  1. You keep asking about other countries. The Internet doesn't care what country you are in. He could be on Mars - if he has an IP and can reach the Internet, you can chat. Use netcat, forward ports on your (and possibly his) machine and done. Netcat doesn't care about countries either ;) Best regards, Sebkinne
  2. Instead of wlan0, you'll need to have br-lan. Best regards, Sebkinne
  3. It depends on what chipset the wlan adapter is on. If you supply a bit more information we will be able to help you! Best Regards, Sebkinne
  4. Yes, I removed links to places where you can buy them. Do it somewhere else. Cellphone jamming is illegal and should be, as it can prevent communication in emergencies. Can't call 911 etc when jammed. Let's not delve too deeply into the subject here, please.
  5. Make sure to update your Karma infusion using the WiFi Pineapple Bar. Best regards, Sebkinne
  6. You could achieve this by using iptables: Block all traffic on interface wlan0. Allow all traffic on MAC ABC on interface wlan0. Allow all traffic on MAC XYZ on interface wlan0. Remember, MAC addresses can be spoofed easily. Best Regards, Sebkinne
  7. Not illegal to own, but illegal to use, in the UK.
  8. Unless you are government, jamming cellphones is illegal. At least in most developed countries.
  9. Not with a WiFi Pineapple. It would also be incredibly illegal.. Best regards, Sebkinne
  10. Yes, they should remain connected. All of mine have in the past and still do. Best regards, Sebkinne
  11. Hey Merlintime, Thanks for bringing this to my attention - I have pushed an update for the karma infusion to the WiFi Pineapple Bar already. This fixes the "Karma Intelligence Report" tab not showing the information correctly. In regards to kicking off clients, that shouldn't have happened - and has never happened for me personally. It is something we could do but never really considered. Best Regards, Sebkinne
  12. The reason you were getting the blinking blue light (booting) was because it tried to boot but because no SD card was inserted, it failed. It doesn't matter if it is formatted or not, as long as one is inserted. You can re-format the SD card just like you can before through the webinterface. The reason why it says experimental is because it fails sometimes. Then you'll need to re-boot and try again. If your SD card is toast though (some of he SD cards we shipped out are defective), you'll need to replace it with a new one if you want to use the SD card storage. I recommend any size class 10 SD card. Again, this is only if the card is permanently dead. A re-format should work. Either way, you have successfully flashed 1.3.0! I'm glad the issue is fixed! Best Regards, Sebkinne
  13. I'm glad the new firmware has fixed the issue. I'll mark this as answered then. Best Regards, Sebkinne
  14. Works fine for me here.. Once you click start, can you reach it at PINEAPPLE_IP:9090 or PINEAPPLE_IP:9090/output? Anyway, give it a shot again, maybe it just got stuck :) Best Regards, Sebkinne
  15. Hey everyone, After a week of beta testing, we are happy to announce our WiFi Pineapple MKV firmware version 1.3.0. This release focused on updating our base with upstream changes and further improving the WiFi Pineapple MKV's general stability. We spent some time improving the way that karma does it's logging and the overall stability of the wireless interfaces. We would also like to thank all our beta testers which wrote a report to let us know their thoughts and any positive or negative things they noticed. Your feedback helps us improve the WiFi Pineapple immensely! If you wanted to try out the beta but didn't get a chance to, don't worry, we are constantly working on new things and will be releasing beta firmwares more regularly! Also, if you have participated in the beta, make sure to re-flash the released 1.3.0 firmware as there have been changes after the last beta round. Changelog: Merged upstream changesUpdated wireless drivers. Updated wireless utilities. Updated OpenSSL (fixed heartbleed). Updated some other base components. Updated hostapd. 16. And we are done. Thank you everyone for your feedback! Best Regards, Sebkinne
  17. Because we want unbiased reports. Tell us what's working, what's not working, without being influenced by anyone else. That's how we do our initial betas and what we decided upon. Maybe this will change later or we will change beta phases. I don't see anything reported by you on our beta site either, which would be the correct place to let us know about any issue you have / any comments. That's what we expect from anyone that tests the firmwares :) Best regards, Sebkinne
  18. Please report this on the beta website under the correct section and not here :) Best regards, Sebkinne
  19. You haven't confirmed your email address yet. Once you do, you'll be able to log in. Best regards, Sebkinne
  20. Please do not share beta related issues on here. It's part of the rules we came up with to prevent confusion and frustration by users. Not everything we test makes it to the final build, not everything works. That's why we make you agree to these terms before testing. We might add a way to share issues between testers later on. Regarding any issues anyone is having, please report them in the "write your report" section of the beta. That's where I'll see them and that's the correct way to report the issue. Thanks for your understanding, Sebkinne
  21. I didn't use the Pineapple to generate my keys. It's possible that the OpenWRT package which generates them has some issues. Best regards, Sebkinne
  22. Exactly. If I require further information or similar, that is how I'll ask for it. I'll also inform you if something you have reported has been fixed through there. We appreciate ALL feedback we get. It helps us make this a really solid release. Best regards, Sebkinne
  23. If they see bugs within the beta, please use the 'write your report' option on our website. It's a tab on the page you downloaded the beta. Best regards, Sebkinne
  24. St3v3, Let me set a few things straight. First of all, your constant mentioning that I (and Mr-Protocol, another admin) threatened to ban you. You put it in your signature, constantly mention it in posts, what good do you think that will achieve? I messaged you about it to explain why. To keep these forums clean, we do not want people making multiple posts on the same issue, cross posting threads etc. Yes, you created multiple threads and one of them was about a different issue. That is our forum policy which we admins enforce. Now in regards to our beloved Entropy Bunny. He is what others call a throbber. A cute little thing we implemented to show that something is loading. It is an homage to the old MKIII days where we used it and you saw it constantly. Now you shouldn't be seeing it much. The point is, Entropy bunny has nothing to do with the concept of entropy. It's just a cute name. My comment on the feed it more carrots was based on the above statement. I honestly wasn't sure if you were being serious or what you wanted to do as the concept of entropy is irrelevant here. My comment was a joke and I stated this. Then I got to the actual subject of what I suspected your issue was. But let me break that one down for you too. Entropy bunny only appears when opening large tiles. What type of large tiles are you opening? The system infusions (bar, info, configuration, resources, karma, autossh, logs, and network)? Or infusions you have installed to your WiFi Pineapple MKV via the WiFi Pineapple Bar? If the latter, where did you install those infusions? Onto internal storage? Onto the SD card? If you installed them to the SD card, my original statement holds. The SD cards we ship are 2GB class 4 SD cards. They are not fast and sadly we have had a bunch of defective ones with customers, which really sucks. From your last post, you formatted your SD card to ext4 - but it seems there are errors. I suggest you go and buy yourself a new SD card. Something like a 16GB class 10. Make sure you get a class 10. They really aren't expensive anymore. Put that into your WiFi Pineapple MKV and format using the webinterface. The larger the SD card, the longer that will take. Also, you never stated what firmware version you are on now. The latest one (and the one you should be on) is 1.2.0. My suggestion for you is the following: Buy yourself a class 10 SD card (max 32GB). Format the SD card to ext4 either using your computer or the Pineapple's webinterface. Insert SD card, boot up WiFi Pineapple MKV Flash your WiFi Pineapple MKV with the 1.2.0 firmware. ??? Profit The above steps should get you up and running. I hope I cleared up the misconceptions on the banning, the Entropy Bunny, and the issue you are having. Best Regards, Sebkinne
