  2. Yea, the amount of force i feel on my feet when i'm listening to music is awsome. So much force come out of that little thing it scares me lol. For such good quality speakers they were pretty cheap at a local store. $35 USD.
  3. You know your a n00b when: You think your untouchable because you run Windows. You know your a n00b when: You think BestBuy is the best place to buy Computer Parts. You know your a Hacker when: The first thing you do on your machine is open a Terminal/Comand Promt
  4. Robotchild wrote: Yes it is, it's a good case unless you have carpet and keep it on the floor. I had to move it to the top of my desk otherwise the video card would start to clog up and make weird sounds. But other than that it's a pro case, i'm happy with it :D

  9. I personally would rather be called a geek. About a week ago there was a quiz on digg on how to tell if your a geek, nerd or dork. A geek is someone who has extensive knowledge of a specific field of study. A Nerd is someone who is very smart in all subjects. Thats what i think the difference is.

  16. Sup guys, I have a Dell Inspiron E1405 and i'm currently running Ubuntu on it. The deal is that when I first got the laptop Ubuntu didn't see the built in wireless card so with the help of ndsiwrapper i was able to get it working, problem is that now Ubuntu put out a kernel update and it broke my wireless again. I havn't tried to use Ndsiwrapper again but i wanted to see if you guys had any good ideas. Let me know, i'm searched all the Ubuntu forums and what i find is that alot of people are saying that the wireless is working right out of the gate, which is not the case, i'm sure of it. But if you guys know any thing good or have a similar problem pls post, the help is appreciated. I belive the dell inspiron is running and Intel Pro wireless card. The model is 3945 i belive.
  17. I had a similar issue with my desktop Nvidia 6800gt. It turned out to be the video card was messed-up. As far as my guess is it might be the video card in the notebook. My advice would be to speak with the tech support of that company, (i know tech support is noobish) but what ever gets the job done with out a head ache.
  18. yea i tired them, and the one sparda gave me worked, so it's all good now, thanks for the help everyone.

  21. i'm more of a AMD Nvida man, but i'm not going to give you advince on hardeware. What i will tell you is that what ever you do when you are bulding a pc is don't get fustrated, if you get fustrated you fail lol, that what happened to me and i broke a very expensive video card. And have fun builing, your fist time building a pc will always be your favorite. Also,be gental with the Motherboard. You hit that wrong or scratch it, tht can cause all sorts of headachs. Well, have fun budy.
  22. Well, i know when most of you guys read this your going to think i'm a total n00b which i am, but i'm on a wireless network that is open in my building and i'm trying to get familiar with nmap. I was wondering if there was a way to use nmap in a way that will tell me what computers are on the network and what there corresponding ip's are. Any help or any direction to a nmap tutorial would be appreciated. p.s Incase it matters, i'm running ubuntu. I'm not sure if the different nmaps have different commands. Thanx again -Chalito-
