  1. A mailserver near you? :p
  2. ...or you could all shut up. Back on topic please.
  3. Many Linux distrobutions don't work in Virtual PC, I have no idea why... Try either VMWare or booting natively with a live CD.
  4. Uh... I don't remember anyone suggesting a ban... Either way, not much need for this thread any more, lockafied!
  5. If it's XP, just go to taskbar properties and tell it to Always Hide that icon.
  6. Nice to see you again too, wb :)
  7. Can I get that on a tshirt? *nods* We do mugs and mouse mats too ;)

    Go Vista?

I dunno about the specifics of what you do, but using my Radeon 9250 in Vista (unsupported, but a driver is provided) failed miserably... however, switching to my nVidia 5200FX gave much better results... so as far as nVidia cards go, anything above a 5200FX will be fine (though not necessarily optimal). Networking wasn't a problem for me, though I'm on wired ethernet... my 10Mbps NIC was way too old to have a driver but to my surprise an XP driver for it worked flawlessly, though I was using Vista 32-bit and apparently the 64-bit version of Vista does not support XP drivers, even if they're XP64 compatible. I've not tested this, I don't have a 64-bit system.
  9. Yeah, but this is the UK, two snowflakes and everything comes to a stop ;)
  10. Please don't hijack threads, if you wish to ask a question please start your own thread.
  11. I was hoping for it, it never came. *sob*
  12. Also note that "right click - save as" on the link to the video will give you "redirect.avi" rather than "hak5--episode-info.avi".
  13. Well WinAmp Streaming NSV support is new to VLC for the last version or two so it might hiccup a little. It's also Nullsoft's own proprietary format, so to have NSV support at all is a big plus. Hasn't been a problem for me though, I gotta say... For the most part though VLC is fairly flawless, give it another chance and I don't think you'll be disappointed, if NSV support still doesn't work for you, I think it will do within another version or so. :)
  14. I don't actually have a Wii (or, oddly enough, a Mii) so I was tempted to just use my debit card number. I don't think I'll do that.
  15. Yep, I dunno how long ago you tried VLC but it's near impossible to fail with VLC, especially with the newest version, it kicks some serious ass.
  16. Can you stop with the just google it? I've seen you say that about 3 or 4 times in the last 12 hours, quit it, will you? Sure, I say it sometimes, but if that's all you've got to say, maybe you might want to think a bit harder next time you post.
  17. I'll look forward to that... ;) *sits by the door waiting for his plane tickets* :D
  18. Oh, for crying out loud... Right, xxAtimiskxx - stop telling people to google it if it's a reasonable question. Fine, if it's something you get asked over and over and over again that's clearly and obviously available in the first 5 pages of Google. then say what you like. Sunari - Ignore him, he's having a brainfart.
  19. Aida32 is good, I've used it a few times in the past, very comprehensive reports... it's also featured on BSoD Episode 10 (BSoD, AIDA32)
  20. We know, we just told you that. Anyway, it's working now.
  21. Nope, no you haven't, you've got a "this guy stole an image from us" avatar.
