    MIT

The one thing that freaks me out about MIT is all the crazy advanced stuff that comes out of that school. I mean, there is no way anything that comes out of MIT would come out of any college in Brooklyn or Manhattan. I had an cousin that went there in the 80's and whenever I bring up MIT he always talks about the studying and all the pressure they put on the students. But I guess it works because of all the brilliant minds that have come out of that school.
  2. Dam, I really wanna make it out to Shmoocon. I don't know if i'm going to be able too, i gotta start saving for Defcon 15. But maybe i'll just ninja the money from my parents to take bus out to DC. It can't be that much, I don't live to far away.
  3. First off, I like the way it was written, and the fact that you use quotes from the hacker manifesto. It was interesting and it kept my attention. But what exactly was the point of the piece? I know it's not a re-write of your last article, is it how a hacker might find them self in their younger years? Or is it how the hacker society doesn't fit the mold of what a "normal" group of people should look or act like? If you can elaborate a little more that would be nice. But other than that I liked it and I enjoy reading your work. Kind of makes me wanna write something up as well.
  4. Hey guys, i'm looking for a app that will convert my vob files to AVI or WMV files. Anyone have any good idea. I have the normal set of apps, DVD decrypter and dvd shirnk but I can't seem to find any app that will just convert them to AVI or WMV. Opensource would be great but if there is an easy paid version that will be fine too. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hey guys, I recently came into possession of a spare PC, I would like to make it a server so I can get more familiar with server based Operating Systems. I was looking at Windows server 2003 but I don't want to spend to much money so I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good Linux opensource alternative. Anything that would allow me to have a stable and easy to use network for the family. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I want to be able to take a standard PDF file and make it so that someone could download it and fill in the requested information through there computer without having to print it out and fill it in by hand. Any help would be appreciated . Thanks alot.
  14. Why pay for something if you can get it for free on the internet? Especially if you just wanna play with it to see what they have done with the OS.
  15. I Think Vista will be a nice improvement in the future. But until they work out all the kinks, I think it's still going to be a better idea to just stay with xp at the moment. But then again, When it come to my own preference I always say give the Linux Side of things a try.
