3. In order to gain experience while taking your degree, I would suggest you practice on your own time or look for a part-time job in the networking field, that will help develop your skills and gain an understanding of how computer networks work in general, a very essential requirement if you want to pursue a career in the security field in the future. On the other hand, would be wise if you could do the following certifications (CCNA and MCSE), especially if you want to get a job in the network administration. In fact, I know of a few ex-work colleges of mine that, had to get these certifications done because they were part of their job requirements. In addition, you can't lose but only gain more from these certifications, I myself am in the process of doing several other certifications that once done will make me a Microsoft Server Engineer certified. Furthermore, it will look good on your resume when hunting for jobs. Anyhow, I can't stress enough on this one, but always practice and practice, practice makes you good and that's the part I like most in IT, its rewarding, you are always learning new exciting things and it only gets better and more interesting. Good luck..
  4. Just make sure your DHCP is leasing ip addresses to all your machines and you should be fine. If its not than it could be something to do with the configuration on your router's DHCP settings. Like everyone else mentioned, you don't have to manually set an ip address if you already have a DHCP server. If you are running servers, it would be wise to add a reservation to your DHCP server. So that way, there is no conflicts. Edit: Understanding how IP address conflicts happens is not a rocket science, but if you need a hand to understand it better, just read these articles below. http://compnetworking.about.com/od/workingwithipaddresses/f/ip_conflict.htm http://cws.internet.com/article/3735-.htm
  5. Well either way, I feel sorry for the computer, its said but oh well shit happens.
  6. As a rule of thumb, always use different user IDs and passwords for any website you visit or sign up with on the internet. It not only protects your identity but makes things difficult for someone who manages to snatch your credentials.
  7. A book or the Internet, there are great tutorials out there w3c schools for instance has great tutorials on PHP. I used that website a lot, when I was learning PHP, plus even the PHP official website, has plenty of examples and explanations.
  8. Ohh that is so hilarious. But I feel sorry for your computer brooo....
  9. You can't remain anonymous forever, at some point in time someone will make a mistake and get caught. Like the old saying goes, you can run but you can't hide. I would say they must be using somebody else network, with the use of heavy VPNs, proxies and encryption. I think that's how they managed to stay low for too long.
  10. If you can afford, 500 terabytes to 1 petabyte.
  11. Don't know if you read this thread or not, but worth a read. http://cciepursuit.wordpress.com/2007/08/08/configure-the-native-vlan-on-both-sides-of-the-trunk/
  12. Very well.. will keep on trying thank you..

    802.22?

There are always restrictions and regulations in every place, and it is illegal so as long as you don't get caught you will be fine.
  15. Channel 7 and 11 will be in the 2.4ghz spectrum range, if you are in the USA. However you can only allocate one channel per spectrum at the time. In addition, you can purchase also a compatible wireless adapter that works well with InSSider directly from http://www.metageek.net/.
  16. I got some of your words but the message was not near enough to the real text.
  17. @DLSS, read the review on that NAS box and it doesn't seem to do RAID at all. That could explain why its struggling to stream x2 HD movies simultaneously. But it does look good to me. But since I am a power user, I would expect more from the box.
  18. Why don't you show us how you encoded the message. I do have a feeling this message has not been encoded correctly or you are missing something from it.
  19. @Hackmeifyoucan, Found this thread quite interesting, I thought you might like it http://streemeboxvcr.yuku.com/topic/2238
  20. If you are going to be using those WIFIs, I would recommend using ArpON. This tool will alert you and block any one who is arp poisoning the network. So its a great tool to have, if you are going to be using an unsafe hotspot.
  21. No, you are not doing anything wrong! To have a successful possibility you need more than just one table, you need lots of tables. That's one of the downsides of rainbow tables and since it requires lots of tables; I've done the math, it require a huge amount of storage space. I'm talking in the range of if not Terabytes, Petabytes of storage!!!!! I believe rainbow tables are good and effective for short password lengths, once passwords starts to get longer it becomes almost impractical to use rainbow tables. Furthermore, I think the future of password cracking lies in the hands of the CUDA technology.
  22. @DLSS, what's the performance on those synology boxes like? Any good!
  23. If it's a flash video, just download flashgot an extension for FireFox that will download the vid for you.
  24. It won't be Base64 since I tried it and it won't decode to plain-text, so it has to be PGP signature or some other encryption type. Will keep on looking.
