i was one time working on a friends compter when i notices smoke comming out of one of the fan vents. When i opened all i could say was "owned". There was a small fire on the cpu and hard drive. It has nothin to do with this thread but i just wanted to share =) But on the topic of the hard drive issue. I think the other guys are right when it comes to it being a power issue. If worse comes to worse, chances are your going to have to get a new one but i'm sure there is an solution to your problem. I hope you find it.

"normal" is just a state of mind. Most people wouldn't consider any of us "normal" for just being so into comuters. I have a life and i still play wow, granted I can't play like I use to back in the day but I can still find time in my day to pwn some nubs at wow ans cs. I guess it just depends on how much you like the game.

dude, WoW pwns. I have been playing for like a year and I have been forced to stop cause college is ghey. I'm a 60 mage and it's the best class in my opinion. And for whoever it was that asked about learning orcish, as far as i know you really can't learn it. It's just random stuff. Oh and no disrespect to Silver Hand server... TICHONDRIUS FTW!!!!!

right now i'm using the sentinal theme and it looks really kool, and it's not using to many resources.

I wasn't really aware that the skins even used system resources. I haven't seen any notable difference in they way my pc preforms...yet lol. I had been looking for new scins for my windows box because i'm use to hving a crap load of different skins on my linux box. Thats why linux owns. It's just so easy to customize.

I use a Dell Inspiron 1405. I Run Linux on mine so there is no gaming going on. For everyone to know now, if you plan on running Linux on any laptop you buy, Please stay away from Dell. There laptops are great but there on-board wifi cards are really hard to get working without knowing the proper drivers ahead of time. Although if you plan on gaming on a windows laptop why not go with the XPS? I have had some time to play with one a buddy owns and it's not bad. He actually replaced his crappy desktop with it. But then again he only plays two games, Counter Strike Source and World of Warcaft (btw WOW tolly pwns TICHONDRIUS FTW). Do yeah in my opinion Dell Laptops + Linux = Big headache, but Dell XPS laptop + Windows XP = Good time Gamming.
