  1. May be heavily IE-based but it's still a good reference that I use from time to time.
  2. Yeah I didn't think it would be able to handle it ether... could you recommend another chip that would be able to do it though?
  3. Actually I was stumbling around the arduino site and came accross this which is more or less a USB r/w library that's quite easily used on all of the arduinos. New question though: If I were to have an analog video coming in to the arduino on one or two of its analog inputs would it be a powerful enough device to convert it to a digital video in real-time and save it to the usb?
  4. Okay, well here's what I want to do: I want to have a serial USB (I know, redundant) connection to the microprocessor that occasionally spits data at the processor, and I would like the processor to then save that data on to a USB key. Anyways, I needed the smallest processor available, so I figured with its two digital connections that the Arduino Pro Mini would be able to handle this but I'm not entirely sure, so I was wondering if anyone here had some advice on this, specifically is it even possible with this hardware? Would there be an better or easier piece of hardware to use for this task? Thanks~
  5. I'd just use unetbootin personally, has never let me down so far.
  6. Sounds like a great thing to attach to a *cough* anonymous cable modem and just dump somewhere and have it act as whatever kind of server you want. A bit pricey though imo.

    RTS anyone??

SC & SC:BW. Have yet to play an RTS that comes anywhere near their mastery and it's been a decade since BW's release.
  10. Should fix your typo on "$action = 2" (I doubt you want your action to always be 2) but other than that you should be fine.
  11. Code is vulnerable to PHP code injection which would leave your site owned, not to mention your entire box in all probability. You should really make sure to filter all of your inputs.
  12. My initial suggestion of iframes was pretty generic, but you could create a customized filter for each popular site such as myspace, facebook, etc.
  13. The unfortunate truth is you have to know all of the old hardware that those A+ cert books have listed even though nobody uses them anymore. Also, be ready for the most obscure question on the most random thing as getting one of those wrong can really hurt your chances of passing.
  14. Do not use Gentoo on a netbook; you have to compile everything from source with Gentoo and with a 1.6ghz Atom that's not the most fun thing to do. Anyways, it's mostly about the keyboards on netbooks imo and the HP mini feels the best for me out of those three.

I'd recommend pypanel, much better than lxpanel.
  16. My broadcom chip is the BCM4328, and unfortunately, doesn't support monitor mode yet or packet injection.
  17. You should look into moblock, it's basically peerguardian for linux.
  18. As others have mentioned you can get a netbook with basically the same specs for just a tiny bit more, so it's really doubtful that anyone who knows anything about computers is going to buy it at that price, especially with a dead battery.
  19. Atheros is the best supported, but most work, just avoid broadcom.
  20. Thanks for the suggestion, it's a little too pricey for me though. I'll keep looking around.
  21. Their actual phisher could have been done better but the email itself is pretty convincing, obviously has snagged some ignorant people.
  22. It's an Acer Aspire One. It's a netbook.
