  1. Firmware upgrade requires you to create a new password via setup if I'm not mistaken.
  2. That was going to be my next suggestion. My first reply was when I just woke up haha.
  3. I'm assuming when you run the wp4.sh on your laptop computer? I would suggest disabling the networking service all together. service networking stop
  4. If i remember, that is a problem with baud rate. Make sure it is set correctly with your OS.
  5. Mark 1 was the Fonera 2100 hardware. This link should be helpful. http://digi.ninja/jasager/
  6. Sounds like you will need to do a clean flash of your Mark IV. Official link: https://www.wifipineapple.com/?flashing&version=mk4 My blog post with more info: http://mr-protocol.blogspot.com/2013/12/wifi-pineapple-mark-iv-clean-flash-uart.html
  7. Agreed on the things should be left unseen. Better yet, not created. But if you think the old malware of the hard disks is bad. What do you think is lurking in your UEFI? I've been saying since the beginning that UEFI is so bad, will be rootkit heaven, etc. I predict in a few years we will see malware in UEFI that does similar. I can almost guarantee it's already there.
  8. To reset (reset all defaults), there should be a button on the bottom of it. While it is fully booted, press and hold for 8-10 seconds and then let it sit for about 5-10 minutes for the script to do it's thing.
  9. Not sure, but I would make sure to put a delay for device recognition at the front.
  10. Rip off. Do not buy that. The WiFi Pineapple is only sold at hakshop.com
  11. I stayed there last year. And yeah, it's not great. Functional for sleeping and shower. Apparently they are undergoing remodel after a back and forth battle on closing it.
  12. http://www.hope.net/ is hosted at the Hotel Pennsylvania in Manhattan.
  13. Wash is a part of the reaver package, I'm not sure to the infusion side of it including it but it should? Try it and find out. Yes those are optional downloads. Not all of them are tool installs, but interfaces for the web GUI. Read the descriptions for more info.
  14. This thread is not for "How to hack a router". Read any suggested replies. Laziness is no excuse (lame one at that) to not just reset the router and re configure. Locked.
  15. I don't believe wash is installed by default. That is a package included with reaver so if you install that, you should have wash. Editing of posts is allowed by "Active Members" spend some more time on the forums (posting) to unlock those features.
  16. Locked, has gone WAY off topic with no sight of return.
  17. Illegal acts are not permitted on this forum.
  18. Thanks for updating the thread. It was smacked with the auto archive for inactivity.
  19. The first one may not help you much. The second one should do the trick. Take a look at the ones that are sold on the HakShop. https://hakshop.myshopify.com/collections/accessory/products/serial-ttl-cable?variant=254634190 I would stick to the same chipset as that one. Don't forget that the voltage should NOT be connected. You only need TX, RX, and GND.
  20. This should have all the information you need: http://mr-protocol.blogspot.com/2013/12/wifi-pineapple-mark-iv-clean-flash-uart.html Don't skip around, read it all.
  21. Ok, freakin enough already. You state that this interface needs to be "easier to use", no. It's meant for professional with low level knowledge of what is going on in the background. For legit, signed contract agreement penetration tests. Your theories of using it to "solve crimes" from the victim perspective is total bullshit. As stated up there, call the proper authorities, you shouldn't be collecting "evidence", and it is illegal to do so depending on the setup. Not to mention, law enforcement has this great tool called a warrant that can get more information in a LEGAL way that can be used in court. If you disagree, PM me and we will schedule a skype/hangout/whatever chat about it. This topic is now locked and I do not want to see another one opened to continue the shenanigans.
  22. I think it was a push to hold for 8-10 seconds, then wait for it to run it's script.
  23. A serial TTL/UART is the easiest way. Or a re-flash.
  24. You can have it open notepad and write a batch script for your actions you want performed. Close and save notepad as a .bat to the root of C:\ and then use Winkey+R to run the script. That is if permissions that are blocking command prompt don't block the .bat scripts as well.
  25. I would say it is the best option. With UART you can watch debug messages and see what is going on, as well as interrupt the boot to clean flash it. There should be a video as well at the bottom of the blog post.
