Hey cooper what is a good linux live distro that has a windows virus scanner? I'm looking for something so that when I have to go fix my friends comp I can just boot off it and scan the ntfs drive.

My dell is about 2 years old and I noticed its onlly good for about 1.5 to 2 hours or so when I got it (new) it was good for about 3.5+ what can I do to reverse this or slow it down?

hmm true, if i could spend less then i defently would, but for most gamers, Airflow is important, for downloaders its even more. I was asking if that would work. right click my computer then properties then advanced then performance setting then advanced and then change settings and select your flash drive like I said I don't know how well it will work flash should be faster than HD. if I'm wrong someone correct me.

a friend of mine has a card reader hooked up to the door lock on his server room/closet and he used my California drivers license so I swipe my DL and the door opens kool the card readers are not expensive the only thing on the mag strip is whats on the front, and its not encrypted.

would you want to use it as virtual memory? is usb flash faster than your HD?

I could see one good use for emulators in that I cant afford to go buy every new console that comes out but if they had a good emulator i'd run that do decide which one I will buy.

try getting a mastercard or visa prepaid/gift cards most drugstore CVS Waalgreens type store sell them. card cost $5 us pluss however much you want to put on them. its a real debit/credit card.

I think he was talking about a clear plastic window on the side of the case with lights inside of the case so that you can see the internal components.

suprised noone said this yet for your router see if it does IP reservatioons in the DHCP settings and reserve an IP for that mac address, if not then set your DHCP scope to start at 192.168.1.21 and on the machine that you want to use as a server give it a static IP addres of 192.168.1.1-20 and disable its DHCP from network settings the you can do what ever you want.

Go check out your local chain autoshop and think about what mods you could do to your case all that stuff runs on 12 volts neon light tubes, remotes, hood ornements you cold put a webcam in ;) I saw a remote for your car door locks and want that in my case walk into room push remote button and computer starts up.... and it all cheap. :P

you could take a dict from one of the speech to text progs like Dragon Naturally Speaking that has commands and real words. :) train your Dragon well and in about a couple months you'll have a nice fat list. I believe you can even export the dict.
