Tymac94 Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Where can I get a Pineapple case Like Darrin has. Would something like this do? http://www.centurynovelty.com/detail_429_146-086.html Quote
metatron Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 You would be better off buying an old broken Gameboy classic or Gameboy colour from ebay and gutting it to use as a fon case. Quote
g-ram Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 Yea thats the exact one darren uses, and metatron, the gameboy wouldnt be able to hold a battery pack would it? Quote

digininja Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I've got an original gameboy and it has battery space for 4 AAs. I haven't kept up with what people are using but I'm sure that you could fit any type of battery you'd need in that. If you could get it to output something on the screen, that would be cool! If not, just replace it with a pineapple sticker! You could probably tap the buttons and use them to turn the device on and off, maybe even tie them to the gpio and use as direct input to the fon. This sounds like an epic idea... I just thought about another one though... What about a sprite can? Would it be too small for it? Quote
g-ram Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 yea, darrens been using a 4AA batterypack so it should work. also, were talking about the original GB here right? this one: Quote
digininja Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 That is the one I've got sat next to me right now. I reckon it would fit Quote
metatron Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 That is the one I've got sat next to me right now. I reckon it would fit Yeah that's the one I was thinking. Should be able to fit one in that, I've fitted a routerboard in one before and used the power switch for on/off and the buttons to reset. You can get them off ebay for under £10 fully working. Quote
digininja Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Apart from lack of time, the only thing stopping me doing it is the sentimental value of the gameboy. I bought it while travelling and it has been round the world with me. If I get the time I may have to get another one off ebay. Quote
g-ram Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Q:why does your gameboy have an antenna? A:It's an upgrade to play with the new DS. if you had the antenna attached to an empty cartdrige in the game boy... Im starting to think about doing this myself :) Quote
Hyde Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 I was thinking about getting a Fon and putting it inside of a Domo-kun plushie. http://www.amazon.com/Domo-Plush-inch-Smal...pd_bxgy_t_img_b or a domo-kun storage box. http://www.amazon.com/square-Domo-Kun-desi...920&sr=1-18 Quote
shx Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 I've made myself case for Fon: usb powered and ethernet for sidejacking Quote
kendalkake Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Some great ideas there for housing fons .........I bet there are lots of creative ways to disguise the device. ;) Quote
Netshroud Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 I put it on my desk and buried it under a massive notepad. I have yet to use it in the wild - I need a laptop :( Quote
CyberAssassin Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I've put my fon in a external harddrive enclosure I had laying around. Fits Great. The only problem I've run into is people asking me why there's an antenna sticking out of my harddrive. Quote
digininja Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Because it is a wireless one of course! Quote
